I think Destiny just wants to be right especially if there is an angle to being right and controversial at the same time. In terms on what he believes I think he just let his power corrupt him. I recall him saying just because priest plays with little children doesn’t make them (if man to boy) homosexual or pedos, it usually means their power/influence over others corrupted them to venture those actions. I think a similar thing is happening here hence his contradictive behaviour vs what he says.

Ehhh Bojack Horseman uses drugs, sex, and alcohol to cope with a childhood of physical and emotional abuse due to his parents. Destiny wasnt abused as a child as far as I know and his parents love him. Bojack Horseman is the way he is because of he chooses not to get help with his mental health struggles and uses self destructive coping methods instead. Destiny is the way he is because he legitimately doesn't care about anybody else but himself. His abuse towards his ex wife Melina and lack of spending time with his own kid is indicative of that but thats just the tip of the iceberg.

As someone with ADHD, I understand Destiny to a point saying that his perspective on certain things changed once he was medicated. I too realized I had a lot of unhealthy behaviors related to impulse control, though my decisions primarily hurt me financially and didn't hurt others. Being on medication does bring a lot of things to light and make you realize a lot of unhealthy people and patterns you've prolonged and it takes a lot of work to clean up your own mess. I'm still doing it. And I didn't REALIZE it was a problem until my disorder was medicated and I could think more rationally. Some of my risky behaviors involved sex, but again was only a risk to myself and not the other person. I never took risks on others behalves, and that's the behavior that we are talking about here. Perhaps if Destiny said that being medicated made him realize he was harming others, that would be one thing. Because it wasn't just his disorder, but numerous decisions he made fully aware of their possible outcomes. We know he was aware because he was able to litigate and verbalize it so skillfully when it involved other people. His personality is selfish, is risk-taking, is nonchalant...that has nothing to do with ADHD. And what if he changes medication or runs out? Is he then free to misbehave because he can point back to ADHD? There's no genuine acceptance of his ACTIONS and CHOICES being a problem in addition to the disorder that encouraged the behavior. Unmedicated people with ADHD are all over the place they don't all make THESE choices. Mental illness is not your fault, but it's your responsibility. I was addicted to unhealthy behaviors because they served my need for dopamine and now I have the ABILITY to rationalize other options. An option I NEVER considered was harming others.
@aaronyayger23 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I completely get what he's trying to say but he's still not taking ownership fully of his actions in a way that feels remorseful. I have ADHD, too so I can understand making many poor decisions in searches of quick dopamine rushes, but yeah. I want so badly for Destiny to just clean this shit up and become what online political discourse needs but he seems unwilling to change fully.

It's not entirely true. Destinies outlook on life comes to question. I never had an issue with his lifestyle, so long as it was always with consenting adults. And in terms of living in a different state than his kid, we really don't know how often he visits, or air planes his kid over to Miami to spend time. The issue is that he did brake the rules of consent, its not assault, but sending someone else's nudes to others without their permission is a vile thing to do, a betrayal of trust, and incredibly disrespectful.
@AliceBowie23 сағат бұрын
Recording people without their consent and then sharing the videos is on the same level as someone implying that they do give someone a job if they sleep with them. It's not using force to get what he wants, but it's like scamming someone into doing something they wouldn't do if he was truthful. It's still pretty bad. He just never gave them a choice because he probably knew they wouldn't be okay with it. I just keep thinking about Dennis doing the same thing on IASIP.

It made me MORE creative, MORE communicative. I can honestly say it helped me become a better version of myself after years of suffering. I would hate for someone to live in the same state I did because they are hearing incorrect generalizations like that, which contribute to the culture and stigma around ADHD and medication that ladders all the way up to RFK saying the bs he says about it.
@Mort4zoКүн бұрын
I think the thing you (and maybe Aba) were trying to vocalize was the dichotomy between short-term and long-term gratification. Destiny's entire personal life revolves around short -term pleasure. From the polyamory, manipulation of women, gooning, drug use, even him not buying a house and only renting. Monogamous and trust-based relationships, among other things, often based on sacrificing short term pleasure for long term pleasure. The brains of younger people are physiologically less able to do this, but generally as people get older, they understand the need to do this more. In many ways, Destiny's brain seems less developed. It's possible that Destiny attributes the vyvanse to him gooning less, because it dulls the constant desire for short-term gratification and makes it easier to peruse more stable, long-term actions, but who knows. It's really bizarre, because from a business perspective, Destiny is actually very good at thinking long-term, especially compared to peers like Vaush and Hasan. It's actually kind of pathetic how lacking in self awareness he is that he can't apply his (good) business mindset to his dysfunctional personal life, even with people like Aba (and others) constantly telling him he needs to. Destiny's pursuit of short-term pleasure at any cost will always lead him to be lonely and unfulfilled by the end. Maybe he'll see that now that his terrible actions have also destroyed his business ambitions. Also what he did was so morally fucked, even he can't defend it.

Sounds like some people still want to have a chaotic hedonistic sex life and think that it won't eventually lead to consequences. When you constantly don't have to worry about money, are always trying to get laid, are consistently doing drugs/alc, frequently hang out with people you know are garbage, and wake up and do the same high risk things every single day it effects your mind and decision making. There is no way around it. Living a chaotic life breeds chaotic decision making. He refused to address it when he knew it was a problem and his lust for more and more made him willing to do increasingly more degenerate things to get a fix. That's what happens.

Yeah I’ve been a Destiny fan for years and this sucks. He’s never taken serious accountability for any of his actions in the past, he usually just pushes the blame onto others. I first started noticing this pattern during his “lefty arc” when he was fighting multiple other lefty communities. Whenever he got criticism, he pushed it onto someone else. I accepted it because I didn’t like any of the people he was fighting with. But I always thought it was a major character flaw. Then once I found out he had an affair with a right wing nut Lauren Southern, but lied about it for years now I lost so much respect for him. Also the Mr Girl debate where he refused to call Fuentes a Nazi. He also refused to condemn Mr Girl until the very end and then called him a rapist. Yeah, it’s a pattern of bad behavior and no accountability. I have a huge issue with him not making a serious public apology for the recent events. I understand there’s a court case but he could still broadly apologize. He also made some really immature quips about Lonerbox (because he finally publicly condemned Destiny) and I’m really over that behavior. He’s a grown man and he needs some form of punishment. It’s also important that serious actors call him out like Aba, Papa, Lonerbox etc. and his community (a lot of them have) and not just idiot conservatives who don’t care about what he did, they just want the liberal guy cancelled. P.S. Just to make it clear: I don’t care what people do in their private life if they keep it private. But once it’s public, you can’t expect people to not judge your behavior and character.

Once I started taking medication my food addiction ended and within a year I actually looked like an athlete. Just for your information. I mean I agree that destiny is a bad person interpersonally but I feel like he does still care about politics. Does it make his redpill arc fall flat? Sure. But I think if he was just saying what he felt like he needed to say to make money he would definitely be a conservative grifter. Lol

Destiny did something fuckin disgusting, but the ease in which ppl view it through the most uncharitable lens possible is just sooo dishonest. Not to mention the blatant mind-reading & endless assumptions. Jfc. "He doesn't care about anyone but himself." You don't even know this dude, yet are sooo self-confident of your perception of his psyche of all things.. seriously? Lame.

"like sneeko" sneeko actively went to the podcasts and started breaking redpill points and showing how pathetic they are and overtime he started changing his friendgroup and advocating for better things and agree with him or not the things he follows is clearly out of human want of good no matter if u see it as right or wrong, he's not maliciously trying to argue for the sake of just winning an argument but actually has moral grounds. they like to say sneeko is a pdf or defends pdfs because he argues the age of consent, when what he is really arguing is the mechanism of deciding when people mature and that it's not an arbitrary number but rather physical and mental markers that needs to be reached which I think we can all agree to that. he even argues that 18 yo these days are immature if anything. ever since sneeko "found Allah" as aba put it he still got into relationships even relationship drama non of which comes CLOSE to epstiny it was ur usual influencer relationship drama, there are no multiple women much less barely legal girls coming out about him doing nasty shit as epstiny did. I'm saying all of this because aba is trying absolve himself from befriending a shitty person who was out and about shitty not really hiding it

I love papa gut but can someone explain to me why if a famous musician gets outted for shit, that music still gets crazy amounts of plays but if a KZbinr is found to be shitty we all have to admonish him/her? Can someone tell me the difference here? Cuz I am not seeing it.

Just like all the ppl who voted for trump even tho they knew his propensity for sexual misconduct and voted for him anyway. Destiny's way cleaner than trump, but blindly backing him when he pulls this shi is wild

Not to excuse anything Destiny did, but you are extremely charitable to Melina just because of the age gap. She is kind of a piece of trash too and think your marriage being successful helps you ignores how relationships don't always end up happy with "just gettting married". Destiny's lifestyle aside as his open relationship sex pest way of going about things is shit.
@franklingoodwinКүн бұрын
Just called her a piece of trash without giving a single example of why she is trash. And you are excusing Destiny. You're not fooling anyone that you aren't in his dgg cult lol.
@AliceBowie23 сағат бұрын
But it turns out that we don't really have all the information on what actually went down, because Destiny used the threat of sharing things he had on Melina that she didn't want getting out if she made him look bad.

@yourgrammarisnotverygood1827Күн бұрын
Yeah, he's a white guy. He's not supporting minorities and women for his benefit he's doing it because it's the right thing to do.

The only thing Destiny values is capitalism. He's all about the money and nothing else really matters to him.
@lholliday19822 сағат бұрын
@franklingoodwin i think if this was true he wouldn't have done the Israel trip or spent his own money on canvassing. I think he cares about his ego of being a big politics man as well as the money.
@franklingoodwin21 сағат бұрын
@lholliday198 but that all builds his brand. That means he gets more money down the line. It's an ends to a means, not the goal. Also, whether he likes to admit or not his canvassing makes no difference to people that don't already like him. Everyone else was probably like "who's this blue haired goblin?" lol
@lholliday19821 сағат бұрын
@franklingoodwin that sorta makes sense with the canvassing but I don't think the israel trip built his brand, especially considering that he still hasn't released the tapes from the trip.
