You also have to make sure the walls are not load bearing walls, if it is you have to first put in another wall that can hold the home and sometimes you can’t remove the wall at all because the structure is too unstable to do so.

I was just watching someone livestream this game. He spent 2 hours trying to level the dirt lot and still got 0 stars. Apparently the dirt mechanics are pretty janky. Btw, there was a damage shield in the backyard of the wall demo job. You can place it to prevent debris from hitting furniture. The devs could have made that a little more clear.
