I really don't see us giving in to Hive/Taken corruption, but now that the Traveler is awake it can probably make more Guardians by sending out more Ghosts, so we could potentially get new subclasses and weapons just because each Guardian can influence how they use their Light. In fact, I'm surprised that in the lore there's only a handful of subclasses, given that people have to technically be taught the techniques for existing subclasses (Sunbreakers shaped their light into Hammers as a cultural thing I think). We could DEFINITELY see more forms for our light to take with the right mentors and experimentation. Hell, I'm pretty sure that for more powerful guardians such as Cayde, Zavala, Ikora, and Osiris, they mainly stick to their chosen subclass because it's their most comfortable one, but they're probably all perfectly capable of shaping their light in other ways. I'd almost love to see Zavala go all out as a Sunbreaker or Striker, and to see Ikora unleash hell as a Dawnblade or Stormcaller would be neat, too.

Feral Kuja yea I completely agree and when I said about the darkness I didn’t mean the hive and taken I was talking about the raw darkness that is the enemy of the traveler. I hope we meet guardians who use both the light and darkness. I think it would be great to see them in the near future and it seems rather possible since the drifter has met the darkness and been attacked by it as well as Cayde in the past. Also we don’t know much about the Light and Darkness apart from they’re like two energy forms. Wielding them both would be too useful to pass up on.

Well, the Trailers as well as Destiny 2 itself. You straight up see her blast a Red Legion ship with a Nova Bomb in the first few minutes of the game. You never see her use any Stormcaller abilities throughout Destiny 2.

There is a possible way to being back Cayde. So if you go to Mars, there is a Lost Sector somewhere where there are some lore as well. Basically, Clovis Bray were the first who experimented and succeeded on making a functioning exo-human. All they needed was the core parts of the brain, and some brain cells. Yes cayde might already be dead, but if “Prince EMO” didn’t shoot his core brain parts, he might be restructured and resurrected.
