I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd be thrilled to see a follow-up video retrieving that cassette from the salt mine.

Might be a question for standup math's, but I wonder how long it'll take for a duplicate pick to take place, how many drawers and cards are there in that card catalog?

I feel very old when I see guests struggling with c. 19th handwriting. The first letter was in a beautifully regular hand, and only a few letter forms seemed the slightest bit unusual. And then I realise I learned to write (and read) so long ago that italic writing still seems radical to me. I suppose also my own handwriting was so appallingly ill-formed that I got a lot of practice reading really bad stuff. Makes you realise how much everyday skills and knowledge erode. Mind you, the second one is awful, and some of it would be hard even without the bleed-through.

I was surprised that he had trouble reading the first letter; I was reading along quite well. I can't say the same for the second one.

Objectivity is still my favorite Brady channel. I wish it were better known, but at least the excellent episodes will always be here for people to discover.

I keep hearing Mr. Moore on various Radio 4 programs. It's always a thrill when you hear the voice, and go, "Hang on a minute! That's Keith from the Royal Society & Objectivity! I know him (sort of)!"

Please, Keith, how do new cards get added to the card file? A practical question for you! Your library is grand, thanks for sharing it.
@renerpho7 күн бұрын
Oh, an episode about how Keith adds something new to the archive -- from receiving the item to it being fully catalogued. I like that!
@merseyviking7 күн бұрын
I believe it is all computerised now, and the card index is just legacy. IIRC, it was mentioned on an episode ages ago but don't ask me which one!
@lorawaring8837 күн бұрын
@merseyviking quite likely. The card files I used to know had a sort of notch, rather than a single hole securing it to the rod. Just curious.

When do we get the "white gloves of destiny to find stuff at Keith's house?"
@renerpho7 күн бұрын
Probably never, but we know of a few things he keeps there that are of interest. During the COVID lockdown, he did an interview with Brady where he was asked what he would one day want to give to the archive. Books from Keith's youth mostly, if I remember correctly.

I can imagine Brady walking around in there in the manner of Loyd Grossman.
