i stupidly left out energy SMGs in the middle, so here's a text breakdown for PvE: arc smg was split between ikelos (season of the seraph) and subjunctive (season of the wish) basically dead even, with noxious vetiver coming in 3rd (from episode 2). solar SMG is still dominated by calus mini-tool, but we haven't had a ton of development there, so that makes sense. parabellum (world drop) came in 2nd. void SMG went to the recluse (into the light) because it's really all we've gotten that's been a contender since funnelweb, which is still considered the 2nd best anyway because of subsistence/frenzy, which recluse can also get, but with other stuff available too.

Disagree with the arc smg list. Noxious Vetiver just feels so much better than Ikelos and Subjunctive with jolting feedback. Plus the origin trait gives you free ammo and does aoe which is in essence a third whole perk at that point.

If you're into crafting, definitely try to get the pattern for Aberrant Action. It's an absolutely fantastic weapon and you can still get it right now from Episode 1 (Echoes) activities as well as focusing with Failsafe from the HELM. And those options should be available until the next major expansion drops later this year.

I'll shout it every chance I get, but TImeworn Wayfarer is one of my all time favourite weapons. Shoot To Loot can trigger from an ignite or the intrinsic radiolaria pool it drops, and then incandescent for a little add cleary goodness. Gotta crank reload speed because it's abyssmal, but it's saved by the fact that it naturally reloads two shots per reload (4 if you choose the double reload thing). Just a fun ass little yeehaw future cowboy gun.

Sojourner’s Tale is a solar pinpoint slug Shotgun that can also roll with discord and harmony. It absolutely slaps. If you haven’t tried this roll out it’s very easy to craft the tonics and farm for it, I highly recommend.

22:23 Undercurrent with voltshot should have been there. With chain reactions nerf, it's now actually worth using, though requiring a kill first to proc kinda hurts it compared to chain reaction. But once it gets going, it's, imo, better at clearing ads than Forebarence, and MUCH better at damaging yellow bars. So while I'd still put Forebarence at the top, Undercurrent deserves a shout-out as well here. Oh, and Undercurrent with Voltshot can deal with Overloads, so there's that as well.

Also just some sword tips because i love swords : in a fire team the wave frame swords are really bad because only one of the wave will register and a good ergo sum goes a long way!(it's basically a legendary it has rolls) (Also Glacioclasm is in the kinetic part but it's a void weapon)

I haven't touched D2 since last summer but I am a Glaive Stan, and will defend them, especially for end game. I cannot speak to the new Glaive but Nezerec's Whisper is the best and here is why I think it's the best glaive overall. This will be focusing on End Game PVE only. Pros and cons to glaives The shield is the pro and most important part of using a glaive. In normal content you can get away with stabbing away but in Grand Master Nightfalls or day one raids you use a glaive for it’s shield for survival. Speaking of shields, adaptive frame glaives get the most shield duration which is what bumps ALL adaptive (Nezerec’s whisper, enigma, etc) up a notch from aggressive and rapid frames. Another pro is mag size, Nezerec’s Whisper is the only adaptive that has 5 rounds while other adaptive have 4, and with backup mag you get 6 vs 5. Reloading is the con of glaives. Anything outside of getting max shield duration should be focusing on perks to help reloading. Demolitionist is one of our answers to this con. While an amazing perk for grenade energy, the main reason we want demo is to NOT reload the glaive. With enhanced demo you can get into a cycle where you don't ever have to reload. 5 kills essentially gets your grenade back so throw grenade for free reload and blast away weaker ads to get grenade back, and repeat that cycle. After Demo the next best perk we want is Frenzy. It is an S tier pick for a damage boost but again we want Frenzy mainly for the reload boost. In end game content you won’t always get the kills needed to fully replenish your grenade energy for that demo reload, and Frenzy is going to come in clutch. l will always use frenzy when you can on a glaive as it’s just a free boost to stats and damage, both are amazing in end game content. What do I craft? Auxiliary Reserves for +15 Shield Duration and -10 reload. (worth it for max shield duration, this is the most important stat) Light mag for Extra reload speed(to also help offset the -10 from Auxiliary reserves) and range, but swap mag and accurized have a place as well Enhanced Demo Enhanced Frenzy Masterwork: Shield Duration Mod: Backup Mag That is my useless book about glaives, enjoy lol Edit* typo

As a Shadebinder turret main, I use glaives because they're the best 20% demolitionist weapons. The shield is an after thought, they're just woke slugs for my use case. Huge fan of the raid glaive bc it has demo and volatile (volatile makes more sense when getting single kills rather than spamming a group but we're not ready for the volatile is actually a good perk discussion yet)

Not sure if you are going to read this as i am a little late, but i think the format on these videos could be a little better. Separating the weapons into kinetic/solar/void/arc/strand/stasis is not very useful, there are not many moments where i wonder "i wish i had a void hand cannon now" versus "i wish i had a good hand cannon now". Talking about each weapon type as a whole and citing best options for each slot seems to me to be more useful, but i guess thats just preference

Love the series, but a suggestion from a colourblind player if you are to do another next act: Can the keys on your graph be sorted by %? Some of the colours can be hard to match to the legend, but are easy to differentiate on the pie chart from one another, so it would make it a lot easier to view

If you ask me, it doesn't really help if you give me 4 "good energy SMGs" if out of those four, there are some clear better-and-worse choices. Would love to see a mid-summer event for Event weapons. Couldn't really farm the Dawning weapons this year and would love another opportunity to get a Reconstruction + Bait and Switch Crowing Duologue. A few more Arcane Embrace rolls couldn't hurt either. I got both Rewind/Subsistence + Tremors BrayTech Werewolf but those would be great for other people to get too. It's the less awesome sounding but identical stats Breakneck and you don't have to do Gambit.

34:15 slammer with eager/cold steel has completely replaced my other half. Cold steel does decent damage with all the shatters while also being able to stun both overloads and unstops with a single click. It slows with a single light attack which stuns overloads and because it's a vortex frame the heavy attack hits enough times to freeze in 1 heavy attack for unstops. So it's imo the most versitile sword in the game, the ONLY time I ever use something else is on the first Salvation's Edge boss where I swap to Summum Bonum if I'm the only one using it(highest dps of a legendary sword but doesn't play well with 2 or more for some reason) or Guillotine with double damage perks if someone else is on the Summun.

16:14 prosecutor has voltshot rewind or voltshot dragonfly and has been out for a while now, though I'm not sure if it was around with your last video. Voltshot is MUCH MUCH better for lower end content, including things like normal raid and dungeons because things die b4 jolting feedback can proc, whereas the later is better for things like gms and master raid/dungeons. And voltshot also works in gms/master content as well so I feel therefore it's the much more versatile option overall. Plus you can proc it on an ad to immediately apply it to a boss unlike jolting which takes a min to proc therefore lowering your dps. Voltshot was used on solo raid clears because of it's ability to kind of pre proc it for instant application to a boss. Therefore, those clears wouldn't have been possible with jolting feedback instead.

Randy's throwing knife is much better for shredding barrier shields than hung jury with gunshot straight/kinetic tremors. Thr Hung Jury OFA/KT roll gives a 35% buff for hitting 3 ads, whereas Gutshot gives a 30% buff to body shots and the kinetic tremor.....uhh.....tremors, count as body shots so they will ALWAYS be buffed by 30% no matter what. Also shots to barrier shields count as body shots also, therefore you get 30% extra damage to those as well, and you add in shield piercing rounds that's even more damage to them. Then because it shoots faster it just absolutely obliterates them. In a gm they break in like 3 shots which is extremely fast with it's rof.

as a filthy casual who has loved glaives since they were put out and as has one on since then i have to shout some love for them, i love the dexterity to them for the things i do with them, yeah ive never raided and mostly play solo and don't do much hard stuff but the things i do do with them is just fun and badass, some points are im a big melee guy at heart, was in love with swords when they came out, didn't use anything else but obviously range was an issue and taking up the heavy slot was a problem, of course you got your melee button but too close no damage its not proper melee as we all know, its just a boop out my way thing that already dead, so when glaives were announced i even remember thinking watching the which queen trailer, its first person and fires a shot? sign me up, then got my hands on it and omg i was in love, actual decent damage destroying mobs then bam shooting at stuff and getting the same sort of feel as using a shotgun when its close range, thats the weapon for me and though i am crafting andy i gotta give my judement of kellgeroth its due, i did a run of the deep dungeon, i forget its name, first time and when its the bit where you gotta light the 3 statues to get to dps i was just running through fools glaiving them in the face and thanks to i assume my recuperation mod i was mkaing orbs per kill and getting heath back faster then i was taking it as long as i kept on swinging and it was soo much fun and then you blast a groung with incandesent and then stab themm and they explode then there mates explode, its just a ton of fun and i recommend a glaive to anyone

Just goes to show, voting doesn’t always give good results. Gotta separate the PvE from PvP ranking. It’s fair to mention you’re primarily a PvE player like myself, but I laughed out loud when I saw Prophet of Doom or any precision frame shotgun ranked well. Voting based on feel can be easily swayed by ease in which weapons can be acquired, as evidenced by results with Prophet of Doom. Dead Weight from gambit is objectively a better arc shotgun in a better frame, but acquiring a one-two punch roll is admittedly more difficult with grinding gambit and focusing engrams. Just one example. Aegis’ spreadsheets have empirical data with extensive testing. Much more objective than results from this video.

Fantastic video as always, only thing I thing is egregiously wrong is the strand shotguns. I actually think Swordbreaker is the WORST of the 3 strand shotguns and probably only won beause it provided easy acess to 12 punch before Perfect Paradox came out.

Why is scatter signal ranked higher than nox? For boss dmg, isn’t nox better? If we’re talking for majors and whatnot then I guess scatter signal is best

Rapid fusions have best dps of the fusion archetypes and overflow is easier to use. High-impacts like Nox have about 10% worse dps, but very deep reserves (about 40% more total dmg). Though you typically aren't dumping all of your heavy and special in a dps phase, so scatter is generally preferred.

Why is speleologist so low on solar machine guns? It has sideways and killing tally, that means you can keep up killing tally up forever almost like commemoration. Yes it is a rapid fire, but no other solar machine guns can do that.

Subsistence/killing tally on Unwavering duty is just better and on a better frame. Rapid fires mgs feel like poop to use for ad clear.

Unpopular opinion: My favorite solar MG is Thermal Erosion. In the right build it cooks. I used it in the Encore timed mission and it chewed through the boss every time.

I think you or the community missed a good choice for void snipers (didnt see it on the wheel) Frozen Orbit. Solid perks for both pve and pvp, easy aquiring (pvp fokussing) Not top of the line, but in my opinion top 3 void sniper

as a sword aficionado, EE is slightly overrated, pretty much only useful for movement, replacing great ammo econ perks. As for the class swords, theyre almost always available, with Banshee and Xur both selling them regularly

Nah Sightline Survey is the best arc hc hands down people capping Some others notes for me at least; - Shayuras Wrath deserves a mention (noting Datto addressed energy slot smgs in the pinned comment as it was missing from the video) for pvp prowess. - I think Horrors Least was undervoted because its a strong pvp pick imo for weapon handling.
