Just a heads up to people, If you can land a Piece Of Mind Pulse Rifle that has Focused Fury and Overflow these 2 perks have an interesting interaction with one another.... When you activate Overflow Focused Fury doesn't take into account the fact that you just doubled your mag size, so what ends up happening is Focused Fury thinks you still only have a magazine size of 36 which means when overflow doubles your magazine Focused Fury will still activate its damage bonus after only 18 critical shots out of the 72 mag you just got from overflow, This perk combo makes it very easy to activate Focused Fury.... Personally i strongly believe the perk combo of Focused Fury and Overflow makes Piece Of Mind the best Pulse Rifle in the game.

Nomad you’re forgetting console and stability go hand in hand, getting perpetual motion and max stability + elemental capacitor allows you to run full auto or more ammo with backup mag

perpetual motion hardly gives you stability its 5 on the first stack then 10 on the next, heating up would be better for 6v6 but for 3v3 I guess perpetual motion would be ok if you're an aggressive player but if you sit back then I wouldn't use perpetual

I just finished crafting my God roll of this (the 5 resonant frames to unlock the pattern was absolutely brutal, but got there by pretty much playing nothing but the seasonal activity 😂 and making sure I could focus every umbral on the gun this week ) Then shuro chi to quickly-ish level it up to level 16 with tether Hunter and Orpheus rigs) so can craft the enhanced perks and saved all my materials for this gun! Absolutely love this archetype! The roll I went with is arrowhead brake/high cal rounds/heating up/moving target. After testing the random rolls I got along the way That roll is just perfect to me. Plus the enhanced perks just make it absolutely godly. Now I can enjoy my roll and play the rest of the expansion 😂

If you haven't already you need to try out Syncopation-53. It may be a adaptive frame pulse rifle but it has a few hidden quirks of its own. It will not disappoint you.

auto-loading holster on primaries is sometimes useful for soloing champions, when the gun is on the artifact that season. stun the champ, swap to heavy/special to burn it down, and if you need a second stun, the primary is ready for you when you swap back.

Your findings on Piece Of Mind are very similar to what I found, especially in control. I didnt get the same perk rolls you got, yet I found myself also dueling sniper & scout rifle users as well. And forcing them to flee half the time, effectively making them reconsider long-range tactics. I'm gonna do more testing with Piece Of Mind, but this could be great for Trials in maps with open ranges.

Piece of mind is pretty strong but heavy hitter pulses still dominate further ranges. My argument is that piece of mind with high cal rounds or the god roll with high cal rounds should dare to challenge every pulse rifle in mid range except vigilance wing users who know exactly what they’re doing because they will still almost always manage trading with you for their huge amount of raw damage. And obviously if you run into messenger, be careful, you do not want to get caught by one guy who is actually using a desperado messenger carefully who then goes all out and starts tearing everyone apart when they can quick flank and just ruin everyone on your team. Like yes piece of mind actually has the balls and strength to beat the shit out of messenger but it will never standup to desperado being procced unless you’re absolutely genius with your movement and can fully utilize high cal rounds and the fire rate from a wiser position as desperado runs out to clutch against that shit but I seriously doubt in many people ever pulling that off if they’re dealing with a messenger player who’s got one of those since they usually steam roll more than most in my experience. Not because the messenger alone is gamebreaking but because usually I get picked off by another teammate who’s a better shot than the messenger player that I certainly can’t outgun since apeing with desperado procced messenger is a viable tactic in the right hands. But trust me even so piece of mind is a clutch monster you just have to make sure you always understand what the enemy is using and beware smarter snipers, they’ll always win still

Time-worn spire is also no longer in the iron banner loot pool although the ranges it can hit are truly hilarious with a max range and zoom roll (49m). It’s biggest weakness though is it’s handling which this doesn’t suffer from particularly with arrowhead brake!

It’s biggest weakness is how much you have to spec into range to get there and it’s poor recoil and stability that can’t back up the range. I got a max range roll and though it’s good on people who aren’t challenging you, messenger users think it’s cute the second or third time you try flanking them or dueling them only to back up and then ruin you when they land one shot on your head since that’s the end of the duel for you right there once you start getting hit. This is the same reason why of every Legal Action II pulse rifle I have I prefer the highest stability roll I’ve got for when enemies are actually smart and will successfully challenge me. I know messenger won’t outdamage me if both people have been landing headshots and messenger doesn’t have desperado procced, and more than that it won’t outrange/outzoom me with my 70 range and 22 zoom that smacks messengers 18 zoom in long range duels. Keep in mind for Legal Action it needs that range and zoom to more easily land all 4 headshots to maximize its damage for the solid two tap, factor in that by just outplaying and challenging messenger players from far away I always beat them in widows court until someone whips out a sniper and then I can’t do it until I get some focus fire going with my team or they flank and distract them. But seriously though the spire sounds and feels nice up close but unfortunately is not as capable as piece of mind at long range after testing it a lot. The main reason is because it’s great until you start getting shot at, and let me tell you not having high cal rounds on the spire against a sniper fucking sucks when they’re sweaty because you’re fucking dead the moment they aim at you without using high cals on them. That’s the thing, piece of mind is a beast because it’s a pseudo clever dragon from D1, not actually clever dragon but a pseudo clever dragon that wants to be it so badly but will have to settle on being very solid in most mid ranges instead with better capability further off than most, it’s not a true sniper killer in stupid long ranges but I mean that’s okay considering it’s far range reach is enough to beat other primaries and fires quickly enough to tear most poorer players up without requiring your secondary if you can juke.

Great video, very informative. My main PvP weapon is a Gridskipper with Smallbore+High-cal+Moving Target+snapshot sight, I love rapid-fire pulses in PvP. Now I'm gonna farm this one to have a good rapid-fire kinetic pulse alternative, the roll I'll be hunting for for the Piece of Mind is Arrowhead brake+high-cal+perpetual motion+Moving target. @@TrustJerk PsiOps Battleground (The Helm) you open both chests at the end. Plus once you unlock the weapon codec thing from the War Table you can then focus your Umbral Engrams on the second page at the War Table. You need Risen Umbral Energy to focus them. However I wouldn’t do the specific Weapon Focusing as it won’t give you guaranteed Red Boarder weapons which is stupid as the focused Umbrals cost x9 Risen Umbral Energy. So instead I’ve been doing the normal 1 Risen + 1 Umbral gives you 1 weapon, & since we’re going for all the Red Boarder weapons you now get a good variety of them, I just happen to finish the Bow & Pulse Rifle first. Nearly got the Grenade Luncher & Machine Gun only need 1 of each left to collect.

The war table upgrade "Perk Requisition" allows you to get an extra perk on your first weekly focused decode. Just tried it on a Piece of Mind, and got both autoloading and heating up in the first slot. Not the perks I want, but now I can increase my chances of a god roll at the beginning of each week. It'll be interesting to see if that extra perk is always in the first slot, or if it rolls an extra perk in the 2nd slot as well.

i think focused fury will be good for trials for the same reason Hawkmoon is: it's a significant damage bonus that doesn't require a kill. you can put potshots into passive stag rift stacking teams from a distance, then when the buff is active you can move in and apply pressure. iirc it takes the same number of shots to activate no matter the magazine size so with overflow in sixes or with a mag perk and/or a backup mag in trials, you can proc the perk and still have a decent amount of shots left to work with

for pvp im looking to get arrowhead, ricochet (cause i still feel that i get sniped through flinch way to commonly), overflow cause reloading bad and elcap for a huge bonus no matter what im playing whether that be almost mac handling, stupidly high stability that removes the recoil, a 35% faster reload time or maxing out the recoil direction and boosting strafe speed. as an elite pvp gamer i dont need no pve roll but stats for all and vorpal sounds fun as long as stats is an actual strong bonus. ps great vid, loved watching the editing process on stream as well

@@raa9756 the whole crafting system is a fucking joke, most people realize it and most people complain about it and with good reason. it hasn't delivered on a single thing it promised, only introduced more gate keeping and artificial grind for little to no benefit. drop rates, resource caps, vault space, unlocking perks for single a weapon only, cost of swapping perks, raid weapons having their own set of resources... the list just goes on. "weapon crafting" might've looked good on paper, but the implementation of it is the worst it could possibly be

It’s a gruesome grind to unlock the pattern, I have already turned in numerous umbrals, focused about 6 PoM, and opened 50 runic chests. That has put me 4/5 patterns so far, I can feel the end of misery coming near to an end. I already have a god roll for pvp with over 500 kills on it! By far the best dueling pulse in the game, enhanced perks is going to make this pulse a monster!

So if you got the upgrade that let's you buy the weapons directly I'm 90% sure they drop with the red border everytime. A clanmate bought 3 bows and every one had the red border and I bought 2 auto rifles and both had red border as well. Either we both have crazy good luck or you're guaranteed a red border version. They do cost 9 runic insight (or whatever its called) so itll take like 5 runs just to get enough mats to buy 1. And you need to complete 5 to be able to craft.

I can’t tell you how super disappointed I was to find out that Adrenaline Junkie can roll in the fourth column but not Demolitionist in the third column, so I wasn’t too sure as to what I should get on a PVE Piece of Mind, but after seeing the video, it’s sort of a toss-up between Overflow + Focused Fury/Vorpal Weapon, so I’ll keep an eye out to see which combo feels best. I went with Arrowhead, Ricochet, Overflow and Adrenaline Junkie plus a CB mod on my crafted Piece of Mind. I know that the gun isn’t specifically meant for damage, with it having perks that specifically enhance the consistency and performance, but AJ is the only damage perk on the gun that’s remotely useful so that’s what I went with. it’s pretty great though, switching into 66 rounds in a magazine never gets old!

I may be a weirdo for this, but I love a pulse that can function well without a specific needed mod, especially a rapid fire one, so I can put full auto on it and just lay on that trigger. It’s why I love Jurassic Green so much too

For general pve, I want to craft a heating up adrenaline junkie roll, if I can get 2x heating up the recoil is nearly max and stability also, then I'm going to focus on getting my handling as high as possible with fluted and a handling masterwork, then in the barrel section it would have to be either ricochet or armor piercing, flared magwell could also be a good pick

I've spent my time doing almost nothing but the seasonal playlist just to get this gun. Now that I have it I find myself wanting to have multiple options ready to go. But the one that I crafted first was overflow and focused fury and I love it. Now I'm trying to get that sniper with overflow and firing line.

Don't forget about the syncopation, it's just overall a very very solid craftable 390. Bass comes with hip fire grip or moving Target and rangefinder just the base perks alone are insane it also has head seeker headstone and the benefits from any damage buff by a ton. Fantastic feeling gun worth a try

definitely very nasty with ZM/Frenzy for PvE, and in general it has great perks for both PvP and PvE. Also, kind of reminds me of Hawksaw in some way, maybe the sound or the fact it's the same archetype and the only Legendary Kinetic Suros Weapon (except maybe technically Nightshade type foundry weapons, not entirely sure if they're Suros)

Nice video. I’m fortunate enough (or spend way too much time in D2) to have god rolls of most of the 540 pulse’s. I’ve always loved pulses since the D1 Hawksaw, Grasp, Clever, PDX days!

It’s funny because I actually got the roll I wanted to craft perk for perk through an rng drip. This was nice because I don’t feel in a rush to get the red rolls, while simultaneously looking forward to ultimately having e advanced version. But at least I get to try 90% of the gun I wanted. Which was Chambered Comp, high cal, range mw, perpetual motion and adrenaline junkie. My my is it a banger of a primary. Highly recommend.

So after watching this, I went ahead and crafted my own after finding my PvE one. And I'm shocked by how right you were. My personal roll is Arrowhead Brake/Hi-Cal/Perpetual Motion/Enhanced Elemental Capacitor. I'm often running Void, which also gives +23 Stability. This thing is an absolute laser beam and you're absolutely right about this thing being a Messenger killer; I found myself ripping them in Trials this weekend. And this doesn't get into the amazing firing sound; it soulds awesome and feels powerful. Yet I feel the Darkest Before comparison. I felt like something was off with it. Now it makes more sense being described. And I just want to say, I really appreciate these kinds of videos.

Actually the one that you get by hitting level 45 on the season pass is an actual pretty good roll with Arrowhead break, Ricochet rounds, compulsive reloader (not an A perk but good eneough), Focused Fury and a Range MW. Pretty good if you ask me

I'm at 3/5 for the pattern. My crafted roll will be arrowhead, ricochet, enhanced heating up, and enhanced elemental capacitor. I have a roll currently that got 90 stability with elemental and it's an absolute lazer at any range.

For PvE I landed a stats-for-all / adrenalin junkie roll that absolutely SLAPS in ad rich environments. It helps make up for the abysmal reload speed and adrenalin junkie is just such a good perk. It fuels a pulse addict like myself.

Got a nearly perfect roll on my first and only drop. Arrowhead + Heating up + Moving Target. This thing basically tracks heads.

I've not played with this pulse enough to say what I'd like. But I'd like to just mention to anyone that doesn't know the artic haze auto rifle from Europa while being no fun to farm is also a 720 that can roll both killing wind and vorpal. I've had loads of fun shutting down roaming supers with it. It's not for everyone but it can be a solid auto rifle.

I just got one with Heating Up and Elemental Capacitor, Holy freaking hell it is a laser beam. If I get 2 kills with Heating Up x2 it’s over for anyone challenging me in the Mid to long ranges. Mine didn’t come with Arrowhead so I threw on a CB Stock to make the default Recoil Direction a 73. I combine this gun with my favorite PVP Warlock exotic, Ophidian Aspect, and the awesome Duality for excellent handling and shutdown ability. Definitely recommend this weapon to those who struggle with HC’s and landing their 3 taps.

quick thing on the topic of pulses, the Syncopation pulse from suros can roll moving target rangefinder and it's a ranged monster. shame it's in the 390rpm archetype.

If you're using Arrowhead Brake, I'd prefer Rico rounds instead of hi-cals (for stability), or elemental cap on void, if you really want hi cals
