Bungie made this activity painstakingly slow. Each kill is one point. You telling me I gotta kill 1k enemies per level?? Yellow bar and bosses should I be at least MORE than one point cuz wtf is that logic?

Did you not listen to the video? I said to do the random encounters that appear in the patrol area. Those give almost 500 progress towards the activity level. Kills, grabbing resources, and opening chests help, but it's super slow.

How to drop the sheild? You didn't explain !!

Each one has it's own mechanic to it. There is going to be an enemy or something else you need to kill in order to break it. The dread boss requires you to pick up the dark glyphs.

It’s such a simple mechanic for each one. Surely you could have tried to figure it out first as the puzzles are elementary school level.

the final boss chest can also give you the ergo sum. i got it some how from doing it

I just killed the chimera boss for the first but it didn’t drop the mote of light. Do we need to kill the bosses more than once for it to drop?

It's not guaranteed. There are a few other sources for the motes though.

Sorry. There is only 1 other source that I know of. It's the Traveler collectibles you can find.

For the bosses? They should be pretty straight forward. The mechanics for 2 of them are part of the encounters. There is usually a glowing enemy to take down that drops something special. The dread boss requires you to pick up all the dark glyphs that spawn.

Do we know how the bosses spawn in each area is it random each time you complete the activity, do they change on a daily reset or a weekly reset

Each boss for each version of Overthrow has a different mechanic for breaking the shield. Those mechanics are already present in Overthrow encounters and are pretty straight forward. The only one that I haven't seen in the encounters is the Dread boss at the Impasse, which requires you to pick up the dark fragments that spawn. I figured it would be pretty straight forward since there are a lot of different mechanics in the activity overall and they are all mostly easy to figure out.

Ahh, I am looking for demonstrates what those mechanics are and what is going on with the chests and pillars of light. I ran through each pillar I could find but I couldn't find anymore but my objective said I needed more.

I assume you are talking about the corrupted chests. Those have random tasks to complete in order to open them. They are unrelated to this activity. There are way too many mechanics for this activity to explain them all. There is nothing here that is too difficult to learn. You can use your ghost to see waypoints if you get stuck. You are just killing special enemies, breaking blight, picking up glyphs, etc.

Anybody else having issues spawning certain bosses? I can’t get the servitor to spawn in the blooming, and I’ve been at it for the last 2 days. Could just be really bad RNG, but I’m tired of seeing the ogre spawn

It might be something they disabled. I never saw that boss. They will probably patch it at some point.

Which boss? The one in the video? You need to find the glowing enemy and pick up the energy it dropped. It takes a bit to pick it up. Then go to the boss and enter the circle around it to drop the shield.

I think they are random. The only thing that rotates is the matchmaking spot.

how do you kill the monsters with the white shields?

Each one has a different mechanic. There is usually a glowing enemy to kill that drops something. It depends on the encounter. Check for a nearby waypoint with your ghost out. It might reveal where to go.

This is funny cause the video doesnt say how to drop the enemy shields, but then the comments mention that...and people responding STILL arent saying how to drop these freaking shields lol. What the hell is volatile fetor?? What do i do with this? Shield is not going away. Is the game just bugged??

I already said it multiple times that every encounter and every boss works differently. If I had to explain how it all works, the video would be 20 minutes long. These aren't raid mechanics. These are very easy if you pay attention. With the volatile fetor, go hug the shielded boss. It's not bugged.
