Only reason to grab this one is for the weaken perk. The notable perk changes for the other weapons would be the addition of rimestealer on the pulse. These 2 weapons are the only things worth grinding for if you have the others from last year.

Brother you are so correct. I have used the same guns for the past 6 seasons. Only new guns were the edge transit, strand sidearm, and stasis breach loader. Other than that been clearing all GM's with the same guns and builds

The Dawning is always the best in my eyes as it the best time to farm Bright Dust from the repeatable bounties. "You're telling me all i need to do is craft a single cookie and i get 10 BD???" I remember last year, bought the armor set for BD and made that BD back AND more just by doing the repeatables. and seeing as bungie is upping the drop rate for ingredients, it'll make getting these bounties done so much easier.

The machine gun is godly for ad clearance. I've never not had one equipped for solar weeks. Incandescent in combination with dragonfly or chain reaction is something to be looking out for

FotL and Dawning have been my favorite of the 4 ever since returning to the game during the BL era. These event weapons were always disregarded cuz of how weak they were compared to other weapons but ever since last year, Bungie has been making them hella spicy and I greatly appreciate that. The only nice thing is the armor and the machine gun if you don’t have it, other than that is the same garbage from every year. The machine gun had the same perks last year and you could even get it with double perks of the last two columns. You have the option with one gun to clear adds or do dps damage.

Still waiting for new Exotic Armour Ornaments themed around the events! Warlock, Eye Of Another World/Astrocyte is DYING to be a Snowglobe, bit of Tinsle taped around the outside frame bit if the Helmet! Titan, No Back Up Plans or Feedback Fence give them a bit of Snow, change the lights to Red & Green! Icefall Mantle similar deal! Or something like Eternal Warrior?
