Destiny 2 Lore - Toland, The Shattered & the oaths Eriana Broke for her Vengeance. Crota's End Lore!

Destiny 2's Lore and Story leading up to the Crota's End Raid is defined by the 1st Crota Fireteam. Originally it was formed by Eris Morn and Eriana-3, who sought vengeance for the death of Wei Ning, her lover. Toland, the Shattered One, was the first guardian that they recruited to their cause. His knowledge of Hive arcana and lore was of utmost importance to the mission. Toland would join the team, but he had his own reasons to venture down into the Depths of the Hellmouth.

The gun needs a massive buff in general. It should be an anti-hive staple at the very least the same way Skyburner's should be for Cabal.

Eriana-3 wasnt string enough on her own to fight off the hive. The buff should be when team mates are near it can one shot the oversoul and gains bonus damage against hive this would compliment the lore where when they were a fire team they were strong resilient but as their members fell off they started to crack... this would justify the damage bonus needed to one shot the oversoul and throttle the weapon in things like GM.

@@TheInfamousS it did just get the same buffs that all hand cannons did. 20% additional damage to all minor tier enemies and 75% against majors. That includes champions like the anti-barrier ones you would want to point it at.

Bad juju really needs love. It needs some fancy perk to activate when you get 5x string of curses. The feel of the weapon is good. It genuinely feels hungry when you use it like Thorn and Osteo Striga, but it doesn't pack the punch of those two. It feels like a weapon to end all existence.

Theres a secret perk on the gun, where after u get a ceetain number of kills back to back, ur next kills make explosions. The number required as nuts, something like 149

Why don't we have more lore about Eris and Toland interacting in the time since then? He's certainly very present on the Moon, as is Eris. And Eris learned much of what she knows by applying Toland's research to her own experiences.

@@ShadowNemesis575 Radiant well doesn't need a nerf the other classes need better support supers. IMHO change bubble so you can shoot from inside of it would be a great change. For hunter no idea they really don't have a support super that I've seen but as I've never played hunter not the best insight lol. Also banner of war for titans is basically a mobile well and is VERY strong. Was doing an altars run today and had two banner titans...Jesus I was tanking shots from 3 nightmare wizards at once without taking significant damage.

It really says a lot that despite the fact there were thousands of Guardians who went to moon, they still lost. Love your videos but there is somthing I’d really love a closer look at, the Titan helmet Mask of the Quiet one. It paints a Titan in the light of a warlock, thinking more about how to use death for power, as opposed to the usual Titan response of punch it so hard it never was even there.

Think about it: the remaining worm gods still alive, upon hearing of the Witness’ defeat, and deaths of Xivu and Savathun, could try corrupting Eris. Her having returned from being killed after behind conjured back with vengeance-in the form of us killing Xivu, then slaughtering Savathun, and both hive gods’ broods. Learning that their numbers have depleted by much, and the Hive Gods no longer live to protect them, as well as Eris resisting the corruption of the Deep and the Worms, they then decide to ascend Toland the Shattered. Normally, they would rather first die before bringing back one as weak as Toland, as it is against the Sword Logic to do so: the dead deserve to die, the weak, don’t deserve existence. Yet, the events of Final Shape, and Witch Queen reveal they must, bend their rules, if they hope not to be hunted to extinction by the Guardians and they’re allies. Upon agreeing, they summon the remnant soul of Toland, and offer him a bargain that promises the fallen Warlock power and his physical form, remade, in the shape of the Hive. The Worm Gods, hiding their desperation like bandages hide a wound, hope that a human, scarred by the Hive as Eris Morn was, may be able to match her, and even be able to corrupt her as they couldn’t. Toland, Hive god of greed, would first bring the broods of Xivu Arath, and Savathun into his fold, then flocking to his banner. He then captures the Dreadnuaght, slaughtering those of Xivu’s brood that still occupy the flagship, sparing those that join him. After expanding and building up his Throne World, witch stolen riches, knowledge, and other relics, through conquest and trickery, his Throne World is established. With his only rival being Eris Morn, and many of his brood and enemies exhibiting greed of many forms: lust, grief of not letting go, blinded by hate, hoarding loot and knowledge, Toland, Hive god of Greed, aims to take all he wishes from Sol. Pride, manipulation, and ambition being his greatest boons, and greatest weapons.

To be honest, as someone who's been around since the beginning I appreciate the cleaner understanding of the lore. Bungie has changed, added, retconned so much and alot of the lore surrounding D1 is shaky so while I personally feel these remade lore videos are a bit bloated for me I can definitely see the need for the bloat for newer players. Imagine trawling through old lore videos after so many revalations over the years

@@ciguret Hell, the only thing we know about the possible subclass Vell used is that his quote is for a solar bounty in guardian games. So they had legitimately no support based abilities at all. 4 Solar supers(Both Warlocks, One hunter, and the one Titan) and 2 Arc Bladedancers(Eris and the other hunter)
