Went into this blind with an LFG group. We didn’t use a mic and used gunshots to communicate. We spent about 30 minutes with no clue as to what to do, but we got through it and it was definitely an incredible experience.

For my solo players, the weapons that worked best for me were Jotunn, Eriana's Vow, and Temptation's Hook with Vorpal and Relentless (ranged boss damage). When you get to the boss room, use Eriana's to rip the shields off the Chieftans and then hit them in the head with First Glance, (it two-taps them with the shield). Once you pull all three levers, jump down to one side and use either Eriana's or Jotunn to pound the boss with damage until he rushes over to you. Jump back up onto the platform above, run all the way to the other side, rinse and repeat until dead. The Hunter Stasis super works great for passive damage since it follows the boss.

God that was a pain to solo, but thank you for the guide! Pro-Tip for everyone, when dropping down to fight the boss, land on the little pipe before the floor. You can crouch on it and peg the bosses legs with anarchy/whatever you're using 😁

Just solo'd it on my Hunter today to get the exotic. I ran Sunshot, Stealfeather Repeater, and the Iron Banner Rocket Launcher. Switching between bottom tree Nightstalkers, and then middle tree for Spectral Blades for boss. Quick tip: aside from using the cheese when u just stand on the pipe to damage the boss, when the 2 Chieftains Spawn on the bottom level while in a DPS phase, don't be afraid to waste a rocket on taking them out, makes life much easier, so all you hate to worry about is the ads spawning on the top on occasion. Didn't even use my super, just had it so that I could turn invisible for a long amount of time and tank damage if needed for the third phase. Edit: also I'm only 1260 light

To anyone who can't find the objective on arms dealer just go back to orbit and retry until there are enemies behind the door. Most of the time people have already killed the baddies and took the objective and left the strike. If you join a strike in progress the objective has most likely been completed

Thanks for the guide. Helped me to figure where to go from the landing spot, but from there I worked to figure it around myself. Sure it took hour or two solo, then realized I cannot beat boss solo as myself... And then realized I cannot invite players mid-mission. So yeah! Had to run twice... Riffle is worth it though!

Soloing this mission was pretty fun, to be honest. being alone made atmosphere even better. The boss took some time, but I was able to cheese him by constantly going back and forth between the upper and lower level. Though for further runs I'd prefer to not run alone to speed things up

Grab the left lever, then the right lever, then the goop wall, go through the door, hop on one foot, kill 7 scorn but leave the 3rd vent with the fuse. Go down, kill the boss 5 seconds before killing him pop the chicken petting emote. I love Destiny.

Wanted to do the mission mostly blind and I come back to watch the rest of the vid only to find out that I missed the spore that extends your time and was able to speed run that section with only the original 14 seconds it gives you. Gotta say that was a pretty good feeling.

I do believe the console in the burning room is the only important one to disengage the fire down below, all you have to do is activate the console on either side to open the burning room then hit the console in the burning room. You don't need to hit all 3 consoles, they're only on both sides for convenience depending on which side you come up from. Also, in that final room before the boss fight, if 1 person on the team makes it through the spore doors and puts down a "ready up" flag for the boss encounter, then a new spore pops up right before the last doorway, so if the teammates are having trouble getting through the spore doors they can just use the new spore right before the last door. Also, I do believe the guardian's ghost is right in that room, from what I heard in the dialogue we may have to go find that ghost in a later part of this quest line.

After crying multiple times and Dying over 60 times throughout the whole mission and spending over 7 hours trying to complete this mission. IVE FINNALY DONE ITTTTTTTTTTT FINNALY I GOT THE GUN!!!!!!!!! This mission was WAY to hard but I found a sort of easy-medium way to complete it and its a lot easier than just trying to kill the boss normally, If any of you Destiny 2 players are wanting this weapon then reply to me if you have any difficult times trying to get passed a certain part I will be glad to help you. One small tweak. When you are in the area just before the Rally Banner. Only 1 person needs to do the double spore chain. Once that person goes through the second barrier, there is a switch they can pull to open a door behind where the turret was. That door contains another spore. So the rest of the fireteam can just use that spore to get through the second barrier. Much easier.

I just got done soloing this at 1254 light. Not sure if your supposed to be able to but once the boss is below I would drop down one side shoot a rocket or two jump back up run to the other side and repeat for the 3 phases. The new exotic bow is great for clearing the shielded ads! Good luck!

@@BirdMoose I tried harbinger solo but the enemies were just too powerful, the first wizard doesn't even let you peek for 2 seconds before you die, even at 1250 or 1255. Heck I couldn't even do 'the corrupted' mission for malfeasance, a 1100 mission because the enemies were so strong there too. I did this mission solo though and it was amazing

Try double solar damage resistance for the boss, and lament for DPS, just don't damage the boss when there are still adds around. You can get each third of health down with 2 or so combos each time, and remember it will heal you when you deal damage

I used truthteller and dropped down fired a shot at the boss, jumped back up and reloaded. Did this on repeat for about 20 mins, used my smg and super to clear the ads which gave me more special ammo so I wouldn't run out. Wasn't too hard once I had a rhythm going but the anxiety of messing up almost got me killed a few times lol

Got it done today. Hunter with wither board, gnawing hunger assault rifle and rocket launcher (cant remember the name). Pretty easy once you learn how to deal with the boss. Master level is brutal though.

My game crased 80% way thru the mission i love my life Edit: this tutorial was literally top tier i have horrible memory and was able to remember the steps and beat the boss first try. I recommend using telesto its literally the only weapon you need in that. It does its job well.
