DESSA'S HOMESPUN SCENTS 7/20 Preorder List Overview + I NEED YOUR HELP!

Hey there! Today I'm going to be sharing the preorder list for Dessa's Homespun Scents Preorder that is scheduled for July 20th. This will be the first time that i'm purchasing from this vendor, and could use your advice. I hope that you enjoy!
Note: One day I will learn to keep the scent notes in the center of the screen so that the top doesn't get cut off. Apparently today is not that day lol What you see on recording, is not what you see once it's transfers to KZbin. Most of the blends are fine, but some of them get cut off. So sorry!

I’m really excited to see how her new formula performs. In my apartment, I always got great throw. In my larger house, it’s a bit more hit and miss. But her fall and Christmas blends are so amazing. Her spicy blends are usually very spicy. And her smoky scents are really smoky. So, for you, for sure avoid spicy scents and I think you’ll love her smoky scents.

As always, hearing your thought process helps me decide how to order. My favorite from Dessa is her streusel blends. I’m not much into the heavy cinnamon blends, but the Cinnabon is delicious and authentic. She has a pumpkin cinnamon roll, and it’s so good, too. I don’t really like pumpkin in wax, but I love that blend. Her new raspberry oil is amazing, too. I can’t wait to try her new formula to see how the performance is. For the ones I've listed above, I get excellent performance. Just like any wax, you find what works best in your home. I love the chestnut one, but it didn't perform well. I'm tempted to try it in the new formula.

Oh my gosh your first purchase! You definitely should try lakeside, pirate voyage, fireflies, and I think it's called stormy nights. I think you would really love pirate voyage! It's an all-time favorite

Vanilla voodoo is very strong for me and heaviest on the vanilla birch. I think you’ll like it.

How exciting for your first Dessa order. I wasn't going to order, but she has reformulated her wax for a stronger throw! Chestnuts Roasting on an open fire is amazing, worth a small size just to try. Fireflies is a must. If Graveyard Mist is like Pirate Voyage, yes yes yes! Pirate Voyage freaked me out when I first tried it, so musty, dirty smokey, literally like you walked into a wet old haunted ship.

Hey friend ! So I have only had one experience with Dessa’s in 22 . I went in heavy I am definitely intrigued for the names of these! I just found, most of everything I ordered didn’t perform well for me. I feel like Autumn Equinox will be incredible, I’m so tempted in all the same scents your saying yes to. Maybe, her stuff needs a longer cure time?? I feel like I did let them sit for quite sometime. Fireflies was one I was so jazzed to try but it didn’t do well in my home. I’m on the fence if I should try again!’😅 Especially Graveyard Mist!!! The names are calling to me 😂

Hi Alexis! A few of my favorites from Dessa would be: Georgia Peach (I usually hate peach, but it’s very sweet and the most authentic I’ve tried), Raspberry Jam (it’s the really GOOD raspberry!), Cinnabon, Sweet Macerated Strawberries. Someone gave the idea of mixing her Beach Nights with Kettle Corn, so I tried it and it’s sooo GOOD!

I cure her wax honestly I’ve found I get much better performance a year later but I’ve tried 6 months and if not performing I put away again . Sweet macerated strawberries is a must have .

I used to order from Dessa but I stopped- I think because of performance….im probably going to g to try a small purchase this time around but I really don’t need another vendor that requires a year to cure. I just have a hard time with that kind of cure time.

@@adaorange Fessa is like 50:50 for me . Not much I’ve warmed that I reorder but a few on list I want to retry . I made a list and going to cut in 1/2 .

Once you try her wax and find your favorites, you can create your own custom mini or large loaf! So fun to do. I once combined Chestnuts and Brown Sugar with Fireflies and it was life changing (drama queen over here)😅

You have to try her rasberry jam! I found her old formula hit and miss where some were very light some were good in my bedroom space with only a couple Good for open concept. But her new formula is supposed to hold more oil and I’ll def be making an order to try it because the scents themselves are phenomenal. Fall is Dessas niche

The fall scents on the list just seem totally up my alley. Really interested in so many of them! I'm going to pass on the rasp jam for now just because we are going into fall and winter but that sounds really good. Thanks for letting me know!

I blended Orange Grove with a tree scent. Definitely not for me, couldn't tolerate the scent when melting.

I am not a part of any Facebook wax groups so I like these talk through videos!! I only ordered from Dessa’s last fall and I did break a way bars. I have only melted a few things but they were mainly coffee scents/bakery. I like to melt these on the weekends/when I’m off from work. I have to go through my complete list when I get home to see if anything I picked up is repeated on here. What is the new wax formula? I thought hers was paraffin.

I cure my TB for a year and have no problem so I’m happy to do that with Dessas as well if it works. Plus it’s a new formula it sounds like so I’m hopeful for good things!

​@AlexisSchlueter have never cured my TB'S for a year, unless it's because I'm melting other wax. I bought once from The Bathing Garden and let it cure for 8 months and got little scent on cold. Decided I didn't wax wax that needed a long time to cure.
