I would say it's more challenging than any other challenge that's been put into the game for sure, but a solid group shouldn't really have too many issues. However, they're not really challenges that any group that's thrown together can do easily unless they're all pretty experienced and have good comms.

Datto, What we did is the relic holder went to the left side like you showed and just blocked and after blocking went behind the left pillar at the front (like you showed) and damaged the Templar. From there they can run up and blocked teleports and damage templar. No bubble is ever needed with that strait for that side and ads never come to the front pillar so they are always safe. On the other side we had two purly on DPS and bubble duty (at least one titan, 2 preferably) and to block him teleporting on that side. Only those 2 and the relic holder did dps on the boss for the most part. All the ads will then rush the right side so the other 3 were in charge of ad control and generating orbs for the bubbles. Make it so much easier for everyone involved and he goes down super fast like you said. Just makes the whole encounter so much simpler as people don't need to worry about more than one job.

Sleeper is a godsend for this fight, 1 shot for oracles, then unload the rest on atheon. Did it this morning and 4/6 people in the group had sleeper. Melted him in 1 go due to weapons of light and tether, soooo good.

For Templar, we tried the usual way, and it proved to be far more difficult than expected. So, we decided to use an older strat. We eliminated all the oracles and then when relic holder dropped his shield, we had 5 players go right to stop that teleport and do damage, then the relic holder just stayed left on the back stair side where you first jump down and only hop up to cancel the teleport, then hide and use the relic super when available while the other 5 did damage to the boss. Only took about 2 tries with that method as opposed to 32 tries the regular way

As of right now, your game might crash when you use Knuckles on Templar and you kill the boss. I believe you still get loot, that SHOULDN'T be affected, but it's just annoying is all.

From the looks of things, the Atheon challenge has difficulties similar to that of the Aksis challenge. But with Atheon you just need to keep track of who has killed an oracle and with Aksis you need to keep track of who is empowered and also be able to keep track of which platform lights up. I'll try this sometime this week if possible but just at a glance I'd say that Aksis may be just a little more difficult on the difficulty as far as communication goes.

Hey Datto my team a much safer way to do the fight but it takes longer. Everyone goes to the side with the most cover and the relic holder runs from each teleport spot. 1 or 2 people will have swords dealing with the ads if they get out of hand. The great thing about this strat is that you almost never have to stop to get on plate. With this strat it made the fight much easier and more safe for the rest of the team.

You can solo block the left teleport with the relic by counting to 5 before stepping into the spot and waiting for atheon to start shooting at you before blocking.

From my experience on many LFG teams, the Templar challenge is the most difficult to complete. Failure most often comes from being overwhelmed by Minotaurs and Harpies, which distracts from DPS on Templar and drags the fight on even longer. As for the Atheon challenge, I found it easier (and faster) to complete than the Templar challenge. The Aksis challenge on WotM is by far much more difficult and will remain the toughest one IMO (unless changes are made to it or King's Fall).

I've been in LFG teams spend hours on Templar challenge alone, whereas the longest Atheon challenge attempt took less than an hour. I've attempted organizing the LFG teams I join myself and I have found that Atheon is far easier due to comparatively reduced firepower being thrown at you. That, plus it takes far less time to actually down the boss, thanks to Time's Vengeance. If the Atheon challenge removed the center platform and required another team to go into the 2nd portal to retrieve another Aegis, it would be a much greater challenge. Maybe even tougher than Aksis challenge.

I recently found a group that finished Templar after only 2 teleport blocks by having relic holder block both teleports and all other 5 DPS from middle. It was surprisingly fast & easy. Guess that makes it easiest now.

Pretty sure they were talking about the Atheon fight. Both sides are on the plates the entire time from the beginning so as to build the portal faster because there will almost certainly be one person left on the appropriate side to open the portal up after he teleports you to past or future.

Atheon challenge is actually really easy and it's probably more fun than just doing it the normal way. My group has only had trouble if everyone from one side is teleported. It's like a 5% chance but it happens a lot.

I would have liked if you put more info and more emphasis on the best guns to kill the oracles with. My group had no trouble damaging atheon but struggled to kill oracles fast enough. what guns to use if you don't have a vog gun? I think high impact long range fusions work the best but there are people who just use vendor primaries which does not work.

Ken Taylor high impact sniper or sleeper works pretty well. Fusions might be ok, I might try one on my next run. Sleeper can be dangerous at times, had a couple misadventures using it when I did not have ammo for my sniper. Snipers with Mulligan are nice because shooting Oracles counts as a miss so you might get your ammo back.

you're doing it wrong. celestial plus over the horizon and the damage increase perk for golden gun one shots the Oversoul every time.

It uses a bit of your Super, but it mainly relies on your grenade charge.
