It’s so fun to see your enthusiasm and constant grin throughout the cyphers, it’s very telling of how you feel and I had the exact same reactions as you… Your hand covering your mouth at 15:54 was one of my personal favorites haha! Looking back now I do love part 1 and 2 a lot more now than I initially did, however the one I listen to the most is definitely part 4. I prefer RM in the last cypher, although the “angry” RM is fun in the previous ones, nothing hits as hard as them truly knowing themselves and simply telling their haters “okay, go love yourself”. As a fellow Jhope enthusiast I couldn’t agree with you more on his magical flow skills, he is incredible. Suga, Suga, Suga… He could insult me straight to my face and I’d thank him. I love the idea of using a cypher to call out haters. It shows such an understanding and respect for hip hop culture and it's roots. At the same time by it's very nature a cypher exists to show off your lyrical talent against other rappers in the circle. Except instead of trying to diss each other in a tag team, which is common during a cypher, they gang up on a common enemy and unleash their talent together.

the answer to the rapper that said theyre girls because they wear make up is more evident in Cypher pt 2: when Suga says "just go to Hawaii, go home" it is obvious that he refers to B-Free, the exact rapper that picked on them for being idols, as he is originally from Hawaii. they never really said those Cyphers were about anyone in particular, but as i said, Cypher 2 really shows through that line that it is all made to diss B-Free.

When it comes to lyrics, BTS are unmatched in the kpop industry. There's obviously well written songs by other groups, but I haven't come across one that has the lyrical complexity BTS' have, there's just nobody else in their level. When BTS debuted armys where the weirdos in the kpop fan community because armys were obsessed with understanding and analysing the meaning of the lyrics, which seemed weird to fans of other groups. Kpop lyrics range from decent to weird or nonsensical, the best Korean songwriters I've come across are those that don't pertain to the kpop industry, like balladists and krnb singers, and of course, BTS themselves. I hope this comment helps to give you a general idea of how special the tannies are in their industry.

I like the way they spit words, killing the "enemy" but without descending to their level. Passive agression with so much fire! They prefer to use irony and "who has brain will understand"... The rap line have very distinct styles from eachother RM's rap is very cerebral full of doubles, triples, even quadruples at times his word play is unmatched. Suga is more blunt he tells it straight and don't sugarcoat nothing and his speed gods help me, and J-Hope's raps are so fun and unique with such creative flows even the haters can't help but nod along even as he's dissing them. You can hear how the cyphers start angry (anger def fuelled their determination to succeed in the beginning), evolve to indifference of haters & then moves to rising above it all with self-acceptance and affirmation of self-love. It's a beautiful thing. Listening to all 4 cyphers really shows the change. The change is impressive considering the cyphers only span about 3yrs.. (c1 was 2013 on the RUL82 album & c4 was on Wings album 2016) Wow..hard to believe cypher 4 is already 6 yrs old!!! But to be fair to myself, i only heard these tracks for the first time a couple yrs ago & bts tracks feel timeless to me💜

you might like watching the bangtan bomb where v just goes and does cypher 3. he's always adored what the rappers do and here he finally gets to perform some of their work. it's called "v's dream came true", so you know even the producers know how much he likes the cyphers. even if you don't react to it on your channel, it's worth a watch, it's impossible not to laugh. also, you need to experience, at lest through a screen, people screaming i love myself because of a cypher 4 performance

Cypher 2 is the most obvious about "that" guy. But they are all related to him at some point, not sure if 3 or 4, Suga mention the display of cars in that guy MV???( if you can really call that MV. In fact the only achievement of that guy in KZbin was to reach 1k dislikes in a record time and I remember again was a nice car on it. Also in one of the last 2 cyphers they mention that they are not angry at him anymore (he doesn't deserve that recognition). Making reference at the show he put on his second fake "apology". Victimising himself for the attacks he was suffering, although he apologised. A super fake apology that he thought it would turn in his favor, underestimating our intelligence. As indeed he never apologised directly to them, but make a social network detestable show.

Really enjoyed this reaction video Bryan.😁 So glad you waited this long to do the Cyphers and didn't rush just because of requests. I wonder if you realised that Supreme Boi featured in Cypher 2 and 3? Only at the very start of Cypher 2 the intro part, but in Cypher 3 he does the between verse "There are many haters, but no problem I kill...' his name or lyrics werent labelled on the Cypher 2 lyric video but Cypher 3 had his name shown off to the side on those parts. I do think he can have a similar tone / style to J-hope so you might have thought it was him 🤔 Anyway im glad you used those lyric videos as I think they translate quite well and personally I think they just look really cool with their pictures and the lyric display compared to other lyric videos. It's very creative the way the lyrics are displayed (like the chop, chop, chop part in Cypher 3 how the lyrics are kind of thrown onto the screen) but also very clear and easy to read. I love all the Cyphers. Overall 4 is definetly my favourite, obviously I love the sound of it, but also I just think it's so powerful, the ultimate win against the haters (so many great lines) and I find it so empowering and such a confidence booster for myself listening to / singing along to it. As many others have said it's the ultimate Cypher for ARMY at concert performances, BTS and ARMY banding together singing collectively against their (BTS and ARMYS) haters. 🔥🔥 I often change between Cypher 2 and 3 as second favourite. Oh and i just love Sugas Joker laugh at end of Cypher 2. Looking forward to your Cyphers live performance reaction. 💜

Cypher 2 has always been my favorite. Cypher 3 is seriously amazing, and I think Suga kills that one, but there's just something about 2 that gets me. I think it might be RM's verses. They are so clever and the rhythm and beat and the way he performs them. I am just in awe every time I listen to it. You can really see J-Hope's growth from C1 to C4, it's like watching him go from really good to freaking insanely good as he develops his style. C4 has my heart, I love the message, and the rapping is amazing, and I listen to it all the time, but C2 still takes it for me.

in the beginning of cypher 1, you mentioned that it bothered you that underground rappers dismissed RM and Suga because they were idols. What's sad is that once they've overcome that discrimination from their own country, and started to venture internationally, esp. in US, they faced the same thing again by people who just believed that K-rap isn't real rap - because it's in Korean and they have to read the lyrics or just saying it's not their thing.
