@@Stray03 to be fair, i imagine people who are only familiar with modern firearms via modern media would see a large caliber rifle as massive. It is a large rifle being held by a larger than average man, certainly not a 9mm pistol or even a .22 rifle.

I love this, it gets me so emotional and in tears. I used to be so protective of memories like this, teenage poetry, first ever $100 dollar I made as a translator, my dad's telescope, unique books about the history of Syria and about physics translated from the USSR. Then the Assad army and his Shabiha looted my house on Live TV, in Yarmouk, Damascus, Syria. I have no home anymore, I'm a Syrian refugee rejected on this Pale Blue Dot.

Objectivity is also my favorite Brady channel. It and SED are two of my favorite channels on KZbin. On another note.. I also have a Springfield 1903A3 and it is a wonderful rifle. I don't think mine is in as good of shape as Destin's though. Mine sits in the back of my safe next to my M1 Garand.

You want to hear something super depressing? I once had a N. Armstrong signed picture and about 4 years ago I was unemployed and was about to become homeless so I ended up selling it and wish I didn't all the time but I don't regret it because it kept me from being homeless. Someday I hope to be able to get one again but doubt it will happen.

Brady works with so many interesting people, I think we should establish the Brady Number as the educational KZbin equivalent of the Erdos number. If you're Brady Haran, your Brady number is 0. If you appeared in an educational video with Brady, your Brady number is 1. If you appeared in an educational video with someone with a Brady number of 1, your Brady number is 2. Etc.

I froze at 1:12 - Destin that’s the rifle Bucky Barnes used in WWII and I am shook. The only reason I have any knowledge of this what’s the weather is possibly researching my Dragon con costume and I ended up having to print out a hi-res picture and basically tape that onto a painstakingly carved out piece of cardboard but I got a lot of compliments on it. I will only add that the model you’re holding may be the only gun I ever want to handle IRL

The spring field 03 was more a WW1 rifle. By the time of WW2 this gun was antiquated and was on its way out for the American military. Bolt action rifles in general were on their way out by the time WW2 started. However huge stockpiles still existed.

I was surprised to learn that both Remington and Smith-Corona ramped up production at the beginning of WWII. I don't know how long that lasted before the M1 Garand took over. But one variant of the Springfield was the sniper rifle of choice for the US Army in WWII.

He just found real success in the last year really, with Patreon supporters and the financial means to make videos his full-time job. He's also still young, so he might not have collected as much. Then again he might already have some cool stuff, who knows.
