“Do you believe in destiny?” “No, but-“ “But you dream about islands and you go to them.” i don’t know why that’s such a powerful line for me and i’m so happy you included it because it captures who Caduceus is at a base level: a believer. And a believer is exactly what the mighty nein needed when he came. Taliesin is just full of powerful quotes.

Sad Wizard Vibes was tragic and philosophical. Dicks 'n Donuts was bouncy, fun, occasionally introspective, and funky. Fathoms and Refjorged were dark, brooding, redemptive, and heroic. THIS album, right here, is simply gorgeous. Speaks of a wisdom most of us can only dream of. Well done, sir.

I woke up this morning after a dream where I was a groundskeeper at a graveyard, just walking around humming in the autumn breeze. I had been doing this for a while I think, mowing the grounds and such some days-but today I was setting out a flower on every grave that I grew in a garden. Anyway, waking up from that and then listening to this album for the first time all the way through with a cup of tea in my hands was soothing as hell and put me at peace.

First five seconds and I'm crying from the beauty of the music. Caduceus has been the member of the mighty nine I relate to fully. Being away from home and family and living next to a grave yard most of my life. And having clerical background and foregrounds. Thank you so much for the wonderful music. I'm gonna be listening to this when I go on my road trip in 2 weeks from now, when I head to my blooming grove(Home).

Track 1 -- No samples Track 2 -- (1st) Caduceus: Hunh. I think I've only got...three more cups, hold on. (2nd) Caduceus: Uh...Mr. Clay and uh...nah, I'm fine. (3rd) Caduceus: (sigh) ...that sounds great. (4th) Nila: I would love to try your tea! Caduceus: Please, let me know what you think. Nila: ...it is delicious! Caduceus: Only grows here. We've been tending this garden for generations. Beau: You're drinking dead people tea? Caduceus: Aren't we all? Beau/Caleb/Keg: That's a fair point/very true/(murmuring) Beau: But you're like, cultivating dead people for good tea? Caduceus: Aren't we all? (5th) Caduceus: (sigh) Please, let me know what I can do for you...I..usually when people come here it is because of some great tragedy; how may I aleve your pain? Caleb: Oh well, Herr Clay, we come to you with a great tragedy. Nott: We, we recently lost one of our friends and we are-- Caduceus: People who come here usually have. Nott: We, we aren't here to bury him; um he's already in the ground. But we've, we've come to avenge him and we're hoping to find some, some help (help help help) Track 3 -- (1st) Caduceus: Yeah, uh, this is, this is a place where we take the dearly departed people who have done well and people who have lived good lives and we put them into earth that has been touched by the Wildmother and in turn She grants them what beauty and splendor and sometimes tea. (2nd) Nott: Are you a bad guy? Caduceus: You know, honestly I don't think I've really had enough experience to have an opinion on that. I'm a good gardener. Nott: What do you grow other than dead tea? Caduceus: I grow lilies, I grow uh mushrooms, moss. Beau (in the background) Dead mushrooms. Dead moss. (3rd) Caduceus: Yeah. (4th) Keg: You don't leave here very much, do you? Caduceus: I...It's been a while, I wasn't uh...I've been on my on my own for a while, it makes you get a little bit..uh, rambly. (5th) Caduceus: Have you been in nature? Yes. Violence is extremely natural. (6th) Caduceus: Somewhere there's a plant that...needs some compost and I'm willing to make some, some more, if it'll make people happy.

Track 4 -- (1st) Caduceus: I'm ready to leave. I'm going to be, it's going to be a little uh a little much, but I think I can do it. I'm ready. (2nd) Caduceus: Everything's telling me that I should stick around and see where you're headed. I think that's where I'm supposed to be. Track 5 -- Caduceus: This is pretty good from a certain perspective. I mean, uh, you think about it uh, bad things happen to people every day and then you have a bunch of people who care about you so much that they come and save you, fix it, defeat a great evil. I mean, nothing this good ever happens. This is great! Track 6 -- (1st) Caduceus: I mean really? I mean, people aren't good. That's that's not how this works. (a little laugh) I mean, the things that you DO are good or bad, but people are just people. (2nd) Caduceus: People come and they talk. A lot. Fjord: When they're grievin'. Caduceus: Yeah. And you listen a lot. I don't know much, but I know people. And I know things that aren't people. There's a lot more apparently and uh... Fjord: You seem to pick up on the stuff that's not set. Caduceus: I mean, you have to. Track 7 -- (1st) Matt as DM: There, not yet removed from the cross, whether it be by luck or superstition, there is the white snow dappled multicolored coat of Mollymauk Tealeaf. (2nd) Caduceus: May I? (pause) Something will be here. Beau (tearfully): What did you just do? Caduceus: I made the earth remember him. (3rd) Caduceus: Something will be here. Track 8 -- Caduceus: It's more than a thank you. I feel that you have to be free. So that you can finally pay your debt. NPC Gustav: (uneasy laugh) I uh this is me paying my debt. Caduceus: No. This is you hiding from your debt. You're a man who uh is afraid of what you owe. I understand. That's, that's okay. This is not your debt; your debt lies elsewhere. I know these things. Track 9 -- (1st) Caduceus: I think perhaps it's destiny. Do you believe in destiny? Yasha: No. But-- Caduceus: But you dream about islands and you go to them. (2nd) Yasha: Well, they just come in my dreams as most of my visions have and (uneasy sigh) it's just... the way that I commune with the Stormlord. Caduceus: Hunh. I suppose that the Stormlord put you on this path and you're with us now because of some divine intervention. I think it's important to follow one's feelings on such things. I commend you.

Jester: I just really want to see them. Caduceus: You can talk to them. Jester: I really want to talk to them. Caduceus: I've talked to many bees in my time. Jester: Really? Caduceus: Yeah. Jester: You can teach me the language? Caduceus: I mean, I mean you just just...hey bees. (2nd) Jester (lowering voice): Hello bees. Please come over here and let me say hello! (3rd) Yasha (deadpan): Hello bees! Jester (delighted): Hello bees! Matt: (gentle laughter in background) Jester: (giggling) Yasha: You can talk to them? Jester: Yeah, say something! Caduceus: Uh...what do you want me to say to them, I don't know. Jester: Come tell them to come over here, but don't sting us. Caduceus: Hold on hold on, let me do a thing. Track 11 -- (1st) Caduceus: I think uh... I'm coming to the realization that uh perhaps I was not entirely clear of what I signed up for. But ...I don't think that means that it's the wrong path. I'm uh...I'm getting used to the idea that this is...it wouldn't be a test if it were easy. (2nd) Caleb: So...is it your intention to continue on with us? Caduceus: I...I joined your group of friends, I guess our group of friends now. Uh...as a testament of faith and it would be a...a disservice to that faith to turn around because it's hard. If it'd been easy and... (3rd) Caduceus: I suppose I wouldn't needed to..uh.. to be called to it. I, um...I've been thinking a lot about it, uh...Jester gave me a lot to think about, to be honest. Caleb: Well, you know that sometimes acts of good faith deserve to be rewarded when they can. Um, I wanted to give something to make your uh time with us a little bit easier, I suppose. Track 12 -- (1st) Caduceus: Mr. Caleb, I uh...do you believe in fate? Caleb: I would like to think not (not not not) (2nd) Caduceus: Uh...I think the world is shaping you into something important and I want to make sure you get to wherever you need to be. (short musical bridge) Caleb: That's a pretty big matzo ball. (3rd) Caduceus: Even when I'm not the best of people, I feel that you're still moving toward something that's good and worth while and I'm feeling the struggles in my way to bring us to where we need to be. (4th) Caleb: Welcome to the Nein. Caduceus: I'm honored.

Thank you so much for this. I've been going to therapy and doing far better now, but I couldn't have done it without your music. You made me feel less alone when I felt so powerless. I can never repay you for what you did. Thank you so very much.

Chilled vibes, a relaxed attitude, kindness with just the slightest hint of menace. That describes this album as much as it does Caduceus himself, I think. Loving it!

The first piano melody, the twiddle upwards, is the same sound as at the end of Jester's first album, the song that mourned Molly, I LOVE THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

This is incredible! I love how calming your CR collections always are, and how each on brings with it a spark of something interesting! Most Lofi can get kind of samey, but yours adds a ton of personal touches and variety. Some of your songs seem to be full of this natural, chaotic energy while others are just so... comfy! Thank you for sharing your art with the world!

Dead people has to be my favorite thus far, I'm loving the way you use the tapping of the spoon and the pouring of tea as acoustics, as a lover of tea myself, this is such a nice relaxing song, and the subtle static in the background of the whole thing is such a nice touch :)

Listening to the Tree of Lights is like taking a big breath in and letting everything troubling you drain away as you breathe out.

I've listened to this many times now, and nothing has given me a wave of calm quite like it. Its a perfect representation of the character, and an amazing collection of art beyond that as well.

There is such a feeling captured in this album, of constantly questioning and choosing faith and forward motion. Of nostalgia and resoluteness. Hello Bees never fails in making me smile. I am just barely starting CR, but I listen to this album constantly.

I love this Album cover! Getting Uncle Iroh vibes (wipes away a tear). Another masterful creation! Caduceus is the embodyment of Chill and you nailed it.

Ohhh I had been waiting for this album ever since Dead People Tea came out, I'm sad KZbin didn't notify me sooner and I only saw it three months after it's airing. Either way, it's so nice to finally have the full album. So calming.

First, it was Fathoms that I was listening to while writing my campaign, now it's this. You have some of the best lofi music I've heard on this site and the fact that you make lofi out of Critical Role is awesome. Keep up the amazing work, I'm excited for whatever you're putting out next!

Goddamn, listening to this just made me want to make a cup of tea and go sit out in the woods next to my house, and just listen to the sounds of the forest. The chirping birds, the crunch of leaves as animals walk by, the whisper of the wind through the treetops, and the coolness of that same breeze caressing my face. It was beautiful.

This is amazingly beautiful! I'm barely a quarter of the way through C2, haven't yet met this fantastic character, but this mix is making me look forward to him even more!

update. I've met Caduceus and this mix is *too* perfect. all the tea noises, clanking of spoons in the mix, very meditative and gentle, just like the character himself. really helping me get through some tough shit i'm going through.

Just want you to know I love your mixes and the amount of work you put into them. I struggle to focus on my work, CR is what I play in the background a lot of the time (it’s like a comfort show for me), but for obvious reasons it can be distracting. Your mixes hit that perfect spot of my desire to listen to CR and these characters but also amazing focus music. I really appreciate these mixes a lot, thank you!!!

There are few times you get to see a music creator evolve over time to become better and better. Each album and music piece you put out somehow gets better and better. It's been a joy to watch and listen from afar. Great album, as always!
