@@HGWeegee eruption has a 8 minute timer vs rifts like 12, and rift almost ALWAYS ends via timer unless it's a complete blowout. Eruption normally ends in like 5 minutes, with close scores and a good match. Unless it's on disjunction, in which case no one has any fun because that map is simply bad.

As someone who's definitely more casual in PvP I found it really hilarious how a bunch of the more PvP-inclined content creators I follow were dumping on this mode super hard, meanwhile I knocked out my entire title's worth of triumphs & resets in one week in freelance after not touching IB at all last season after like 2 games of Rift. Different strokes indeed. Also big ups to Danielle, hope she's feeling better. I'm just getting over a bug that made me lose my voice and it *suuuucked.*

Eruption was the most fun I've had in Iron Banner, or maybe even crucible, in years. The fact that the gametype itself balances against sweaty players, or players than sit in the back of a map all game, is amazing. That said, all my experience was from solo queue, where almost every game was super close and well matched. Looks like the group queue experience is... different.

Eruption is the first time I really enjoyed pvp, tbh. I used Transversive Steps instead of my usual Ophidian Aspect loadout and really popped off. No Time To Explain, Xenoclast and MG was my loadout. Snailburt?/10, would play again! (If it came around more than twice a season)
