I was there as a firefighter. No civilians died, but we lost a colleague, a young firefighter. We couldn't get him out of the area because of the intense heat and the danger of further explosions. What they fail to mention here, is that the fire burned for days, we could see the dead body of our fallen brother just 150 m from us, we had to wait two days before it was deemed safe enough to recover his body....(He died from the largest eksplosion as I recall it)i I wasn't there the day they recovered the body, but needless to say that it became an even more emotional day for all. This incident is something that all Danish firefighters remember, and the incident is now basic in how not to store fireworks.

This is a fireworks factory in a district of Kolding called Seest. I remember the day, it was yesterday when I lived in Kolding at this time just about 3Km from there. The fire probably started because of the smoker who smoked while he was packing large boxes and containers with Gunpowder / Fireworks... The firecracker was in the middle of a residential area and approx. 300 houses were evacuated and burned down. The fire brigade did what they could, but the fire took over the area with huge explosions from the ground, so the fire brigade had to evacuate their employee, but one fireman remained, a true hero, but he did not get out in time and perished on the Fireworks square during a large explosion. It was in 2004 so I'm sorry it was the buckles to look at then and then because I lived in the area, I remember how we three young boys managed to tear ourselves apart these three different barriers they had made, the first barrier was to re the traffic, and the next roadblock only had access for injured evacuees and emergency vehicles and then I remember seeing a convoy of approx. 50 ambulances just stopped and waited for the victims, so they could transport them in cars to hospitals, and the last cordon was to the area with the chip that only the military, fire engines and ambulances had access to! I don't know what they were going to do with it, I remember seeing a crew wagon with maybe 10-15 soldiers in the back, it was a bit strange if it was an accident, and later a tank also came to the scene, but the excuse for that was that it was so hot inside the closed containers that you needed a tracked vehicle that could make a hole in the containers with gunpowder in to get the heat out of the containers, so that they don't blow up due to the heat! kzbin.info/www/bejne/omXMf4KdqqiBfLM

How do fireworks ignite when a small box slips from their hands? Thats such a cover up for some one fucking around and either purposely igniting them or something similiar just to cover the companies ass from more lawsuits
@JasonMasters6 жыл бұрын
That's what I wondered too. If it's true, the only possible explanation is that it was a firework with a built-in igniter, like you pull a cord to start the fuse burning and then retreat to a safe distance, but dropping the box caused enough friction in the igniter to light the fuse.

idk what would be dumb for a comment; "Happy (Insert holiday with fireworks)!", quoting Bootleg Fireworks Fail, or quoting Fireworks war gone wrong

Jomei Bernier dident intend to smile :/ i live in denmark and i was there the day i just intended to put some attention onto the fact that the guys that made this show have put fake sounds over the explosion just to try and make it sound cool
@CJojo_13_10 жыл бұрын
JMAssainatorz oh well they didn't would fake to me, but if you say so.
@JMAssainatorz10 жыл бұрын
first off you need to notice that it seems like a unified explosion sound where this is actually an entire werehouse blowing up igniting a extreeme amount of fireworks the resoulting sound is not a unified Bang but more the sound of 10s of thousends of firecrackers or rockets going off the defrient angels also would resoult in a defrient sound thise images are taken by video cameras of random people apparently everyone was using the same quality microphone :P and last but not least that i can say that that sound did not exactly sound like that from my view point that night :S

Nope, the official investigation concluded that they actually *didn't* store more than they were permitted, and that information was available in 2006.

That is the magic of urban development. One day there isn't 1000 people, so you build a fireworks factory there. Then a few years later... 1000 people
