Thanks a lot. I would say that the main reason why it improved so much was because I couldn't see the timer during the run. In my last run, I could see the timer, so I freaked out and lost 13 seconds on absrad. This time, I had no idea I was on a decent pace, so I wasn't scared.

Nightmare King is great, I should have changed that. The reason I had it labeled like that is because you have to wait for the flame pillars to attack him otherwise he'll do two balloons. He's a good boss though, just unfair in the speedrun.

I’ve been doing my first real grind on pantheon of hallownest recently (after almost 500 hours in the game lol), and seeing this has given me the determination to continue. I’ve died to AbsRad 3 times now and but I can consistently beat her in practice. Such a pain.

I'm so glad to hear that this is a motivation. Remember, if you're ever feeling uncertain about whether or not you can beat absrad, I think you should practice again in HOG. That may seem boring, but it's much more boring to do the whole pantheon again.

Sardine Slayer is correct. Also, if you want to do runs without overcharm, I recommend either: "strength, quick slash, shaman, fury" or "strength, quick slash, steady body, fury, longnail"

This isn't actually my file (original owner sent me the download), but basically someone edited it to reduce the mask number using debug mod. That's allowed by the official speedrunning ruleset tho since it's the exact same as playing through the game on a 5 mask file, the only advantage being you don't need to watch the credits.

You can only really punish the flame pillars cuz otherwise you don't do enough damage before the first balloon so you might have to go through two balloon phases which takes way way longer. Other than the speedrun tho he is a great boss.
