I lived here in Herrenberg for nine years and wrote a chapbook of poems about the church's artwork & other cultural gems. It's my favorite place on earth

Wonderful portrait of this beautiful town! I live not far from Herrenberg in Esslingen, but watching your video opened my eyes for this treasure for the first time! Now I must visit Herrenberg a.s.a.p.! 🤗 Thank you so much!

Love your destination videos...you tell so much about history...these towns should pay you to come and make videos... It was hard to read the titles you were putting up...went too fast....had to decide if I wanted to look at the building or see what it was... Keep them coming...great pick for a destination...

It's mostly the old architecture that captures people's hearts and attention. Maybe architects nowadays could think about it.

Another top quality production from Rewboss. All the work that went into making this video is evident in the final product and is definitely appreciated. I've also got to say that it must have been loud enough to rattle your brain when those big bells were ringing in the museum.
@rewboss5 жыл бұрын
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be: not as loud as, say, a rock concert. Those with sensitive ears might want to bring earplugs, but I had no issues at all.

When you come next time to northern Germany, please take a step to my hometown Stade. It has two churches from the 13th century and a beautiful city that was mostly built in the 17th century. You'll love it!

I love the attention to details, especially with the historic stairs. I really miss Germany! Was luckily there on the last two weeks of June, but stayed mainly in Berlin for a conference (basically for free). I hope I could visit southern Germany, too!

I really like your destination videos (actually I like all your videos but the destinations are my favorite). They show what treasures are available in Germany particularly the ones that are not on the tourist routes. Your insights are interesting and amusing. With my holiday coming up in September I have visited Germany 5 times. I have found that I really prefer those places that are not overflowing with tourists and your videos give me ideas on possible places to visit. I also thought that it was time to become a patron so I started a Patreon subscriber today.

Small correction the Mercedes Benz museum is in Stuttgart not Sindelfingen there's only the factory, but besides that great video :)

Ugh. I could have sworn the museum was in Sindelfingen. I thought I'd checked, but now I see you're absolutely correct.

Why is e not striking the lowest note of the chimes? Where is the bell? Funnily enough, the sounding note of the Gloriosa is a slightly flat B-flat, with the lowest note of the ccime figure being a B natural That liturgical bell is so loud it distortst the camera microphone.for the footage of it swinging. Can you do a re-edit fiixing the audio at this point? Great video otherwise.

Many comments pretty much said what I wanted to say. I just want to let you know that I'm in agreement with all the improvements, what you added and featured. I'm also glad that you explained more in this destination video. Keep it up! I hope you get more Patrons to do more destination videos.

I spent several weeks in Herrenberg for work last year and liked to walk through the old town, it looks really pretty :) lovely to see a video on it here, many things I recognize but I also missed some stuff it seems :D I've definitely noticed the lovely Kirchgasse guesthouse but my company put me up at the H+ hotel which is a 5-10 minute walk from the city centre in a little more industrialized area but definitely a hotel I can recommend and you can park right in front of it.

Nice to see a video of the region I've grown up from an other point of view. Thank's for that. I also can recommend a cycle event: The "Radsternfahrt" takes place in Stuttgart every summer. Cyclists from all over the region ride to the federal state capital - as well from Herrenberg. I did ride this tour from here last year - it was quite nice and entertaining.

If you like your churches crooked and sinking, go to Lemgo in North-Rhine Westfalia and visit St Mary's there! Word has it you can get drunk just by looking at the pillars. ;) The ground is so unstable, they had to build the bellfry on the wrong side of the church. They also have an excellent organ, now restored to its original renaissance tuning. The rest of the town is also quite pleasant. The old residence town of the former pricipality of Lippe, Detmold, is nearby, also quite nice, featuring one of Germany's largest (if not THE largest) open air museums.

Chimes can have 1, 2, 3 or 4 notes. But you're correct: in Herrenberg, one of the bells has hairline fractures, so can't be rung.
