Nice about the cooling feature. With the rode mics, I don't think we should have a problem with it.
@47roo2 жыл бұрын
The rode video mics (I have the mk1 video mic pro) have a supercardioid pickup pattern which means they do pickup a short distance behind the mic too. I have an Atomos Ninja V and I have found the fan noise to be a real problems with run and gun documentary shooting. Hence looking for something else. I don't use the recoding functionality on the Ninja V as much as I thought I would be the brightness of it mean I really don't want to go back to my original cheap monitor. This could be a good option as at lower brightness the fan could be off.
@josecarrillocabrera25085 ай бұрын
Thanks for the great video. Have you noticed the levels of your metering tools changing while adjusting your brightness or contrast on the monitor itself? Not sure if I have a faulty unit or not but mine suffers from this issue. Waveform, false color, histogram shift up and down while adjusting brightness/contrast. Can't judge exposure reliably this way!!

Have you used this monitor much more since the review? I'm really curious about battery life. Being plugged into a wall isn't an option for most of my work. Were thr batteries you showed in the video were npf 770 or 550? I wouldn't being using the monitor at full brightness all of the time. How long does it last at a reasonable brightness for indoor or cloudy conditions?

I've actually never used the Shinobi before but it does look good, but very happy with the R6! We've used the Ninja V in the past which is a fantastic product for the price though so we do like Atomos products. I'm will be buying a field monitor myself. 99.9999 still photography. My goal is to have a better view of focus peaking/assist to aid in critical focus with fast lens. Shooting flowers etc wide open minimum depth of field. I'm struggling with the focus peaking on my nikon d780 55mm f1.2 nikon close up filter 1,2or 3 . This lens minimum focus is about 1 meter which is why I use the close up lens. I'm hopeful the larger screen focus peaking and zoom feature will help.

How do get your camera LCD screen to display while using the external monitor?
@RudyVisuals3 жыл бұрын
Depending on your camera, it might not be able to output a signal to both the monitor and the camera display at the same time. And others will display it, but then turn off the camera screen during recording, or will work at 1080 but not at 4k. It just depends on what camera you're using I'm afraid.

Hello, do you know how to disable the automatic brightness sensor on this monitor? I can't find it in the settings, thank you.
@philipphuber38432 жыл бұрын
I have a problem and cannot find a solution to it. While I can use the swipe up/down gesture to increase/decrease the brightness of the screen, it immediately resorts back to the automatically set brightness (from the light sensor) as soon as I lift my finger from the screen. I have absolutely no manual control over the brightness. If I point a torch onto the light sensor, it does automatically increase the brightness. To me it appears that the only thing that actually works if the fully automatic process, not the manual one. Am I doing something wrong here? Does your device operate the same way? Can anyone help?
@duykhiemphan4122 жыл бұрын
I had a bad experience with Desview R5 before which was a huge problem, the gain output of the headphone jack of it is too low to monitor when shooting and even zero output when playback the footage. This is a deadly issue because most of dslr when output to a monitor through HDMI they also mute disable their headphone jack so the monitor's jack is the only option. Could you check whether this is still a problem with this model?
