Thanks so much for the update! Glad to see you doing well! Your budget breakdown made me feel so much better! We are getting married in November 2024 at a private beach club in Punta Cana and are at 19k for the venue, ceremony, and reception for 32 people and 35-36k in total for everything 😅. The 18% tax is wild, but it’s a once and a lifetime experience and as you said a week+ with the people you love most is worth it! Ah I am back and forth on fireworks too, as of now we are doing a fireshow but may switch 😅!

Thank you sooo much for your step by step expenses. You have given me so much insight and to begin saving now. I can tell you now, i definitely want that over the water feature. I showed my partner and he was like if that’s what you want. I can lowkey tell he liked it too. I will definitely be looking into Dream Cancun. I did have Dream Costa Rica on my list. I will def be using your guidance tutorial on my planning.

Unfortunately this specific resort doesn’t allow fake florals, however if you plan to be at a different resort/location I’m sure you could try to DIY it.

Yaaay! Thank you so much for making this video! So helpful to hear your experience. Quick question - what was your experience checking the neon sign? Did you have to go to a special counter or did you just check it right where you check your suitcases?

Yes! We checked it in with our normal luggage, however when you land it didn’t come out in the normal baggage claim area - It came out in the oversized baggage area!

I don’t have a video on the breakdown of all of the other expenses but that all was roughly around another $20-25K.

I’m getting married in April at dreams! thank you so much for this, one question: how did you go about getting your guests booked? Did you do a travel agent for a cheaper rate for them or did you book directly through dreams and told everyone to do that?

Aw congratulations! We used a travel agent to handle all of our guests booking - It helped with keeping everything organized and streamlined as she was able to answer any and all questions our guests had!

Yes! We had everyone just casually meet us at the lobby bar and handed them out there

How was the food? Did you do plated or buffet? I’m getting married there next year and I’m struggling with food😩

The food was good! We did a buffet.. I was worried about the food as well, one of the main reasons why I made sure to do a planning visit so we could taste different things and switch out anything we didn’t like. Most of our food items came from the Bbq menu - so we had bbq chicken, ribs, salmon, rice, veggies, like 3 different salads and then dessert. All the guests enjoyed it!

@@ZeneseAshley ok perfect. I did a site visit but didn’t get to do a tasting. Im leaning more to the buffet because of the options vs the plated but i do like the idea of plated vs buffet. Also thank you for replying this helps!

Aww congratulations!! We weren’t charged a fee because our DJ counted as one of our guests since she was there the entire weekend. We only had to rent the sound system through them for the welcome party & wedding day.

So our DJ technically counted as one of our guests since she flew in and stayed the whole weekend. We just told them one of our guests would be doing all the music & just rented the audio system from them.

@@Cashindomo I stated in the video I didn’t even know the final grand total of everything because I didn’t care to sit and total everything up because the money is spent! However, the total for just what we spent at the resort was around $35K

Getting married is something that pleases the Most High because He is the One who instituted the arrangement. I wish more people would do it. It really makes sense for those who want to do the right thing.
