What's the secret to keeping those vertical blunt slides mine still looking like over tail slides

For me, it's all in my shoulders and putting all the weight on my back foot. The shoulders are important to keep closed so it's easier to pop out.

Do bigger wheels help you get on top for blunts? I can't seem to get on top of the curb when I go for slappy blunts

I usually ride 54-52mm. Not sure if they make a difference. I'd assume it would be easier to get into but harder to lock in with big wheels. Try learning on a slanted parking block first and just slap into blunt and transfer over like a spine ramp. That should help with the motion.
