Destination Star Trek - London, November 2021 | Vlog - Daniel, Obviously!

Hi guys n girls!
So this past weekend, myself and my boyfriend Ritchie attended the 3 day Destination Star Trek event at the ExCel Centre in London! It was my first Trek event and considering I’ve not really seen much of Trek, I really enjoyed the event and enjoyed seeing Ritchie so excited and happy!

I actually really enjoyed this. Loved seeing all the little chats with the guests. I think it's nice to see Ritchie's genuine interest too in the video. Looks like it was a fun day. Now I've seen it I might go next year.

This video was absolutely FANTASTIC. I loved all the interactions with the actors. I've always been more of a Star Wars fan than Star Trek but I love Discovery and have been getting more into the older stuff now too. I went to Destination Star Trek before the pandemic and loved it. Was gutted to miss out on this one. Will have to go back next year. Seriously great video. Thoroughly enjoyed this!

This event looks so well organised and well put together compared to other events we’ve been to The guests look so happy to be there and actually meet the fans and have chats I’m glad you & Ritchie both had a great time Those badges Ritchie got are actually really nice tbf especially the ship ones you’ll have to get him a corkboard so he can display any badges he gets Great video as always hun :)

Yeah it was really well organised! & I agree, the guests did look very happy to be there and I loved that they were all happy to chat and have fan interaction - it was so cute seeing Ritchie so excitable and happy, bless him!

You can really tell how much of a fan Ritchie is, I love how well thought out his questions and comments to the guests are 😊 You can tell he's really made some of the guests day 💖 The interaction with Kate Mulgrew seemed a bit...lacking unfortunately 🙈😂

Yeah bless him, he’s such a Trekkie geek! It was so cute seeing him all excitable and interacting with them all 🥰 Kate was disappointing if I’m honest, I came away from meeting her really disappointed as I’d wanted to meet her for years and that’s what I got 😔 But we think she was overworked at the event, so hopefully I’ll get a more positive experience in the future! 🤞🏼

@@EmmaCosgrove123 yeah it didn’t help that Roxann Dawson cancelled which meant that the Commander and Admiral packages who had her as their free top tier guest (like I did!) had the option to choose between George Takei or Kate Mulgrew as the replacement, and as Kate was £65 and George was £55, I bet the majority picked Kate to save themselves a tenner!! Whereas I picked George so Ritchie could meet him for free 😁

@@DanielJLacey Ah I see! Yeah that makes a lot of sense 😊 It looked like a good comic con, well organised with a fair bit to do. What were the stalls like? (Obviously I know you don't care about trek merch but was there a good variety or just the usual guff?😂😂)

@@EmmaCosgrove123 yeah it was pretty well organised!! The merch stalls were pretty much the same stuff, mostly Trek related so I didn’t pay too much attention but they had old books, action figures, star ship figures, funko pops, autographs, clothes, posters, art… the usual really 😂
