I really want them to revamp the PQs to be viable in some form. My wishlist for years has always been for things like KPQ / LPQ / OPQ / etc. to be retrofitted for current-year. With how fast you rush to level 200 (and to 260) though, it'd have to take some serious rewards to make people interested in gathering together to do these. Something like making them faster than 3x XP off-event grinding (until 260) and revamping the PQ Item set effect for something like item / meso drop and having purchasable PQ equip variants at level 160 of everything using PQ coins. Also release the Erel Light class for regular Maplestory already.

the thing is there's no off-event and even off-event have afk event that give xp

@@ucngominh3621 The benefit would be not needing to actually focus on efficient grinding nor needing much investment for mules or new characters to level quickly. Also AFK events give good EXP but only after a long time, so they don't really replace anything since most only do them when they're unavailable to play.

After the nerfs to team buffs and the reduction in party size for boss fights, I have little faith that team play will be encouraged. Maplestory is clearly transitioning to a soloplay more than ever.

That’s so funny cause the other day I thought how burning a character used to be 2 levels and now it’s gonna be 5. Wouldn’t be surprised if by the next decade it’s gonna be 10 per xd

They need to get more people to level 275+ and further, to expand level cap and add more content. A new player, not used to the grind, gets fed up after hyperburning to 260 and then getting the slow wall of 260+ leveling. if they do 1-260 in 2 weeks, they can spend the rest of the summer/winter update leveling with event buffs and stuff and that helps with retaining players. At least that's my analysis...

As a person who stills comes back to this game casually since its creation idm the level 5 over 3. It does honestly still feel slow to those of us who aren’t able to doing all our daily’s or weekly’s every time.

Sounds like new players don’t enjoy the level grind of maplestory. I don’t see why maplestory still has this, there are plenty of successful mmo’s that let you hit max level in a reasonable timeframe.

Game is now on grandis+, draggin arcane river content doesnt make sense at all, 5 lvls is great, if they made it 7, even better.

ive been saying it needs a big bang for years now. redistribute the content, or completely change the leveling scale, squeeze the 300 back into 200 or less and scale appropiately. Obviously easier said than done but having so much dead content pre 200 is ridiculous

Gonna be real, my biggest reason for not playing Maplestory much anymore is the requirement to level up a million alts to give your main buffs. Easily the worst part about Maplestory, so I hate to see them doubling down on it. I don't care if they give us burning events, the whole system feels bad. Just give us stronger gear as we level up instead.

Same, I can't force myself to level 12 other classes to level 200, 210? for a buff, before i can even contemplate making my main, that whole process is asinine.

Admittedly, it does suck for people who don't care at all to level an alt. You don't technically have to do legion and link. Could even just settle for level 100 for the 0-100 event. Takes about 20 minutes--basically a daily. I went from 10 - 212 yesterday in 35 minutes. So there's hope if you want it. If not, I get it.

They think it's fine to farm for the Arcane items for a half year if you're running Normal. Clearly that's a reasonable expectation of the players.

Bro I would love if ELuwill gave even 1 droplet, cause rn you have to push to NLuwill if you want more than just meso, kinda sucks. Then maybe if you have some ELuwill characters you could at least start getting your first arcanes.

@@niersu 1. Add droplets to Easy. 2. Increase droplet drop count on Normal. 3. Decrease cost of the droplets you buy to get coins. Those are reasonable changes in my opinion. Then again, I also think they could halve the exp requirements to level up from 260-300 and nobody would cry over it.

With all the exp coupon and hyper burning 1+2 effect, I can manage to hyper burn a character from lvl 11-260 within just 3 weeks.. now 1+4, I can’t even imagine that now, but weird thing is maplesea seems like still going with the 1+2 burning instead of 1+3

If you enjoy playing Maple for the sake of playing then all good, but if you play to enjoy progression that you have earned then this is like a big ol' slap in the face. I mean, as an example, if your aim is to solo BM, then rather than grow your character(s) for the next couple of years just do nothing then use a potion at that time to instantly catch up on where you would've been anyway. gg
