I don't think the meta is going to change much. Dawns just have 1 less dodge unless they use heat rises where they get the 2nd dodge. There will be an uptick in storm caller usage, but I don't believe it'll be the main subclass. Novewarp with blink is the subclass thats going to see the most play next season. Dawns and warps.

Pulse wave is only chaos tree. I’m going to mainly use top and bottom tree stormcaller. Maybe some Nova warp and bottom tree dawn sometimes but I’m still gonna use top tree dawn just for aerial play

It definitely will not be the best choice, not only do you only get one dodge but when you want the second dodge you have to make your gameplay floatier than it already is and that’s not even the worse part, you say heat rises got buffed I say it got nerfed do you understand the severity of the enemy team knowing your exact position on the mini map is? that is a very bad trade off for high in air accuracy.

Honestly, PVE is really good in this game, but pvp, it’s just getting worse, I truly believe it’s wrong what they are doing, it’s like they don’t care, 2 old maps and 1 new map in the next year just isn’t good enough, and bringing back old maps is lazy, it’s part of the excitement learning the new maps. I think "Casualizing" (or whatever you call it) is a good thing. There are sweatlords playing at 500 FPS and benefiting from the fact that the more FPS you have the faster you move, the better aim-assist engine works and the better hitreg you have due to extremely low tickrate often screwing over players with low fps. (lower fps means slower internal clock of the game engine. In-game events register slower and often not make it in a proper tickrate tick "window". It causes significant input lag and higher latency). Do NOT even try to go competitive in D2 (LMAO) without 120 FPS at minimum. Players with not so powerful rigs are at HUUUUGE game-changing disadvantage. So i think the idea of calming things down a wee bit is a good idea.

I don't think it'll revert back to D1. The game can still be fast paced. People will still slide and you can still use Icarus dash with heat rising. Shotguns had a nerf coming and with that it opened up more selections to use. The real question is if they go back to having ammo crates for special ammo then yes it is going back to D1 lol
