Bungie teaches you a mechanic, then adds to it in a later area. Only one person, "the reader" is what I call them, can do this. It's the person with the debuff you pass back and forth. If you've been dying from the timer and not passing it while brute forcing it so far, this is your reality check that you need to kwtd. In my LFG post, I put "emote to shoot orb/pass debuff" for the first two missions, depending on the mechanic.
