Ran into a Swordsoul deck a couple weeks ago at Locals, and it is still pretty good. The player took a game against me and I was playing Spright Twin. I also noticed VW Adventure is strong this format. But also enjoying Spright Twin with the Avramax Mosquito under Elf strategy with a double cross set.

I've been playing swordsoul since it came out, and I love the deck. It's really fun to play and you can do a lot with it. My usual end board is either Baronne, berserker, chixiao with blackout and called by if I'm lucky enough to get the one of, or instead of Barone I have sinister longyuan. Board is nuts

I’ve been playing what I call Mermail ocean. It’s a mix of the traditional Mermail atlantean plays all the shark/fish extenders in order to create more tool box options. The side deck is nothing but board breakers like ttt, lighting storm, and evenly matched

I would play Branded Regained in this deck. You are already running Bystials and both Tenyis and SSs also banish Light and Dark monsters naturally.

Another way to kill tear is by using swordsoul and six Samurai with pure synchro or my favorite way . Using the remove from play deck which will deck them out

Hey Logan, did you look into playing psychic end punisher? Tear basically can't out it if it's above 4k attack and spright can struggle to get over it since less and less people are playing cat shark, kinda nutty! Ik it's kinda hard to pull off, but it may be worth it

Always hit kitkallos, as soon as it hits the board. Negate it, banish it, whatever you need to do. Also hitting the field spell for sure if they have it, negate and destroy that puppy. 😤 kitkallos is definitely the choke point. For either game, stopping the fusion summoning in grave is key, using bystials or d.d. Crow is the best way to prevent them from shuffling back to summon a fusion. As soon as they start fusion summoning they snowball from there, so don’t let them fusion. Dimension barrier is good for the side against them, but they’ll just make bagooska so have imperm too.

Don't the bystials clash with the tenyis since you put effect monsters on the field? Maybe it works in practice but it doesn't sound great in theory☠️

I have literally never had them conflict. The tenyis typically make monk in a going first play, or if the board gets broken. And you can always just uh, tribute summon a tenyi if you’re absolutely desperate then make monk. The deck doesn’t rely as heavily on tenyis now as it did before. The entire play style has changed and it depends on the matchup. But I can say with confidence in literally over a month of testing that I haven’t had an issue with it at all!
