I like the that it has a few places to dine as I like to stay on property. I'll have to see the reviews for the restaurant. Good review.

Unfortunately we didn't go to any of the on side restaurants. We did look at the menus and they do of course have what we call "resort style pricing". Meaning much more expensive when compared to similar restaurants not at the resort. There is also a lot of restaurants just a short drive away on 192. Thanks for watching!

They have 7 swim pools. We go every other year. Then they made the water park. A few years ago it's not longer there but the other side of west gate that would be the old west gate they have a pool there as well and they have a big pond that got run by one of the hurricanes. It was really nice.

I'm not sure where you get seven pools? This tour is of the Town Center side of the property. It is co-located with Westgate Vacation Villas. I count nine pools in the older Vacation Villas section and three in Town Center, which I show in this video. That is 12 total. I don't come up with seven no matter how I look at it. I will have room tours coming up from the rooms we stayed in. Westgate Town Center is located with Westgate Vacation Villas. We didn't stay in a room at Town Center but will have a room tour of the one we stayed in at Vacation Villas. I am sure we will be back to Town Center some day and will post a video of that room if/when we go back.

The grounds do not look as well kept as Marriott properties. So glad we purchased at Marriott. I'm sure rooms are much nicer at Marriott. How did you like your stay? What did you think of rooms, Amenities, activities??

I would agree about your assessment of the grounds. There were several things we noticed about the grounds and exterior amenities that were not up to Marriott standards. The rooms were large and, at least the one we had, was recently renovated and quite nice. Overall the furnishings weren't at the same level as Marriott but we found the living room furniture to actually be more comfortable. Marriott sofas are not comfortable to sit on. There are also some issues with workmanship of the renovations. The resorts certainly have a different feel to them but we couldn't beat the price. Less than $300 all in for a week long stay in a two bedroom. Marriott getaway pricing in Orlando has gone up a lot the last couple years. We see ourselves willing to go back to the Westgate properties because they seem to be much cheaper. I do have a video recorded and am editing talking about my thoughts on these properties and how they compare to what we are more used to with Marriott, Sheraton and Westin resorts.

​@@DestinationTimesharethis is very true. This time last year I was able to get a 2 bedroom lock off at grande Vista for less than 600 for the week. Now it's running over 900 or more. Sheraton Vistana Resort remains my favorite though. You can't beat the proximity to Disney

No presentation required. It was a special promotion that II was running called Platinum Escapes. You need to be II platinum to get that price but they offer these types of deals a couple times a year. Overall though, the price of Westgate getaways on II is quite cheap.

@@DestinationTimeshare I need to look more into Interval International. I am a DVC member and so I have II Gold. My brother would love to take my niece and nephews down to Florida but I don't have enough DVC points to give them, so booking them here as a Getaway may be a good option for them to save a ton of money but still have decent accommodations - without costing me any points.

Sorry. I deleted my previous reply as I had the wrong resort. The pools can get quite crowded. Not sure it will fee inconvenienced but there will be a lot of other people. They do have some quieter pools around the resort in the Vacation Villas section.

Not for free. You need to be a Westgate owner to get complementary waterpark access.

It was a great resort. We haven't stayed in a room there yet as we stayed at the Vacation Villas property next door. We will be staying in a one bedroom there in a few weeks. If you plan to use the waterpark and are not a Westgate owner, sign up for the World of Westgate Loyalty program and you can save 25% on the admission price.

Wow that place is huge. Ridiculous that they charge $25 for the water area. What other upcharges do they have? Sheesh.

All of their activities have some type of fee, but that is kind of the norm with many other resorts. We didn't partake in any other activities so I am not sure what all they charge for but I believe there is a fee for mini golf, swan boats and perhaps also to check out equipment. Though I am not 100% sure. Thanks for watching.

I am a interval owner. Am I charged the resort fee? I wouldn't mind staying here and paying the water park fee but not the resort fee.

I will have a future video about this, as we always heard there are resort fees, fees for wifi and many other fees. We booked in through Interval International (Getaway) and paid no fees during our stay. From what I understand, resort fees only apply to hotel based stays. Meaning you booked direct through Westgate on a nightly based rate.

I would agree. We noticed this in our rooms too. It certainly isn't up to the level of the higher end resorts, but for the price we paid, it was hard to beat for a seven night stay in a two bedroom.
