All curly/coily hair is high porosity... porosity is a spectrum,d bends in our hair makes it highly porous and fragile

Hi there. Thanks for watching. I believe you're coming from a general viewpoint that groups all coily hair as high porosity but that's just a basis. It's just like saying afro-textured hair grows an average of 4" yearly, but that's not the case for every single person. Some grow 8" yearly because of genetics and other factors. Porosity is a spectrum, yes. Coily hair is also a spectrum. Not all coily hair is the same. That's why we have it in groups (Type 4a to 4c) Porosity is determined by genetics and the nature of cuticles. Undamaged and chemically untreated coily hair shouldn't be 'highly porous ' because it's yet to be compromised.

African hair can't be low porosity,I personally have high porosity hair and it's natural...my hair isn't damaged bcos I don't use heat or chemically process it Porosity is different from person to person and even a head full of hair can have different levels of porosity on its strands,d ends of the hair are also usually porous than the new growth
