@@frankmigliore9240 possibly, what the vex did to this star system was a more advanced object of something called a Dyson sphere, a structure able to harness the energy of a star. @@FrostReach66 if I remember correctly what the vex are doing is a combination of a Dyson swarm and star lifting. Extending the life of a star by removing heavy metals from its core and adding more hydrogen is not necesarily impossible and has been theorized as a way to extend the life of our sun as well as something to be done to other stars one day. As a solution to the low amounts of heavy metals in the early universe it is quite ingenious, though I wonder where the vex got enough metal to build such a structure in the first place...

That pinnacle of cooperation is aimed at the annihilation of other pinnacles of cooperation. and those complex, recursive realities, are but false imitations of reality. The Vex's goal is to assimilate the entire universe into a single massive Vex construct. They do not follow the Gardener's philosophies, they perhaps unknowingly follow the path of Darkness.

Is it really co-operative if its with yourself? Vex are essentially 1 mind, after all. As for the vex being aligned, they typically aren't, in that they hate and fear paracausal entities. They technically follow the darkness, because the seek to make everything them, and apparently, in the garden before time, the vex are what resulted of the first system regressing into a single loop, the strongest loop that subsumed everything else into itself. Or something like that, my explanations are trash.

This literal starforge would be amazing to see but the story of Destiny is really focused on Sol...

I was hoping the vex network would have been more like their constructs instead of the Tron game. But the vex are like a technological eldrich horror. The more you try to understand them, a human brain couldn't comprehend it.

I’ve always wonder why the darkness, whose sole purpose is to end life, would help reveal the secrets of near immortality to Clovis Bray?
@garrettviewegh677
@garrettviewegh677 3 жыл бұрын
It could be the Darkness wanted him to create the Exos and trick him into letting the vex invade the solar system for some unseen goal. Regardless, Clovis was probably just being manipulated as a puppet in the Darkness’s grand plan.

@@garrettviewegh677 it could be a test of strength. If clovis kills the invading vex he can take the vex milk and earn immortality until he is killed.

I know this is meant to focus on Clovis, but is anyone else getting Toland vibes from Maya Sundaresh? I just realized she could have the potential, to use Toland's words, "to be our Virgil" with regards to the Vex (as he was to our knowledge of the Hive). I just hope we have some interaction with her eventually, because she can shed some much needed light (no pun intended) on the only enemy we know so little about.

The Vex forge star reminds me of the starforge from kotor. Both are mechanical monstrosities built to create tremendous resources by ancient alien races.

So who made the Vex though? Were the Vex originally just some Organic Alien Species that ended up making themselves into the Vex while building Voltanis? Did an Alien Species make the Vex to build Voltanis for them or something? Or did the Vex just come into being as they are some other way? It’s interesting that Clovis has the assumption that there was an Alien Species on one of the nearby rocky planets surrounding the Star that did everything, maybe it’s a hint or maybe it’s literally nothing but him making an assumption. Either way, I find it interesting that it gets brought up.
