Hm... I was thinking of respecing Lae'Zel into Monk for this fight, but I forgot that the Maneuver attacks deal extra damage. Maybe I'll just get a hireling Monk and keep her a Fighter.

Having a monk which inflicts bludgeoning damage, which Grym is weak to, and the insane accuracy you get as a monk makes them an essential element for me. Especially factoring in the topple flurry of blows. The manoeuvre attacks are just epic too...I can't do without them.

@neekBG3 I was a bit reluctant to make a monk for Honour, because I already played one. But the more I think about various bosses, the more I think a monk will be necessary.

Nice work, just beat grym myself on honor mode all be it much sloppier then your encounter lmao. Does furry of blows: topple not trigger his legendary action?

Inflicting prone prevents the use of actions, bonus actions, and reactions. I have found that bosses legendary actions are activated as a “reaction” so bashing them prone prevents them activating this.

Easiest way I found to this was to jump on him with a druid owlbear

It is a method that I have heard a lot about but have never seen. Does it work in Honor mode too? I would love to explore that method.

@@neekBG3 It does. However, from my experience the damage has been nerfed quite a bit. I just left someone engaged in battle and kept killing and reviving with withers and repeated until he was dead.

@@LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO7636 would you cast enlarge on the companion and fill their inventory with more weight to maximise the damage taken? And that’s a bloody clever idea, Withers doing double time.
