As an introduction to BTS MVs, ON was my 3 MV after Black Swan and Mic Drop. These 3 songs tell me a story. ON tells me that I'm right in fighting for my dreams. No matter what, I won't ever give up. This is a link to ON commentary docu. It's very interesting. Hope you react to it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKHJpGmXm9t8ns0

I hope you react to the On: Commentary Film Dialogue. This is filmed in LA and shows the UCLA marching band and gospel choir elements that were recorded for ON. Not many people react to this but it shows prominent american musicians showing love for BTS, how many of them are real ARMY and how BTS touched their lives. You will love it.💜

I have to say, Suga always says he never wanted to dance, but he doesn't say that he's not good at it. It's the opposite actually. He has always defended his dancing all the way back to the "Hustle Life" days. I think he enjoys dancing, he just dreads the effort. I think we'll see him enjoying it more now that he's had his surgery. You better watch out for JK, you may have a bias wrecker creeping up on you. The only people whose solo work you haven't gotten to yet would be Jin and JK. I recommend Jin's "Epiphany" and JK's "Decalcomania" or "Still With You". Would you be interested in watching some of their funny content or just strictly music? Edit: If you wanted to give V a second listen, you may appreciate the vocals in "Stigma".

5:50 Yoongi did B-boying since he was young, there is even a video of him doing it, but I think after the accident he had and after hurting his shoulder (he was involved in a vehicle accident while working as a delivery boy) he stopped doing B-boying. His shoulder dislodged and he didn't tell Big Hit, but when they found out, they helped him recover. Despite the constant pain, he danced all those choreographies for more than 7 years, he is a great dancer and he is so cool on stage XD

One part that I think is neat in the kinetic manifesto video is that when the line parts ways in front of JK for his solo, they're standing in age order, oldest to youngest. A pretty neat touch. This song is very much a rallying song for me. It helps me to remember that dark days aren't a dark life, and that you can't have the good without the bad. It sounds trite, but it's true.

The KINETIC choreo & camera-work is all amazing - yet my favorite part is the very end: BTS all standing together facing the same direction with their arms around each other - and we, ARMY, are facing the same direction as BTS, right behind them....This ending pose perfectly encapsulates the meaning of the song, "We will face it together & get up together, no matter what tries to knock us down, so bring it on."

I think I finally got the mv - BTS traded in their thorny shackles for an arc and drums and a conch to call upon the ARMY to destroy the music industry as we know it and free everyone from the current unfair systems in place to then let the new trees grow 😅

Thank for your lovely reaction. This MV is very deep and one cannot understand it without watching the explanation. It has got so many references , few examples are BIRD BOX, LION KING, MAZE RUNNER, NOAH'S ARK, THE DRUMMER BOYS (in times of war, the boys played the drums to signal different things) etc. I would suggest you to watch two explanations that one from xCeleste and the other by JoseOchoaTV. This way will get a better understanding of this amazing MV.

This is why I like watching reaction videos, because it reminds me how I was blown away by BTS in the first place. After a while you kinda take it for granted because the bar they set is so high every time, you’ve come to expect this all the time. It’s good to still feel amazed, bringing back the feeling from Day 1 when my eyes were opened.

It’s okay to not understand all of their music videos. That’s why we have very intelligent and kind armys who’ll put together explained videos for us 😂 I’m very thankful for armys who put the time and effort in those Fr. Thank you again for your reaction and they really never seize to amaze me with their artistry and talent yet staying humble. ON to me is like what u said… shadows that can bring me down but it’s still apart of me so if it’s gonna try to overshadow me during my toughest moments, I’ll be ready. BRING IT ON. ILL STAY WINNING!

I think that interpretations are subjective and diverse. That’s the genius of BTS’ music. If you notice, they never really give us a full meaning of their songs. They leave it to ARMY to interpret them according to our experiences, circumstances and feelings. That’s why there’s seldom a wrong way to interpret them.

The dancers are The Lab. A well known dance group. The music is by the UCLA marching band and the UCLA Drum corps the Blue Devils. This was filmed in the LA River basin at the Sepulveda Dam. There is a behind the scenes video about the collab with the UCLA marching band which is pretty interesting if you care to watch that at any time.

ON always gets me motivated.. Makes me feel like I can take on anything life throws my way.. 💜 Also, I think Yoongi just prefers not to dance much, but he is really good at it.. Not saying it just because he is my bias 😂 but I always watch Suga focus fan cams.. He has this undescribable vibe he gives off (swag and more) when he performs.. Although in the ON Kinetic Manifesto MV, everyone was SUPER AWESOME especially in the dance break, and JK's vocal was angelic. Thanks for the reaction! 💜 Looking forward to the next one!

Great vid- i always appreciate your thoughtful commentary! 💜 ON is really a special song that showcases BTS's versatility, musicality and dedication. For me it pairs beautifully with Black Swan -- opposite energies but both revealing of the human spirit. Both speak of fear, and Blk Swan asks 'what happens if i lose my art/self expression, it'll be like death' but ON answers; 'I'll survive the black wind- I'll just get back up, and use adversity/pain to propel myself forward-to grow as a person'. It's like self doubt precedes self realisation ("it's always darkest before the dawn" sort of thing) anyway these are some of my thoughts.😊 ( also 'no more dream' at the end of ON transitions to 'dream"- i believe this references their debut song 'no more dream' but now with ON they now have a dream. For me this is a message of hope. That there is hope, so don't give up.) Personally i cannot separate the 2 songs of ON & black swan though, as they feel like an important pairing to me, describing a whole person; like Blk Swan is the unconscious mind & private fears and ON is the conscious mind & determination to surmount those fears. Hope my ramblings make sense! Thanks for your wonderful approach to a favourite song of mine! Btw, BTS members have said that they are family after everything they have experienced together. They always support & encourage each other. It is not only their incredible diverse discography i love, but their authentic representation of teamwork, their lack of toxic masculinity, and also their ability to be playful despite stress....all this makes me a passionate fan at 54 yrs of age... I haven't felt this way about a band since my 20s or younger. BTS helped me reconnect with the forever young idealist inside me! This has helped in my healing after tragedy in my life. Borahae 💜

Thank you for your reaction on MVs and Making Film as always I appreciate your comments and the breakdown. This is one of my favorites titles songs. The meaning of the song is so powerful and motivating. I´m not a religious person either I just know the basic stuff but when the Official MV came out I didn´t realated to much into religion (even if I kown that it has so many references now) but their hopeful message and collective consciousness; for that reasong and along the lyrics this is one of my favorite MV; Spring Day as well. Related to the Kinetic Manifesto, the coreography is so powerful and portray the lyrics so well. Thanks and waiting for your next reaction.

Its common for BTS to derive symbolism from mythology, religious stories, literature, science, it doesnt exactly mean they are promoting religion, becs WINGS by BTS literally talks abt walking away from religion and questioning its teachings. Most of the symbolism is in to tie with the meaning of perseverance and strong will and passion. The mv also has several pop culture references like lion king, birdbox, maze runner and several others.

this song inspires me a lot especially when I am faced with hardship. I got the Noah’s Ark and the Lion King parallels but I was amazed by the other references such as V’s position while lying down when he was first shown, Jungkook and the thorns on his arms…. 🤯🤯🤯 thanks for pointing it out. 😳

Hey Bryan. In short ON is a motivation song to me. I'm in the same boat religion wise as you so I don't know about all the religious references either, but I love the MV and all the symbolism you can find in it. It reminds me of a dystopian world and I'm not sure if it's intentional but the stone wall opening always reminds me of the movie The Maze Runner. I'm sure Bookish Theories must have an interesting theory video on it, I'll have to have a look. I've never seen the behind the scenes for the manifesto film so it was great to watch with you. 🙂

it’s completely okay if you don’t understand bts’ mvs at first lol the first time i watched on mv i was sooo confused😂 they reference a lot of things not many of us know + they like to reference their older stuff so it’s totally understandable to just watch the explanation later. i absolutely love how you watch behind the scenes episodes after watching the mv, that’s the best way to get into bts more and see the relationship they have with work and with each others too. bts really wanted to perform on in front of armys and it’s so sad that they got to do it only after two years because of the pandemic.. but at least they managed to do it at the end so i’m happy. i will forever grieve the way mots:7 era played out, they had so many plans to celebrate their 7th “lucky” year, you know them being 7 and all and finally accepting all parts of themselves and their shadows and wanting to show it all to us proudly. also preparing all the amazing solo performances that armys never got to see in person.. ON is really one of the most meaningful songs for bts because it showcases who they really are, “Even if I fall, I get back up, scream. Because that’s what we always did.” oh and a little sidenote: bighit sometimes blurs the brands bts wear because they currently have a contract with some other brand. for example, when they filmed the on mv they didn’t have any contract so they wore nike, but by the time the behind the scenes video got released they had a contract with fila. they also blur the channel logo for example because bts are brand ambassadors for louis vuitton. anyways, thank you for this amazing reaction video💜

This reaction video was so wholesome 😍❤️ First I was Happy that I finally got the reaction and then it was 42 minutes long 🤩🤩 Nice~ On is such an energetic song, and their hard work just shows and it pays off too. For the meaning I never tried to dig deep into it, because I could derive the important lessons from lyrics and that was enought. "Like I'm not afraid to face my down moments, Bring the pain. I'm made up of this only. Win no matter what. No matter what others say. I don't give a ugh!" These lines pretty much sum it up for me 😁😁💕 Btw I also noticed you look happy throughout. It was also nice ✨ And whattttttttt You are watching Rise of Bangtan?????? Will you share it someday with KZbin Armies too? 👀👀 Also its true that they have never changed and yet changed sooooo much. Like they are still the optimistic, innocent, child like boys. They are so sincere and considerate and caring towards each other. And they have a lottttsss of love to share with us. They never changed their personalities. They were humble back then. And they are more humble now. What's changed is.. they have become more graceful. The charming personalities. They know what to give importance to and where not to put their minds (like haters & anties). They have grown up as more mature men. Looking at them, it feels like God has stopped making such gentle and soft personality man. They have raised my standards so high that I'm afraid if I'll ever fall in love 🤧🤧🤧. Who will accept a girl who is in love with 7 grown up mens!!!!! I wish God make more understanding men 🤭🤭🤭 Sorry for the rant And Thankyou so much for the reaction 💕

'cuz you know I'm a fighter'...to me, it's saying, yeah...bring it on...I'm tougher than you think I am, stronger than you think I am...than I used to be...so go ahead...try me and see what happens - or, like I tell anybody that tells me I can't do something...bet me and lose lol I don't know...it's like my new anthem...lol Thanks for asking... 😁 edited...on a side note...have we taught you nothing...? 🤣 BTS MVs always have symbolism, deeper meaning, etc lol...you should know by now to just look for an explanation video LOL

Namjoon has a deep knowledge of the Bible. In the case of ON there are several things, first is an answer to N.O. one of his first singles. From a biblical point of view, there are details like the Ark, the dove and the crow: in the Ark Noah grouped the animals, many in groups of 7, the first bird that was sent to seek land was a raven, and the last, the one that returned was the white dove. On the other side, the drums and the walls: God sent Joshua to seek the promised land, on his way he found Jericho, which was surrounded but its walls closed. He told them to walk seven times around the city, and play the drums and trumpets, when drums sounds the doors opened and the walls fell. When the MV child plays the drum, the wall opens. JK is thrown out of the walls with the crown of thorns, considering he's evil. This he says himself in the backstage of the MV. The lake, getting into the water, is an image of baptism, where everything is forgiven, renewed and transformed. There is a priest who did the analysis of this video and all the symbolisms.
