Destiny 2 OOB: The Dreaming City Smoke Monster

I've covered this guy before, but it's so easy with skimmers. Plus I want to be able to find it faster when people act surprised when I mention the giant smoke monster under the map.

This area was never used. It's the ascendant version of the approach to where Petra would camp during curse week 1. It might as well be the DC's galaxy pools, just way easier to get to.

Those Darkness Tendrils remind me of something I caught happening in the Tower a couple times. Similar pillars just appearing off in the distance.

I’ve had a similar visual bug happen with the little shrapnel pieces falling from the Deep Stone Crypt on Europa. They would make those all those weird lines as they fell but a lot more frequently. It looked really cool and I’m pretty sure I still have a screen cap of it honestly.

It's a really good one for solo too, comes with a box break. You should go over to the Shuro Chi plates if you haven't. They're solid :D

It's looks like corrupted version of the Toland - it has similar light blinks, but not so bright. And this darkness "waves" around him.

Hey Froggy, I found another Quantum Skimmer spot on Nessus. It’s between The Cistern and Glade of Echoes. It could be used to get into the Exodus Down boss room, but I’m too sure yet

If these weren't there before then I wonder if its a symptom of adding a new effect that ends up switching other assets like the big ball on Europa that got changed when lightfall launched cause the cabal orb in the first mission shares the asset. Its also possible that those are effects meant to be used in the public event that are stored there and then moved to the event location.

i also believe in the most recent update or in TFS grapple flying will be patched, they patched the “titan navigatior dps thing” so i believe that grapple flying will be no longer

In this place i don't know why but there is something like a taken portal that spawn and despawn in the air for no reason

Is it not just a looping version of the effect that happens when taken enemies or bosses spawn? It kinda looks like that effect to me, either that or a small black heart 😂

Taken spawning can look a bit similar? Dunno what this is. Feels like unused content? Unless it actually was used once in a one time Forsaken mission.

​@@Froggy618157725 To me it looks like it was unused area and the "smoke monster" was were a taken boss like a big ogre or whatever would spawn in and the small bits of smoke in the area on the ground would be where some just small taken like thrall or acolytes would also spawn, at least without a side by side comparison it looks a lot like the effect of taken stuff that shows up when taken enemies spawn in, and I think it looks a little different because of the shaders and screen effects that are present when in the ascendant plane, kinda like in the dreaming city in front of the big door heading to the blind well where in patrol a bunch of taken will spawn there and fight scorn. I very well could be wrong and it was some effect that was only used in that very specific spot and either used only once and has been since removed from the game or never used at all, but that's just what it looks like to me.

how do u fall infinitely/loop the teleportation of the diving board? id figure u have to go farther out but i keep getting pulled back into the box each time i try

If you go a bit out away from the map, you can find regions of teleport that are out of box, and you just loop there.

My experience when games have these kind of underlayer designs it's usually it was cut content I think Bungie cut a lot of good content out of destiny 2

It saddens me when they patch holes that aren't causing problems. Like, if it wrecks a raid encounter, sure, patch that. But if it just lets you look out of map inbetween areas, why? Lookin' at you, DSC team...

If this is going to be future content it better be in the actual final shape location and not content taking us back to old s*** that's one of the reasons why I'm against seasonal content. I feel like seasonal content should focus on the actual location of that particular expansion not go back to Old places this is supposed to be a sequel.
