I asked a high key top player why he was using Mayhem instead of Havoc, I always had the sense that controling who to havoc was better. He responded "It procs a lot, and the uptime is higher than havoc, also, it is 1 less GCD to worry about."

Surely the Shadowburn row is better both with QoL in terms of movement and in towards spending shards for Diabolist?

I think the main benefit of the "raid" build in m+ is shadowburn. It's just so good atm. Hits so damn hard it's my biggest source of dam in m+. Really wanna run havoc with it so you get those fat execute funnels. It gives you a massive source off dam when things are starting to die and trying to hard cast on stuff becomes hard and you don't wanna send RoF. Then also soulfire becomes good because shadowburn crits so much it procs all the time.

Shadowburn (+ Havor) is an absolute MUST in M+, Soulfire is decent, but I don't like how clunky it often feels to play. I'm currently running Rift + the talent that can refresh charges of it in M+ but might try out Rift + the splash damage talent or even Channel Demonfire + the upgrade talent next. Always experiment and find out what works best for you (and, of course, listen to input from experts like Kalamazi).

@@Nr4747 Yea I've tried CDF and Rift. The buffs to them seemed like they should be good. But I was a little underwhelmed by both still tbh.

@@ghostfacedninja1000 Rift has been the most useful for me in heavy movement raid fights like Council, but I simply like that it lets you cast something additional on the move while also giving you some instant shard fragments. CDF I still have to try out, maybe I'll give it a shot this week - or maybe I'll try the splash damage talent for Rift, not sure yet. Will definitely try out Mayhem for M+ on this fort. week, that's for sure.

Was running this build after the CDF buff when I saw it on RIO, felt like it's really close to the other builds and I can sometimes get better with the SB one etc, but this one felt way less effort than trying to desperately minmax SB value and instead just reaping value from Cata->CDF.

CDF still inferior to SB. But run Hellcaller. With my play style it’s a 200-400k over Diabolist. It might not seem much when I’m doing 3M dps but does on small packs…. 1.6M vs 1.8M

It is looking like 70% are playing Shadowburn route and 30% are playing CDF route. I think that the sole reason Destro is making sense to play is its huge prio dmg and quite good ST dmg. And that you get solely from Shadowburn. CDF feels more just like a quality of life talent, which doesn't make quite sense to me if you really want to push keys

In my keys (7-8) my highest dmg talent is cdf. Start with RoF then Cata then CDF. Roxx. Also with the 3rd CDF talent it is fast to use. I do play it with shadowburn instead of SF since this is happening too rarely and cdf brings more pressure on bosses.

SH Aff and Diab Destro are both pretty descent in keys, it brings huge prio damage which is needed if you want to push Demo is fine for lower keys if you want to do pad damage

I started playing destro in a lot of these dungeons just for the fact that target switching to adds as affliction feels absolutely horrible to play. My overall ends up being around the same anyway.

I’m playing Hellcaller Destro and I’ve yet to be beaten in damage in a dungeon. On bosses I’m usually double digit percentages ahead of most other DPS, and even if I’m not, my overall DPS is untouchable.

shadowburn build is fantastic. Side note, all 3 specs fill meh atm. Aff isn't great for target switching Demo isn't great ST if you go AOE. and Destruction because we run ST, we have strong ST, but we can't compete with frost dk/etc.

I’m looking at the high level mythic + dung , it seems warlock is lacking it terms of dmg, it is not even close to be A or S tier , currently it’s B tier …

Yep thats true, warlock needs buffs. We weren't even close to S Tier in Dragonflight (except MDI which is a whole different game) when Demo was around the highest dmg in the game. Now there are sooo many other specs which do quite some more dmg and have wayyy better and higher quality utility

@@Shadhun98 Agee, it's wild that the meta with Retri, Shaman, DK, and Mage do the most dps but they also bring CR/BL and waaaay better utilities, better interrupts, better CC, grips etc. I kinda think Blizzard need to balance the classes abit more, because why would you ever take a lock compared to those classes. It's only for niche stuff like dispels on last boss in Siege or some gateway skips that Warlock actually bring some neat stuff.

My personal opinion, absolutely hate CDF as a spell. Cant tell you why, just doesn't feel good. I had a lot of fun playing ST Mayhem/Shadowburn, only using RoF with 5 plus targets. Prioritising shadowburns in execute especially when mayhem procs.
