This has been some fun gaming that I have experienced in a looooooong time. I honestly would give it a 10. This expansion was a reminded why I absolutely loved Destiny 1. The full circle moments. My Ghost being emotional during the final moments before encountering The Witness. Absolute chef’s kiss.

That ending actually took me to tears. I just can’t believe they actually pulled off the send off. Such a beautiful moment that I will not forget. The game has had a lot of ups and downs but actually seeing it end after the most epic mission bungee has crafted for the franchise was so bittersweet. Wether we all stick or leave at least this endpoint was enough to be cherished for the rest of my life. Eyes up

This is easily the best cinematic story and dialogue Bungie has every written. It's beautiful, nostalgic and emotional. Almost all of the plot threads relating to the Light and Dark saga over the past decade got tied together. The gameplay loop is exceptional. The level design is masterfully crafted. The music and dialogue are always phenomenal. Zavala's original voice actor's passing is unfortunate and his replacement doesn't quite nail that unique vocal habits of Lance Reddick. I kora, on the other hand, shows that vulnerability around her friends but wisdom and resolve she's shown since Destiny 2 launce. If this isn't a 10/10, it's certainly close to it.

The story was good but thats it. The actual missions were mid and everything else is.. Nothing? Yeah Final Shape is just super patrol busy work. No actual activities unless you count overthrow which again is just super patrol. No dungeon to be seen tied to the actual DLC like Forsaken and Shadowkeep. We don't talk about the raid.. And yeah thats it. There's nothing going on. This isn't some random hate just to hate or opinion. I'm actually telling the truth. Its just patrol. The season or I guess Episode Echo seems to be pretty good though. Its like Splicer 2.0 and Splicer was my favorite. I love how the weapons look like VoG hybrids and they are strong too. Failsafe is AMAZING. All the character dialogue has been amazing. The activity is not too bad either and of course the bonus one is.. Hard af but still cool and rewarding. I think its bugged though. The timer bonuses don't work on the boss fight. Thanks for reading. Sorry for the final shape negativity.. Not too sorry though. After all the hype behind it, I was expecting to have something to do other than Patrol. I found Shadowkeep to be better if we are talking about non campaign stuff. I guess thats not fair though because well.. THERE'S STUFF THERE 😂

You’re forgetting prismatic aspects that are unlocked through exploration, the raid mechanics within the campaign that made it more than just “kill everything in a wave”, the cycst mini missions, and way more. Have you actually played the game, or are you just being a contrarian?

@@coolioschoolio4359 exploring is patrol ya goof. Cysts are also in patrol and would just classify them as harder lost sectors. Raid mechanics don't need to be in everything and I do lots of raids and played the game. Don't have to take my word for it if you catch my drift and its okay if you like the campaign. My main complaint is post campaign not having an actual activity you load in besides the strike, raid and weekly witness. Don't get me wrong I love the new location as much as the next guy but it's important to do things within said location that's not just patrol. They were hyping this DLC up so much acting like there was going to have some real content in it other than a glorified patrol zone. Xur, Hawthorn, and Rahool changes are cool Prismatic with everything unlocked is still just ok Final Shape didn't save Destiny. The people will realize that when they finally get bored of farming for that lame exotic special sword and the exotic class items. Luckily Failsafe is here now to save the day. God I love the seasonal stuff. Nessus having secrets is cool too. Best thing about it is that there's not only one activity but TWO! The weapons are awesome and not stupid looking like final shape weapons. Perhaps there is something else timegated in the pale heart that I don't know about and if so, let that prove me wrong. @@dacedave4161 I’m confused about what you wanted. The pale heart is a patrol zone and you…complain that it’s a patrol zone? Like I don’t exactly know what you were expecting from the destination, it’s got a lot going for it. It has the events, the lost sectors, and the other things I mentioned above (cysts, exotic quests, the perks, etc.) There is a lot to do. It baffles me how you think the current season (which is really no different than any other season) is great. I’m pretty sure you just didn’t like the aesthetic of the dlc.

@@coolioschoolio4359 No no. Its a great Patrol Zone. Probably the best patrol zone we have ever gotten since the dreadnought and dreaming city. Again my issue is that its the only thing to do final shape wise. Cysts are in patrol. Overthrow is super patrol. I was hoping for something like wellspring, a dungeon tied to the actual expansion and not another dungeon key, and idk a better mission than dual Destiny.. Ew Perhaps my expectations were too high but again they were hyping it up so much. Story good, patrol good, dual Destiny bad, and overthrow good but is only thing to do except for the worst raid ever Which btw finally got an LFG through the first couple encounters. Some sherpa guy was teaching multiple people but he was really toxic. People like him don't care about helping, just stupid emblems and raid report. Hope you have better luck in tbe raid and of course keep enjoying the game. Don't let my silly opinion stop you :)

@@dacedave4161 usually the new activities come from seasonal stuff. The dlc is usually everything else. And even then excision counts as an weekly activity. Idk, dual destiny was a pretty neat simple concept. I don’t see what’s the problem besides the fact that you need another person. But then again solo players have always had content locked out from them. In summary I guess it’s personal taste. Not so much that it’s objectively bad, just not what you were expecting.

They’ve confirmed nothing will ever be vaulted/sunset (removed) ever again. And have begun reimplementing content/gear/weapons/etc that was removed. The expansion is genuinely fantastic and imho worth every penny. Lightfall wasn’t great, but TFS is the course correction to end all course corrections, as is the direction they’re taking the game in now.

If you're not already compelled to experience the finale of the Light and Dark saga, I think it's best you don't buy it. Can't be disappointed if you don't try it in the first place. I've quit Destiny 2 before, was away for a whole year and then another 6 months. The breaks made me appreciate it more and coming back I noticed all the QoL changes all that much. But I came back because I missed it. If you don't miss it, I'd advise not to dive back in and fall back into the grind.

The final shape is amazing and a great ENDING for the 10-year ride. The whole point is to reach the end.. we faced and defeated our biggest enemy... that should be it. There's always going to be bad guys. Let destiny end here.. the more and more you continue this. The more boring and less exciting. I'm done with Destiny. It was a great game.
