Every time one of them kills an "opp" they make a new song about it, all of this is being done to sell music and it works, they have racked up hundreds of millions of views because people love that the violence is real. It is vile and parents are burying real children to sell music because people think that actual murderers are way cooler than people who pretend to be murderers. Really stop and think about that. The craziest part about Annalicia is she pins all the blame on black men for staying poor, quoting statistics that prop up black women, while denigrating black men. All while ignoring the context of these statistics. Cue the old saying "Lies, damned lies, and statistics. I really ... really want someone to ask her if black women have any responsibility in maintaining poor socioeconomic status in these poor black communities as "statistically" they're far less likely to use birth control such as the pill compared to all other racial groups. Resulting in the largest margin of unwanted pregnancies which is definitely in the top 3 reasons for people staying poor in life. I COULD use that statistic and just rag on poor black womens for their terrible choices blah blah blah. Or I could look at some context that doesn't just paint them in a terrible light and try to be more nuanced.

She was asked in the last conversation she's in on Destiny's channel with the other 3 guys that exact same question, and she cherry picked the examples to continue on her ideals that black man are the problem, and black women are completely innocent and these saviors of the black race who are hyper competent. I agree with taking responsability for your own actions, but ONLY your own actions, other peoples actions and choices that harm you are not something you have to take any responsability for. And like you said, for the MOST part, dumb people usually get the shit they deserve and the good people get praised, like Erudite, people like her cause she's chill, kind, can engage with banter really well, isn't sensitive and is very intelligent amongst other things, and people like Lav/Mr.Girl get rightfully lambasted because a lot of what they say is completely idiotic, a contradiction or provocative in a bad way.

@awillaway015 Жыл бұрын
Ok so as a black man who's from America as a descendent of slaves I've got some serious criticism for destiny over this. 1.) You brought someone who seriously is hateful of black men, you know she is, and she absolutely doesn't care about the facts of the matter. She ranted and yelled over everyone and denigrated and insulted everyone who came to defend against get position. It's not a matter of disagreeing. She straight up was vitriolic to back men while not even giving any nuance. This was 3 hours of the most racist extremist talking points against black men in history and you just let her do it. Lately you've been going too far on the empathy thing. Sometimes empathy is toxicity. 2.) you can't attribute a negative reaction from your entire audience to just lacking empathy from a different point of view. You're just running a failing platform if you think your audience is so retarded to social and internal mechanisms that they can't comprehend your intent and still say it's not good. Not all content is good content. I'm not gonna sit here and do the thing of demanding you to change how you run your plaform, but it's a rare day when someone can say that something is obviously wrong and this is it. 3.) There are times when people who are not part of an ethnic group are capable of speaking on behalf of another. It doesn't matter if you have limited experience in other ethnic groups. This is your platform and you endorsed colorism and racism. Just because something like minority racism is common didn't make it right. You absolutely have a place to stop someone doing that. That's pure evil. Being lighter skinned doesn't matter. No one cares about the white savior stuff. 4.) bringing people on who you think you can't push back against isn't good if you can't bring people on who can push back. You're just platforming hate without responsibility. You're trading misogyny for misandry and racism in this video. I'm not gonna pretend that telling you how to run your platform is the right thing to do, but when you act as if your audience is too retarded and socially inept to understand your mission and only sticks around for the love to hate them content then you're fundamentally failing at your job. You can't dismiss everyone's criticism and hand wave how inflammatory and disgusting the things she said were. She didn't offer proper evidence or rebuttal to counter fanatic. She came at aba horribly and if aba wasn't patient then it would've ended like it did with 4thot. She didn't know aba or 4hot but used inflammatory and horrible racist and disgusting rhetoric to demean them. She was one of the worst people on this and we can't pretend this wasn't severely mishandled. You may disagree, but I believe the pushback from your community after she left is indicative of the point I'm making being valid. You don't have to make any changes based on what I say but I ask you to seriously consider it. Please understand you're a really unique person who can meet stuff like this roll off your back when directed to you or that you're one of the few people capable of researching on your own. It's very hurtful to have an internet pillar platform hate directed to me with little pushback and it being the stuff I see told about myself all over the world knowing most people don't care to try to understand anything about me and my community.

Call her simply aligning herself with destiny as a microphone only goes to the prototypical anti-black mentality that she openly houses but cannot recognize. 2:48:45 no “Steven” I say that she’s racist because I grew up in a racist environment. I grew up as an African American/Mexican/Native American person, who was raised by a single mother, my father was around until 3rd grade, and my father is full blooded Mexican, he got deported. But I grew up in a small town in NC where I experienced racism every single day, I watched my mother and family get treated poorly, because of our ethnicity, I was one of 4 non-white kids in the whole school. The other two were my older and younger sister, and the 4th was my cousin, you have no idea what it was like growing up having friends tell me they can’t talk to me anymore because I’m black, or having a girlfriend break up with me because her mom told her she’s not allowed to date a Mexican, being called racial slurs everyday, my 7th grade math teacher called me a ni**er one day, the principal said it’s always “you people” who cause problems, in high school my art teacher said the same thing, my economics teacher said I was a menace to society and that I didn’t deserve to be alive, that I should be dead, wanna know why, because she constantly segregated me and talked down to me and one day I stood up for myself. I graduated high school with a scholarship to Berkeley for astrophysics, because one of the 4 teachers in my life who seen my potential, stuck their neck out for me and I made sure to put everything I had into making sure I succeeded. But you know what’s even more fucked up, when one of the kids who didn’t get a scholarship found out I did, they had their dad, who was a state trooper, ruin my chances at getting to go to college, I was wrongfully charged with a slew of things, conspiracy, manufacturing with intent, resisting arrest, attempted murder of a police officer, I lost my chance to go to the college of my dreams, all because of racism. I still went to college, I still made something of myself. But what kills me, is that I see that same bias and racist tendencies in a lot of the things she said. Yes, she had some good points and compelling arguments, but you can’t sit here and tell me she didn’t portray herself as a racist. Nick Fuentes made some compelling arguments and stated facts backed by evidence, does that change the fact that he’s a racist scumbag, NO! So don’t sit there and attempt to patronize me on something you have no experience in, maybe once you watch Cynthia G it’ll open your eyes to the truth, *STEVEN*.

54:00 the mere fact Anna said this is evidence of Aba's point. The idea that biracial people would identify not just outside of the African American community but outright as not black (plus, to add, that they _should_ do this) would've been sacrilege 40 50 years ago, even uncommon or weird in the 90s and 00s. The tide in that opinion has clearly moved and idk where it'll end, but the "black community" in America has undeniably gone through change and is continuing to. The mere fact that now we're having to clarify 'african American' means descendants of American slaves and not actual African immigrants shows the point aswell.

I will say, I think the other minorities that immigrated over, like Italians or Irish, had an easier time blending in and avoiding the racial stigma because they're white passing. Also, those who immigrated often changed their last names, especially through Ellis island, be it by choice or otherwise. My grandpa is Hungarian and had his last names spelling changes through Ellis. I would've never known either. Plenty of people hid or changed their identity.
