His skills are awesome and I couldn't make it better (not even close). But, as a photo realistic renderist, this result is crap (if we compare it to an actual render).
@kodeDev4 жыл бұрын
That is some amazing work! For the ones that said it doesn't look realistic have to understand that REAL is REAL and at the end of the day there is no substitute for that... But this is darn near close!!!

@Ethan Reed But, this can be done in 3d with less hassle and with multiple poses (3d) options. Just imaging, he made just one-posed still image. Of course, he has a great talent being a 2d flat designer.
@theblah124 жыл бұрын
Asif Javed Yeah, it’s impressive no less, but realistically this sort of photorealistic art could be done *much* faster and easier in 3D software like Maya or Houdini. Ultimately vector graphics are most useful for stylised illustration and design - this is really pushing the limits of what’s practical with vectors rather then raster rendering. Which is sort of the point, I suppose.
@priceostia62924 жыл бұрын
Nobody who just started 3D modeling can archive this level. To render this kind of physical based lightings, you need to know nd have certain external renderer or deep knowledge for beggars.
@crystalmeth4374 жыл бұрын
3d software will do this artwork a lot faster and it will look much realistic, so...
@theblah124 жыл бұрын
@@priceostia6292 Still, the level of skill required to achieve this in a 3D render is going to be way less then achieving it in a 2D vector software like Illustrator. It's sort of like trying to create a realistic painting in Paint compared to Photoshop - the latter still requires a lot of skill, but Photoshop comes with so many tools like pen pressure, blending, brushes etc that make it so much easier and more intuitive. 3D renderers like Arnold designed specifically for rendering realistic materials that are effected by things like subsurface scattering and reflectivity, the sort of stuff that's being emulated here in vectors. In fact even painting this in Photoshop would be much easier despite being essentially the same skillset, even if you loose the lossless quality of vector graphics. Vectors simply aren't designed for illustrations with a ton of detail, blurs, and blending - you have to go through a lot of steps to do things that you get for free with regular Photoshop brushes.

Technically, all elements created in illustrator acts like its own layer. You can still tweak these elements individually even if they're under one layer, that's why it's not always necessary to add a new layer per element.
