I think it’s the simplicity here that makes its so desirable and unique. Tati made a product that is so obvious, but yet didn’t exist. She didn’t bamboozle with a pop of teal - she made a timeless, classic product that is extremely organic, useful, and simplistic. It’s brilliant really.

@SwayTree4 жыл бұрын
Since I think that red pigments that aren't FDA approved but considered safe elsewhere and the worst thing you can get is staining your eyelids aren't bothering the glitter is complete other story. This is plastic. It doesn't dissolve in water and the particles are quite large. Imagine it getting onto your eyeball and then under your eyelid. It's sharp. The damage ot can cause is huge. If you are lucky then no problem. But what if not? I suffered eye damage once (not related to makeup) and I really don't want to go through it again. I have only two eyeballs for my whole life. They don't regenerate like skin does. The risk is too big to take it in order to just look pretty.
@xBloodGarnetx4 жыл бұрын
Eye safe is about the materials and sharpness of the edges. It's never good to get things in your eye, it's terrible to get sharp things with edges that will cut in your eye. Sharp edged glitters shouldn't be in a palette obviously for the eyes 🤷

Unless you actually own this palette, you can’t really make fair assumptions about it. Personally, I love it! I have never owned matte shades that perform the way these do. I personally think the "inconsistency" is necessarily a bad thing, some shade might not be as "pigmented" swatched but with brushes, sometimes less is more. you pick up less product with less payoff means the blendability will be maximised whilst getting shades that are too pigmented can and will mess up the whole look if not used properly. This pallete is very user friendly and at a professional mua stand point, to build up color is the best option that to lay down too much at first blend.

I feel like I'm one of very few people who has zero interest in this palette. Putting aside Tati's channel and her as a person overall, the palette is just so... bland. The metallic magenta is probably the only shade there I'd ever want to use. I'm curious to know what happens if you scoop a bit of each texture together and repress the mixture, though. For people who don't want to use pressed glitters on your eyes, you can repurpose them on your nails! Put a layer of polish on and wait for it to dry a little bit, then press the glitter onto your nail and use a top coat to make it less bumpy. :) (Also a lot of people said this palette was revolutionary and whatever, but I definitely remember Almay having quads that were essentially the same idea. Four different textures/formulas of a single color packaged together.)

The FDA requires the warning because of the size of the glitter particles. They are smaller than the ones in colourpop so I feel safe wearing them and I have worn all the glitters on my eyes and have been fine. I know to use it only on the lid. Don’t wear in the inner corner or waterline. It’s kind of when you see on eye shadows that it used on the eye because more often than not those not safe for eye shades usually can cause staining.
@CatherineCane4 жыл бұрын
eye safe doesn't mean it's dangerous, it just means you're taking a risk basically! it's a very small risk that a piece of glitter can scratch your eye so they need to put a warning. usually your eye will water and the glitter will come out. i have a few of the non eye safe colourpop glitters and i still use them, i just make sure to keep them away from the waterline and try not to get it in my eyelashes.

I don’t believe it’s the colors. It’s the versatility. the textures, of the palette and the formula. Like I have a lot of palettes and I do have similar matte shades. But not in the other textures. I have seen people use this palette and it does seem a lot different than what’s out there currently. People can layer and really play with this palette. Is it a must? No. You probably already have the matte shades. Do I think it’s a very well thought out palette that is different from what’s out there? Yes. The formulation seems different in how you can layer the shades and the different textures. A lot of palettes are just made with a bunch of pigment that you have to blend and blend and blend. While this seems like a more sophisticated eyeshadow. Plus, her inspiration for this palette were women who just needed to use one palette to do everything with. She didn’t think of this product in terms of “what shades haven’t we seen yet.” The truth is we have probably seen all shades already. And so I personally think the way it’s set up was unique to start off with. That’s why it appeals to me. She took those matte shades and made them exciting again through those textures. Plus many people don’t really have those glitters or those sequin shades. So it’s not like people have all these shades. If I had the money I’d get it. 😂

Alexis TwoLastNames For me, the synth sound used has a kind of off-tune sound to it, especially the loop that is in the foreground of the music. If the loop was more in the background, and the more “improvised” part was more in the foreground, I think it would be more balanced. I'd love to use a pallette like that but all those glitters would kill my eyes and my contacts 😯

I have sensitive dry eyes and would never dare using those glitter colours, even as stunning as they are... But I may buy the palette just for the other three lines.

Can you rub a little vaseline over your eyelid first so the glitter eyeshadow won’t come off?
@paraboo89944 жыл бұрын
@@JMarieCAlove I think that might work if I didn't have the worst hooded eyes. Anything that can move, will move into my crease to gather there. UD primer potion struggles to keep mattes on place on my stupid lids 😡

Yep. I refuuuuse to buy a pallet with non eye safe glitters.

I feel like I would maybe have considered this palette if it wasnt for those glitters, I have enough trouble with eyelashes in my eyes without bringing glitter into the equation. Plus from someone with a childcare background - once glitter touches your body you better get used to it because its not leaving you in a hurry. Edit - is that the eyeshadow spinning in the pan or the actual pan spinning? Because it sure looks like its the pan.

I bought this pallet originally for the sequin shades, but I was so pleasantly surprised on how much I like the metallic shades. And the mattes are just incredible. It’s all I’ve wanted to reach for since I got it

I’m confused - if glitters aren’t eye safe, why are they in an eyeshadow palette?
@tlmeyerink4 жыл бұрын
So they're not held liable when it scratches your cornea.
@killme76924 жыл бұрын
Most, if not all glitters, are labelled as not being eye safe. Kathleen Lights made a video if I remember correctly on why colourpop pressed glitters aren't eye safe. It's mostly to warn people not to put it directly on the waterline or directly onto the eyeball because apparently some people need to be warned not to do the obvious 😅

As for the pans turning, I think they are meant to be taken out if you want to move certain shades to a magnet palette. She mentioned she took a couple of shades with her on vacation in a magnetic palette along with some other brands/colors
@bonniebeauty2 жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed this palette, even though the pressed glitters are not eye safe. I also had a horrible allergic reaction to the pink column and a couple of the orange shades. My eyelids swelled up and were sooo incredibly itchy. I think it was the particular red dye used in the formula. Tati's brand is now closed but, I still enjoy this palette. I'm planning on de-potting the shades I enjoy to condense the palette into something smaller and USABLE!
@elizabethmusco76834 жыл бұрын
I must say nothing has ever performed the way this eyeshadow palette has and the amount of looks that I’ve been able to achieve soothe and sequin story are my favorites and I use in slide every eye look. All the glitters are simply stunning and the sequined aura gives you the most beautiful glow all over the lid if you don’t want to go heavy with the other glitter. I about almost had a heart attack watching it being chopped up but it’s good to know these things and I agree the sequin formula would make one hell of a lipstick

I’d love to see a Makeup Breakup where y’all destroy a high quality palette next to a low quality palette, so we can learn a bit more about the chemical makeup (ha) of a high quality product...sometimes it’s noticeable in swatches but I want to see it in a makeup destruction vid 😄

My surprise favorite from the palette was the whole red column, and the cream sequin shade. I love smoking out the matte red in my crease, and it wears super well on my eyes. I am curious, though, as to why it was released as one palette rather than smaller color capsules? Regardless, I really enjoy my palette.

I so wish those pressed glitters wouldn't be shoved in every single pallette. Sick and tired of them. They're not eyesafe, they are not very friendly to the environment and most people don't actually wear glitter on daily or even weekly basis, so it's just a waste of space and plastic.
@booksnlipstick4 жыл бұрын
Barbara Kovač I don’t mind them here; this isn’t for regular consumers. Plus I think she’ll probably have eye safe enviro-safe glitters in her followup products. People weren’t up in arms about glitter while this was being developed.

The thing about those glitters- barely need to touch them to pick up a nice amount, they go straight on the eyelid (no need to use a glue or a primer!) leaving no trace left on the finger, and they do not shed or flake off ALL DAY. They are magic 😍

This was single handily the most over hyped palette I’ve ever witnessed. My roommate was so excited to get it on its first launch and it was a huge dud for her. Glitter fallout like something wild, mattes were patchy when blended, metallics were subpar, and sequins blended out into mattes. I gave it the good college try too and was not remotely impressed. No return policy too so my roommate paid 50+ dollars for unusable eyeshadow.
