I’m not sure you understand the word detached, if it’s connected to your house then it’s attached,

So THAT is a really long story! Summarized, I wanted to do a Detached Garage but the town would not approve a variance to build the building as large as I wanted to. As a result, the government sucks and so I had to attach it to the house. Thanks for watching and I hope you will follow along with the rest of the build even though it is attached 😎👍

No worries I was being facetious it’s a lovely build and I guessed there would be some codes or something causing it. We have similar in the U.K they are called parish councils and they rule the roost so totally get it. @@DetachedGarage That's unfortunate. I remember in '92 having my garage built (Rochester, NY), and the zoning requirement was that outbuildings couldn't be bigger than the house. Luckily for me, my desired (or at least acceptable) garage size was just a hair smaller than the house;. People really should be allowed to build what they want, as long as it meets safety standards.
