1. I think that Mara has more than one Harbinger left, simply because Mara is not known to disclose all her capabilities to all people, techians included. 2. Another weapon we should not let the Witness have is the Dreadnought itself. Its main gun, if salvagable, would be devastating for the opposing party and as the strike dialogue says, "If the reactor goes boom, so does most of the System."

Well if the harbingers are living creatures, they can probably breed. It's evidenced in "The Coven" lore. "All but one, the oldest. It stays with us. Sedia, Kalli, Shuro, take the children, tell her they are to be planted into a dead thing to have children of their own.” The way it was written is a little hard to follow, but it seems that maybe "harbinger" refers to a fully grown member of their species. Or that there's something else (the "children" referenced in the lore card) that can become a harbinger with the proper nurturing.

All of those things you just described were done by the horse, not xur. Xur was basically just there to speak where the horse couldn’t, the horse summoned him, not the other way around. Xur is a slave to the nine, who as of yet are undetermined as a friendly, enemy, or frenemy

I don't think Xur's capabilities have ever been established, the only thing we know is that he is mostly a servant/slave of some misterious entities. The horse, on the other hand, can literally summon the strongest living beings from any timeline (that include the guardians) and put them all in a pocket dimension just for entertainment.

I've got a weapon for you that I think should be secured if at all possible. The Aegis. It is literally a weapon of pure light so powerful it left a dent in the Vexs greatest weapon in Sol across every timeline. And somehow *curious as to how* Rhulk had it secured in his Pyramid ship as well. The Aegis might be one of the strongest light artifacts available to us if we can free it from the Vault/Rhulks Pyramid If only to avoid any study of it.

To a degree through it'll also probably get a new aspect to it's exotic perk as usual for returning exotics! Fun fact: the damage ramped up to the point where it would outright kill you. The only exception was the bubble in kings fall that healed you while you stunned Oryx. Still, I'm hoping that gun will see some more love in D2. Kinda sucked that it really was only used for stunning Oryx during the "damage phase".

It was... odd to go from something as insanely powerful like Willbreaker and the swords we forged out of its core to... Radegast's blade. On the topic of Willbreaker, though, it would be could if we used Willbreaker's core to create a sword of Stasis - it clearly has an affinity for darkness, a potential left untapped until possibly now. There's also the Husk of the Pit - or as most remember it, the Necrochasm - which we fed with the death of innumerable hive and eventually Crota's Oversoul. It may not be as infamous as Thorn, monstrously powerful as Touch of Malice, or recent as Osteo Striga, but reobtaining any and all Weapons of Sorrow is crucial.

I know we've purified the original Thorn, but it's been shown people can replicate Thorn to a reasonably dangerous degree. We've seen the Necrotic Grips interact with both Thorn and Striga to extraordinarily deadly effect.

In terms of story relevant weapons, I wish they did more with Salvation’s Grip. Back when Beyond Light was new, Stasis wasn’t “hehe cold bullets” or “Ice and snow!” It was our first gift directly from the Darkness. It was mysterious and its power was unknown. Then Drifter came up and said that he put it in a gun. That alone would have heavy lore implications or questions. What is Stasis exactly? How can you put the Darkness into a gun? Can paracausality be used directly as bullets or is it something more? But that went out the window when foundries started making cold weapons as if they always had been able to and the uniqueness of Salvation’s Grip went away.

I was just thinking the same thing about the mundanity of Stasis weapons. Byf bringing up the D1 Exotic swords again made me realize that we don't have an Exotic Stasis sword, which could have some excellent lore flavor if they made one. In fact, the only Stasis sword we have is Zephyr. This is just some random sword made for the Dawning. Where did it come from? Why would Tower/City smiths make the controversial decision to use darkness for this weapon, a weapon meant for Guardians during a sacred yearly ceremony celebrated by the city? What's even going on there? Like you brought up, there's the Stasis Hakke guns too (Perses and Palmyra). I would like a little more lore behind why these guns, and other Stasis guns like Vulpecula, exist.

Athenaeum World X and the secrets it holds is probably going to be an incredibly useful tool down the line. From the Cronicon, Difter's adventure outside the system, and Star Eater Scales, I think it's safe to assume that we'll be able to harness the powers of the Aphelion and the dark.

My bet is Aphelions, due to being described as radioactive, are creatures that weaponizes the Weak Nuclear Force using Darkness. Imagine being able to force atomic decay on stable nuclei until the target is decayed down to hydrogen, or even force protons and neutrons to decay.

And in the Cronicon we travel to Athenaeum World X, which from Drifters recount of his visit and the events of the Cronicon had both Stasis and the secret of the Aphelion. If Athenaeum World X was a darkness world with information on how to harness the powers of darkness that would explain a lot. We learn the secret behind the power of the Aphelion not necessarily the power of the Aphelion themselves. If they really did use the decay/corruption power of the darkness, then that just makes this world even more important for us to find and take control.

@@vegas6824 according to Calus in the Cronicon they are "one of the most advanced predators in the system" and we use the secret behind it's power to strengthen Calus' army. In the Dreaming City Lorebook Bamberga it's revealed that at least 2 awoken ships have been attacked by Aphelion, leaving no trace of survivors and irradiating the ships beyond usability. In the Star Eater Scales Loretab it's revealed that they seem to cause hallucinations for anyone in their vicinity. From the name and perk description it's also possible they eat or absorb Light and gain strength from it. I'm the dreaming City we learn that a group of Techeuns we're killed by an Aphelion, we would not be able to win against an Aphelion, and the Awoken Techeuns and Mara have a unique weakness against the Aphelion along with the Taken. We also learn that the only person to survive an Aphelion attack was Sjur Eido, the first queen's wrath. So basically it's a super advanced predator that uses radiation in some way, and according to Calus and his scribes, is in some way related to the Planet drifter visited outside the system which had light suppressing creatures and stasis.

They could do this by having us take the swords shard to The Relic on Mars, the Relic can return things to their previous states, so by giving it the shard of Willbreaker we could claim the original Willbreaker for ourselves. It could function as you described, with maybe some added flair or additional modes for stasis and whatever other subclasses we get down the line lol.

In The Coven grimoire card, and during the events of Forsaken, there is only 1 harbinger remaining (the oldest). Before the battle of Saturn, it was mentioned in The Coven that the harbingers used against the dreadnaught would “burrow deep and have children of their own.” As of season of the hunt (based on Queen Mara’s message to Zavala’s office), Mara is now in possession of the harbingers that were born via the dreadnaught.

I think the cannon blade we made was raze lighter. If i remember correctly in the first mission of d2 Shaxx had seemingly acquired it, most likely from the exploded vaults. It was on his back. So unless he wants to give it back to its rightful owner then we won't be using it anytime soon

Will breaker could feasibly be a sword that changes elements. Hold reload to change element, but add a twist to make you work for the power attack. Make players embrace the sword logic and require kills to generate sword energy instead of it slowly generating naturally over time. Maybe buff the heavy attack damage to compensate for the extra work needed to pull it off.

For all it's hype, for all it's done (good and bad), and for all it's endured, I really think it should get it's due against the Witness in some way. Like Rasputin has learned something, and at the right moment it comes back to do something amazing.

Rasputin will fail again and hide like the little bitch he is. My memory isn't perfect, but I think Harbingers are able to reproduce. Back in Destiny 1 I remember reading a bit of lore were a group of Tech Witches were getting the Harbingers Mara Sov used to attack the dreadnaught ready, and they talked about what to tell their 'mother.' Namely that her offspring were going to be planted in dead flesh. I may not be remembering it perfectly, but that might explain the discrepancy in the lore regarding how many Harbingers remain. Keeping one alive might have been all it took to start bringing their numbers up to a usable degree, though I suspect that even under the best circumstances there aren't that many and given how rarely they've turned up in lore/the fact unleashing them clearly did a number on Mara they can't be used on a whim.

As much as I'd rather it be darkdrinker, I think the canon sword was razelighter since we saw it on shaxx's back at the attack on the tower. But I'm more than happy yo reclaim my old trophies. And you would think that due to some of the particular weapons kept in our vaults, and how some have minds of our own, that there would be greater consequences to them no longer being in our possession(you'd think that would be a plot point bungie would use)

@@spacemegalodon5049 exactly! We are still the same guardian, and many characters actually mention our feats from D1 (if you’re using a character that transferred over at least). In many cases there’s separate dialog for “veteran” characters and “new light” characters. As for our old gear, it’s generally assumed most, if not all of it was destroyed when Gaul attacked.

Seeing an alliance with the Vex or at least a part of their network would be interesting. Tying the ideas of both those videos gleans a lot of possibilities. Imagine if we could do simulated battles of Crucible in the Infinite forest or use it to predict potential outcomes of battles. The sheer volume of resources they have is immense. From the vault of Glass to the Forge Star there is much they could do. I agree! It’s also interesting to read the lore tab for the Vex Mythoclast as it states that the weapon is “mysteriously fit for human hands” I can’t think of a reason why the vex would construct a weapon that could be wielded by a human. There may be a scenario where we eventually forge an alliance with the vex in a future timeline and the weapon has been sent back in time to us, similar to Saint 14’s Perfect Paradox.

Given that the special attacks of the 3 original exotic swords have been split amongst the legendary Adaptive, Caster, and Vortex frames, I'd love to see a Stasis version, perhaps. Or they could bring back the trio as far superior versions. Also, Young Wolf's Howl could be a neat returner.

Or, bring them all back as...Willbreaker. The Relic on Mars can return objects to previous states of their existence right? So we could give it the shard of Willbreaker if we can find it, and claim Oryx's signature blade for ourselves. This is too good of an ending to the story of Willbreaker / the exotic swords, they can't not do it.

Something they could do if they wanted to bring back willbreaker is give it a version of the fundamentals where it changes heavy attack along with elements on a press of reload. The heavy attacks could be buffed a bit or just give it Lament/deepstone crypt sword level of impact. That way it would be a nod to all the differnt swords you could forge out of willbreaker and not be to powercreept by legendary swords.

There still is some SIVA out there in the system. Even though Rasputin is currently still inactive maybe there is a way to use SIVA for its intended purpose to create things for humanity. Nanomachines could easily help build the equipment to equip an army. It also can be used in weapons such as outbreak perfected so maybe it will have another use in the future.

Really any weapon of Rasputin is a very powerful weapon we should seek out if possible. Now that Mars is back, we could theoretically see us bringing parts of the Warmind Network back up. I'm mainly interested in the weapon in 'Kalki's Burning Sword Pt. I' where it states "The beam kisses the rising shuttle and cuts through it, like a wire through a block of butter, as if the ship and everyone inside were as thin as the hydrocarbon sleet." I feel that in a future battle it could be very useful.

I would love to have a quest given to us by Lord Saladin to return the Iron Temple and retrieve "Young Wolf's Howl". It could be a trial where we make our way back up the mountaintop, slaying whatever is in our way, and when we reach the peak we see people living inside the walls of the observatory when the Iron Lords kept them safe during the Red War. As someone who loves any lore revolving around warminds I was surprised that there was no mention of any of Rasputin's many weapons out there in the system. With him currently in engram form (hopefully soon to return in exo form) I think we could see an attempt by the forces of the light to secure any weapons Rasputin would have. We know he at least had firepower significant enough that firing upon the traveler was something he at least considered so I think there's the possibility that there are pyramid stopping weapons. We know Rasputin used aurora knives against the darkness when it first arrived in the system but we don't know the scale of the darkness and what Rasputin currently had at his disposal. I personally think some of his protocols and weapons could be crucial in upcoming fights against the witness

Here’s my list of maybes for a potential list: The Haul (the thing the Drifter pulls behind his ship), that one Ahamkhara egg (if there isn’t more), any Ahamkhara bones we have lying around, SIVA (we know what it can do to a lightbearer so who’s to say it couldn’t seriously mess up a minion of darkness), all the weapons still lying around after the end of the Season of the Worthy (there’s no way we made just enough weapons to shoot down the Almighty), any potentially salvageable remains from the Almighty itself (if it wasn’t immediately stripped by fallen or guardians), the Deep Stone Crypt, any House Light splicer tech (if the Vex start to get riled up by the arrival of the Witness), the Elder Cipher that Variks may still have (could potentially unite all Fallen under the Kell of Kells, including House Salvation), the Tablets of Ruin (literally the instructions for making Taken), the Dreadnaught (if our guardian decides to assume Oryx’s power), the Future War Cult device (might just be the OXA machine), the Synaptic spear (more like the concept behind it, an attack on the mind is a powerful thing), the seed of silver wings, the Europan, Lunar, and Throne world pyramids, the Scythe from this season (there’s 100% something more to this than Eris lets on), Failsafe (golden age AI could be a very valuable asset), Savathûn’s ship (not quite sure of its full capabilities but could be useful), if Mercury ever comes back the Sundial and the Infinite Forest need to be secured fast, same with the Pyramidion if Io comes back, and finally the Exo that Ana Bray is trying to shove Rasputin into. That’s about all I could think of, hope some of these make it in a video.

First idea -- as dead mans switch you can put on the beasts from Drifter's planet, which are supposedly able to tamper with paracausality. Other ideas include something really simple yet devastating, like imbuing Siva strains with Paracausality to gain control, and turn them into even more terrifying "devourer swarm" type nanites that stand a chance against Pyramid tech and powers, or find some way to create extremely volatile somethings, that can use most dangerous interactions between stuff to create over-the-top IEDs or other bomblike armaments. Or on other shank, you can take Sol's most prone to crazy ideas Hunters, and pair them with most knowledgeable Warlocks, saying to trow any common sense and most of caution out of the window -- as long as resulting "thing" isnt more troubling for Humanity than it is a dangerous weapon, any sorts of insane and and outright scary ideas are worth considering. With humanity's penchant for making over-the-top weaponry and talent for making a weapon of anything we get our grabby hands on, Im not really sure that end result of brainstorming during calamities like arrival of Darkness, plus power of Paracausality, won't end up as something that would be sealed away by seven seals after first time usage and understanding just how outright conceptually terrifying said "instrument of war" is

Here's an idea for the Hadium Light and Dark hybrid sword. It does 2 types of damage just like Two-Tailed Fox. The sword has a Void caster frame projectile that poisons and suppresses a target. The regular sword swipe does Stasis damage, freezing the target and causing them to explode and freeze nearby enemies. This is just my idea for how it could work but this could easily be a great way to further expand the multi-energy type weapon category that so few weapons occupy.

Something I'm thinking about in regards to OXA and MSund12: IIRC Maya Sunderesh was also the founder of Future War Cult. Could OXA also be 'The Device' used by the FWC or something similar or based on OXA? Also, would be neat to see if the three D1 swords return with new effects/perks and ect. Could also be cool to see a season quest to reforge Radeghast's Blade recovered from the SIVA Complex deep in the Plaguelands in a manner similar to Excalibur to play more into the Arthurian myth (or maybe have to reforge ala Narsil/Andúril).

Rasputin remains one of the most powerful entities in the Destiny universe. Evidently the most advanced of all Warminds, and obviously the last, he's not necessarily the most powerful in terms of brute force. It seems pretty clear that he's the greatest mind in all of Destiny, likely outclassing many of, if not all, the greatest Vex minds. Every decision he makes is to ultimately protect humanity, and himself by extension, but in the extreme long term. Rasputin making a split second decision is really a multi-century plan. Then of course the player Guardian is a thing. No canonical deaths (excluding the one that got us into this), and a perfect track record for killing galactic tyrants, literal gods, and time traveling hyper-computers. Can't say much else about that.

In terms of weapons. The ability for the Nine to make kitbashed Taken out of dark matter is terrifying, they can craft whole spaces and armies out of the stuff (as seen in places like Prophecy) and we can pull those taken into our space (as the Drifter does using Motes). Hell, we've seen what happens when those Primeval Taken get unleashed by a lightbearer such as when Drifter used one to destroy an entire Cabal force.

I forgot about the artifacts from the Iron Lords. I remember feeling weirded out by them and not knowing how to use them efficiently. Are there any Ahamkara around for us to employ? I know Riven was supposed to be the last but I thought we've come across an egg since then. I wasn't around when Forsaken originally dropped so it could be I just played some of the missions anachronistically. It would be cool to have a season story where we find an egg and have to feed it or nurture it every week. At the end of the season it could hatch and be under our control.

On the subject of the original sword trio forged from Willbreaker, what you said about hadium makes me think they could be a perfect opportunity for an exotic sword that swaps elements, akin to Hardlight, Borealis, or anything with Osmosis. Since the first 3 exotics laid the foundations for current sword frames (Dark Drinker- Vortex Frame, Bolt Caster- Caster Frame, Raze Lighter- Adaptive frame), a return of them would be due a rework to actually set them apart from legendary swords If it were one exotic sword that either has the osmosis trait, something similar, or the special reload to cycle through elements, that could be pretty cool. The special reload could swap between sword heavy attacks, whether that's along side switching between the 3 Light elements corresponding to their D1 counterpart, or a separate toggle and the element is switch by other means such as ability activation. It could also make for our first Kinetic power weapon if it did go the route of a trait like Osmosis. Technically doesn't do anything "more" than the originals did collectively, but it can do anything any of them could do, so it represents them all with just one weapon, and it's exotic trait is it's versatility in how it can "switch between frames and elements". They could even just use the original legendary sword model and have the willbreaker fragment change colours to reflect it's current element since it's "balanced" again, being able to be arc, solar, void, or stasis; On the side of monetisation, the old exotic models could be used as ornaments. reprised

For the Hadium stuff... just thought what if we get a "Chain of Command" but as and exotic sword? So not only is it the only kinetic sword/heavy to exist ("balanced light and dark"), but it also inherits the element of its "surroundings" (ie. you, thus the sword can be turned to arc light or into stasis dark). Also is Mara says that there are multiple Harbingers... there are multple Harbingers. I don't want to upset that queen in particular.
