I spend nights on end screaming and shaking and kicking my bed and I can't control it. Some days I'm completely fine but other days I won't talk at all and just basically suffer in silence. I then joined a drama club at my school and it really helped me out, I was able to kind of release my emotions through my drama and acting. I also found that sleeping with a lavender scent on my pillow really helped or drinking mint tea before bed. So many people suffer from anxiety or depression in many different ways so there are multiple ways to help. If you are suffering from anxiety please please please don't suffer in silence like I did, it just makes things worse. Find those few things that make you happy, it could be a person, an activity, a scent and food anything! Just find that thing and use it to help you and regain your strength. I promise you aren't alone. Stay strong ❤️

I'll be honest, I dont watch your videos, but I happened apon this and its helped so much I didn't think an awesome person like you with all these subscribers and popularity could have anxiety and this video really broadened my way of thinking. that no one thinks about you as much as you do ((yeah I'm sorry half of that probably didn't make any sense I don't comment often on videos))

I'm 13 and I have panic attacks 1-3 times a month, usually from school or having to do anything publicly (I think that would be social anxiety am I right?) but nobody believes that I do have them. My mom doesn't believe me, so she won't take me to the doctor. Once, before we had to present our book reports to the class, I had a really bad attack and I was crying in the bathroom, shaking, losing feeling in my fingers (my feet felt like static), I couldn't breathe- my usual attack just a little worse. Nobody believed me, even the teacher and my BEST FRIEND accused me of "faking it" How do I get them to believe me?
@cheese-ft9kp10 жыл бұрын
i think i might have social anxiety problem as well. when i have to present something in front of my class i start shaking and get really sweaty (its gross /).(\ ). my breaths are sharper and shorter and i usually don't cry but i feel like im going to. i get this knot in my throat and i start pacing back and forth. its really stressful, but i feel better knowing im not the only one. as for getting ur friends and family to believe u, im sure uve tried explaining how you feel when ur having possibly a panic attack and if they still don't believe try showing them this video or any one that explains it well.

Reagan Fox for long term, meditation would help, everyday deep breathing exercises. when you get anxious though you will have an urge to "go inside yourself", but STAY OUT. by that I mean focus your attention outward, focus on the different colors on the floor tiles, or how there are different colored posters on the wall, the green on the trees outside, or the bumps on your teachers nose. you can first "practice" this when you are not anxious, though and use it later ... hope that helps some.

I've suffered from anxiety and panic attacks since I was 8 and I've learned that if you bottle up that anxiety it's like blowing air into a balloon the more you blow into the ballon the more likely it's gonna pop. The panic attack is the release. What a lot of people don't know is if you feel anxious find something to distract yourself and calm you down. Sometimes it can be the weirdest things to distract you but for me I carry round blue tac in my pocket and if I get anxious I mess with it and make it into people and that distracts me from the thoughts inside my head and if I can't distract myself and I'm gonna have a panic attack and I know I am to calm me down I eat sweets and listen to Justin Bieber and don't talk because that's what calms me down. If you suffer from panic attacks and anxiety I highly recommend finding different ways to distract you and calm you down. Everyone's panic and anxieties are different. So if you read or hear about someone who has it from this or this amount of time don't worry because it won't happen to you as everyone's different. But having someone like Zoe who shows that your not alone really does help.

I have anxiety, really bad anxiety (GAD) with panic attacks as well. It has ruled my life completely. At time is it easier to handle, at that time I can actually do what I need to to try take it under control. But when my other diagnosis gets out of hand, the anxiety is impossible to control. I know what I need to do to make the anxiety lessen, the techniques, but when I feel that bad it is impossible to take in that information and to practice it. Having bad depression, chronic and also having PTSD.. makes my anxiety so much worse. Because it confirms it, it makes me have a valid reason to be scared. (Though the GAD isn't valid at all times, cause it makes me have anxiety about pretty much everything). But certain situations and people is having anxiety about is because of what happened, but it's so strong reaction I have about them. For years I couldn't go out, I couldn't even go to therapy. I've had anxiety since I was a kid, discovered it when I started school at 6. Since then it has only got worse and has when getting older completely escalated. Depression started around 10 years of age. I can't remember a time when I haven't had anxiety, and feels impossible I ever will. Life is hardly worth living.

That sounds like a panic attack. Definitely look more into it and talk to a doctor (and possibly even a therapist) a doctor will diagnose you and a therapist will help you understand your triggers. They can’t always be avoided or stopped, but power is knowledge and the more you know about them the easier they are to get through.

+Tess Blair Please tell your parents and please get help. It's too much to go around with something like anxiety all by yourself. It's not just going to stop. If you don't get help it may turn out worse and not treatable with only therapy. No one should live with anxiety. It CAN and WILL get better with treatment. Trust me. I was afraid and ashamed at first too. But there's literally nothing to be afraid or ashamed of. It's perfectly common and normal to have anxiety. And there is ways to get out it. Do it for yourself. You will thank yourself so much afterwards. You deserve to get that burden off your shoulders. Please just tell someone about it. You deserve to feel better.

Johanna Wright Rome wasn't built in one day. You need to give yourself time. For some people therapy isn't enough. I know a lot of people who take medication as well. You know yourself better than anyone else, so you need to talk to your therapist and your doctor. They can help you way better than I can. I wish you the best in life. Be strong! One day the bullies will stop. They will grow up. You will grow up, and everything will be fine again. You can do this! Wishing you the best xx
@xSerenaVDWoodsen8 жыл бұрын
***** That is perfectly normal. A lot of people have that. A close friend of mine had the same issue as you. After going to a therapist for approx. 6 months, those situations no longer scared her, and she could be among a large group of people with no problem. I am not saying yours will disappear within the same time frame, because everything is different. But it is just to give you an example. Even though it might seem impossible, you can overcome your fears! But it is better to get help, because this is the only way to sort it out. Good luck! I hope you tell your parents! xx

Yep mines lasted about an hour now my throat tickles but it can help to do this that I'm about to tell you tap your cheekbone any one or the soft part of your palm and think about how high your panic is right now let's say it's 10/10 tap your cheekbone or the soft part of your palm and let's say you did it for 30 seconds you would be at 8/10 depending on the height of your 10/10 so like 10.7/10 you are panicking too much! Just calm down it will be ok panic is caused by let's say something like a loved one is gone your sad and it's a really big change like we had to get rid of my cat it's causing the panic or feeling sick or your throat tickles a 5second rule will work aswell so count backwards from 5 like 5 4 3 2 1 and go somewhere or something and go back to the position you were in or think about your favourite thing or person like your at a stage show and your favourite actor is there think about it make sure no other thoughts take over the the thought you're thinking about right now thanks for reading bye!

I'm glad you are getting therapy! And sadly, your dad will probably never understand it. It's sad, but some people who never experience anxiety or depression will ever understand how hard it is to live with. That's why we have to be strong and seek help on our own, and build a strong support network of people who can catch us when we're falling. Hope you have a wonderful day!

I get anxiety attacks every Sunday before school. I get them during school too. I'm 14. I never know what makes me panic and everyone asks what's happening when I suddenly go quiet during a conversation. I usually shake but I've never cried or anything. My heart rate, heart pressure and adrenaline level increases. I go numb in my extremities and I have cold sweats. I rarely feel sick though. The awful thing is, my teachers have a strict rule which says that you can't leave the class for any reason during a lesson, which means I just have to sit there, looking scared and hot and whatnot. Eventually, I found someone with anxiety and we can help eachother through panic attacks and anxiety.
@ester24879 жыл бұрын
+FrogsVlogs I'm so glad that you found someone to talk to about this. Remember, everything is temporary. This will eventually go away, or at least lessen. I'm going through a similar thing, and I hope what I say helps slightly, even if it is just me spouting nonsense.I've been suffering from anxiety for about just under 2 years, and just talking to my friend about it and just getting everything out, made me feel so much better. Even if that person can't exactly help you professionally, it will make you feel better to get what your feeling, out of your system. I hope that this helps. I don't know if it has, but I want to help people who are suffering from these kind of things. I'm always here if you need to talk. This will fade, and you will get better.

One of my best coping skills is when I start to get a panic attack, I think (or even say out loud) to my panicking brain, 'ok, thank you honey, but I'm completely safe. It's fine, calm down.' Also I know it's weird but if you talk to your anxiety kind of like it's a person, it is easier to manage. Like, 'Ok, but see, this situation isn't dangerous, just calm down.'

Hey, Zoe? So, in the beginning, you said if you helped one person, you'd be happy. I know this is an old video, but this did help me so so so much. For a few years, I've been struggling with minor panic disorder and social anxiety. This video helped a lot and helped me explain to my friends and family how it feels and what happens and how they can help. Also, if it helps, a thing I use to help calm down when I'm panicking or feeling down in public, I always carry around a very small stuffed animal that I rub and try to describe to anybody around. It helps me focus on one thing and it calms me down. I don't know if that helps others, but it's just another tip. Again, thank you so much for making this video, it helped me a lot and others around me. Ily Zoe!

It's really brave of u to talk about it here in youtube , I was never able to tell anyone I get panic attacks ... I tired to tell my parents but just the idea makes me feel nauseous !
@kawaiiushii10 жыл бұрын
how about showing them this video if you feel like you can't tell them verbally ... like ask them to please watch it and tell them it's the same for you (or write them a letter if it's still hard to ask them to watch it) and then after they watch it they probably will come to you to calmly talk and make you feel accepted the way you are and then think together with you for ways to treat this. when you have something like that you need to tell people who are close to you so they can reach out for you. you shouldn't suffer from it and deal with it alone they're your parents they will help you and be there for you if you need them.
@hydra2060810 жыл бұрын
kawaiiushii thx for ur reply , but the reason I never told them is that I dont want them to be worried about me and be more over-protective than they already were at the time I used to get panic attacks a lot , but after looking on the Internet I learned to deal with them , and now I dont get them that often too , but thank u ^^

So dont blame them for it ^^ Also confide in some friends who d understand, it s really important for u to have someone beside u who u can seek his help ..... more importantly never let urself feel lonely ^^

What I want in anxiety attacks depends on how anxious I am. I reach point where I do not want to be touched or spoken to. On my way calming down, I want a hug. I don't want anything to go in my mouth but my throat is so dry. I want to lie down, but I feel I need to keep moving. I want a distraction, but I don't want to do anything. I feel so hot but I'm shaking from cold. I want everyone to go away but I don't want to be alone. Its utter terror, and it feels completely justified, even if you've got no idea why you are panicking.

Paula C I know. People mistake your fear and distress for being short-tempered or annoyed. Have you spoken to people about it? I'm no therapist, but I don't know how I could get through my anxiety without my Mum. Also, a way i tend to deal with it is distraction. I watch KZbin, paint my nails, etc. It's easy for people to mistake behavior when they don't know what's going on, so please talk to someone. I am not great at advice and I'm no therapist, but I understand what you are going through. I send my love Xxxxxxxxx

The other day I got a panic attack on the bus on my way to school. I didn't know what to do I was terrified. The fact that I was not going to be able to get out of the bus did not help me it just made me feel worse. I just sat there beside my little sister (5-year-old) and thought:"I can't let it show now, I just cant. You can do it Isidora!" And by the time I felt better, but the panic still didn't go away. So as i started breathing so fast a person my age (13) turned and said:" Are you alright?" I looked up at him trying to hide all of the things that were going on, but it was still going out. I just shook my head and I felt terrible. Then i felt his hand on my shoulder, he said:"Panic?" I nodded and he said:"Relax and breathe deeply." And after a few minutes I felt better and I thanked him. Im sooo soo thankful to him. 😊

I'm 14, and I have always been really really shy. But this past year I'm seriously contemplating whether or not I have social anxiety. When I'm with new people, I literally feel a force holding me back from offering a sentence or answering a question; most times I just nod or say a one word answer, which really frustrates me because I feel as though I had something funny or important to say. I feel like a bubble is around my brain and when someone asks me a question or I have to read in class I just take a few seconds to replay the question and it sounded like they were underwater. Anybody that has input- I would love it 💕
@ericad9069 жыл бұрын
I also believe I had my first panic attack a few months ago when my parents told me they weren't happy together. I started hyperventilating and shaking and my head was spinning- I was sweating and had to lie down or I would fall. I'm not sure if this is a panic attack because I'm not very educated on this type of thing.
@abeni83019 жыл бұрын
I have your exact same problem, and I fear I might have social anxiety too. And I can't talk to my parents because they wouldn't believe me (I've tried to before it didn't really work out) I would talk to your guardians, if you think they are a good choice of speaking too, if not then try and find someone who does have social anxiety and ask them what they did before they were diagnosed. Hope this helped, good luck and stay strong! .xx

Panic attack is the worst thing in the world. I’ve been suffering from anxiety and panic disorder (and that caused other mental disorders) since I was a kid. I can’t even go out and do anything in my life. During panic attacks I feel like there is no air for me anymore and I’m not breathing (Ik that sounds stupid) and that causes more anxiety and more panic. And then depersonalization and derealization comes and I freak out even more. That happens literally everyday. Is anyone else’s panic attacks similar to mine tho?
@lasredchris6 жыл бұрын
Yup. The one that helped me was accepting those sensations. Anxiety tricks you into protecting yourself which creates more tension/adrenaline
@cassiejensen69886 жыл бұрын
Ana Stasïa yep. That’s the cause of my panic attacks is depersonalization.

I am not sure that I have what you would call full on anxiety disorder, but my bestfriends are very extroverted and loud and they like sneaking out in the middle of the night to meet these boys that do drugs and aren't very nice to be around. They also like to meet new people (mostly people that they don't know) and go to parties. I however, am very introverted I like my space, my circle of friends and i have different intrests and taste inj music to them, etc. And I feel very anxious when my friends ask me to sneak out with them or to go to parties with them because I just over think all of the terrible things that could happen and all the situations that could make me feel embarassed or uncomftable or awkward and although that hasn't exactly happened like that before, I am too afraid to go out because I feel as if I am just going to panic and everything will go wrong. I haven't told my friends this because I know that they won't understand and they really don't they just think that I am shy or too boring to get out of the house so I don't talk to them about it but I feel like I am wasting my teenage years worrying and just doing nothing with my time. So I just want to know , do I have anxiety disorder? I just feel so annoyed and frustrated because nobody I know personally understands how I feel and I think maybe if i just put a label on it they might understand. thankyou xx

I'm 11 and I've started having panic attack since I started big school. It really scared me and I feel like I can't breathe, I cry and sometimes I collapse. I usually feel dizzy and like I'm going to pass out. I feel claustrophobic. It really scares me so this really helped! 💕

trust me I get you. I am about to turn 12. Trust me you are loved. try just to ratonolize. I don't now if I am even helping right now. breathe in for 4 seconds hold for 4 seconds and breathe out. know you are not going to die . ratonolize.

Just calm down it will be ok panic is caused by let's say something like a loved one is gone your sad and it's a really big change like we had to get rid of my cat it's causing the panic or feeling sick or your throat tickles a 5second rule will work aswell so count backwards from 5 like 5 4 3 2 1 and go somewhere or something and go back to the position you were in or think about your favourite thing or person like your at a stage show and your favourite actor is there think about it make sure no other thoughts take over the the thought you're thinking about right now thanks for reading bye!

remember grades are temporary and life is so much better when you can let things go and enjoy it. anxiety has consumed me until I realized I could remind myself no matter how bad things get, like my grades, what matters most is my happiness. so what I'm trying to say is you need to think of your happiness and maybe don't even think of your grades for a few weeks and just focus on enjoyment...

I am the same and most people don't believe I have anxiety because I have attacks mostly at home or in more social situations! My friend Mollie has them a lot worst than me and people call her attacks 'Mollie meltdowns'. I also don't even know what triggers them. My first one was underneath my bed when I was at home and I was very stressed. I don't have very bad anxiety but I feel anxious and like everyone is looking at me! Anyway, my first time, a friend was arguing with me and her friend called me some names I will not repeat and I had more each day! I lost weight (I was thin anyway) and now I am building back up. This video really helped my future as soon I will pick my options. Anytime you wanna chat, my Facebook is XxkatewheelxX.🤓

I've told my parents I have anxiety and they said "stop joking about something serious, you are too young to get anxiety." They didn't understand what I am going through and I haven't mentioned it since then. In school we had to write songs about world problems and I wanted to do anxiety as the subject but the rest of my group said it wasn't a real world problem. Anxiety can cause suicide and depression and many other seriously horrible things, if that isn't a problem, what is it? No one I've met has ever understood what I'm going through and it makes the struggle worse. I hope I find someone who can help me at least a little. But until that time arrives I will suffer on my own... 😔😪

I understand I know I'm extremely late and I'm so sorry but I had a panic attack in school like a month ago I've had more but that was at school and my dad works at school so they told him Now I was terrified of the 'talk' that was going to happen in the car so I guess I just panicked even more and ok so i have depression I know that because I looked up the symptoms and my parents found out what I looked up and really shouted at me so I was scared that the same thing was going to happen when I told him this so I just pretended nothing happened and carried on Then on the weekend I just couldn't do it anymore I wanted to let someone know so then on Monday I explained everything to him and you know what he denyed it completely so to this day I have had every single panic attack away from my parents and that is my main trigger but hey refused to believe me so I just suffered alone well I had a friend that has anxiety disorder so we can talk but I don't like to do that and I just wanted to let you know you aren't alone if hat was what you were talking about If it's not what your talking about then in really sorry for he long comment I just wasted you time but yeah.. Your not suffering alone just know that Ok I should shut up..

@desireemiranda97668 жыл бұрын
BettyBoo Hmm, panic attacks aren't really stress related, they might be linked to stress, but most likely not caused by stress. You may just be getting overwhelmed, I know juggling school, the internet, day to day things, a social life, and hobbies all at once is tough; just keep in mind you're fine and it isn't the end of the world just because you find doing all this hard.

+Damaris Isigar that must really suck. I don't think I have anxiety but I do have a phobia. It's not a bad phobia considering it's of something that's already scary although it is a phobia considering it's an irrational fear. I had a panic attack at school today and my school counselor was in a session with another student but had to be brought out because I was at the point where I almost wasn't breathing and I was just sitting there in front of my classroom, like a hot mess. I feel your pain. I'm not trying to make this about myself but I do want you to understand that I understand. My phobia is often used as a descriptive word and there's a picture of my phobia on one of my classrooms so it's really not that uncommon for panic attacks to occur in my life, even though I don't have anxiety (I do however suffer depression and quite possible also ADHD. Some people also think I have OCD but some people think I'm on drugs so I don't pay much attention to what those people think). The point that I'm failing to make is that we're all here for you and you're not an outcast in anyway, nor is any of this your fault.

I think I had a panic attack in English yesterday. I think it was because {this sounds stupid} I really needed to cough, but didn't want to because I was scared people would get annoyed and stare at me. Everybody was doing silent reading. I just tried to solve the problem and cough, but I physically couldn't. I felt like crying, I wanted to ask if I could go outside but I didn't want everyone looking at me, my hands were sweating, my heart was racing. My friend was next to me and he was telling me earlier that he had some orange squash (😂). I asked him if I could have some squash and he let me. It calmed me down a little but I was on edge for the remainder of the lesson. Today when I was in English, we were silent reading again. The same thing happened but on a lower scale. I'm thirteen years old. Was this a panic attack? What do I do next time I'm in English? I really don't want it to happen again. Please somebody help.

I have had the same problem before. I always have water on my desk. If I panic about coughing ect. I drink water. Not only does is stop the coughing issue but use it as a mental escape. If you ever have a different type of panic attack drink water and problems might go away. 😃 the most important thing is to tell someone.
@kasidilla75958 жыл бұрын
just really try to find a mental escape. also try not to acknowledge the fact that you could have a panic attack... at least for me that can really trigger one.

I had a panic attack during a speech, the teacher already knew I was nervous to the extreme, I went up there and I couldn't even look at my paper because if I did my hands violently shook, then she stopped me and have ME a speech to calm down and relax, I clung onto the board two feet back, I looked like a psycho. I then only focused on my teacher, it helped but it was terrible because I needed something to lean onto in the first place to have a smooth presentation. To make it 1000x worse, people came up to me saying my speech was really good but asked why I was so nervous,which made me upset because I didn't honestly know. I think it might be from everyone deathly staring at me, it makes me feel like I'm in a giant room with a bunch of people staring at me from the back. Honestly, this has scarred me for life and it makes me think my future presentations will be just as terrible.
