You got my utter respect, De Storm. I had no life like yours, but raising up with no other family other than my grandpa, I had to learn what life was fast, to take responsibility, and to find out who I really was. I had no friends, none that I could trust, I had a grandfather who had worked his ass off his whole life, just to support his wife and kids, even when she got sick. grandma died and he was alone with mom and uncle, and yet he kept on fighting to make sure they were secured for the future. He lost his father in a car accident, Then he became a grandfather, and as I was close to two, he lost his second grandchild, then when I turned two, 2 days before christmas eve, he lost his daughter, my mother. I ended up with my shit-assed father, who loved the money, drugs and alcohol more than he ever cared for me, he sold all my stuff and gave me day old food, beated me and threw me to a babysitter who also beated me up, and I was still only 2 years old, so I stold a small bike and tried to run away to my grandpa. Now, I don't know if I should believe in God and such, after everything he took away from us and that shitlife he served to my grandpa, but somehow gramps got the me away from my father, and raised me up, making sure that I would have a sage and secured lige, never going to miss anything, and I've been with him ever since. Even after loosing my uncle 5 3-4 years later after loosibg my mom, he kept on fighting. I got huge respect for my grandpa, and I want him to feel the good in life, not many understands this bond we have, but he's my only truly family that I have left. He never got any other help, then back then from my uncle. I want to succeed in life, I want to proof to him that dreams can come true, that good things can happen and I want him to feel it as well. I want to become a professionel author and have worked for this in years, I want to earn enough money to open my own café, and when I earn even more, I want us to get the hell away from this island, as he want as well, and move to a warmer place, to move to L.A., yes, I shoot high, but it is our dreams who keeps us alive. And I want for us to have a new start. I believe that if you help other people, you will get in return tenfold. I've as a nurse helper and nurse assistent for 13 years, helping people every day, and I still hope for those words to become true. I watched your story with tears in my eyes, a smile on my face and hope in my heart. My oldest son is about to be 20 on November 6th and I see so much potential and strength in him. He's so hard working and headstrong. He's never been in any trouble with the law except a traffic ticket for driving without headlights and I was in the car with him when it happened. Looking at your story has me positive that my child will accomplish what he wants one day. He loves to play basketball and plays everyday if he's not @ work. He al see o changed his major in college from culinary arts to weight training to bulk up and become a physical trainer. We've had hard times and kinda bounced all over and I too am a single mom. DeStorm, you grew up and learned from your experiences......You're an inspiration to many people. Keep doing what you do for your family. Remember.......Your mom is smiling at you now. Wow! I applaud how transparent and encouraging your video was. I am a survivor of an aneurysm which led to Brain surgery and a long recovery.
