With a bold and delightful kickoff from the Burning River Boys barbershop quartet, the 2024 Destination Cleveland annual meeting at the headquarters of CrossCountry Mortgage in Downtown Cleveland's Superior Arts District proceeded to highlight the recent performance and plans of our region's convention & visitor's bureau in "the land of keeping 'em talking."
Reviewing the 2023-25 Strategic Plans that include strengthening perceptions of Cleveland as well as attracting visitors, plus recent campaigns such as the unconventional and effective 2024 Puppy Bowl and programs designed to stimulate economic development (building murals & architectural lighting), board chair Jon Pinney and president/CEO David Gilbert revealed key performance indicators showing increased hotel room nights booked and improved visitor experience satisfaction, with room to improve on visitor perception of inclusive experiences.
In "The Land of Getting Involved," they encouraged businesses and local supporters to visit Destination Cleveland's site to become a "Cleveland-gelical," join the local advocate group, show their neighborhood love, offer testimonials, and become a Cleveland talent alliance ambassador.
also performing at the event were CLE Music Group trumpeter Wave Magnetik (Donald Malloy) and acoustic duo Marina Strah and Sami Butler. ThisIsCleveland.com/getinvolved
