As you can see in those days it was about uplifting the black culture/community it was about Better Developement of our race it wasnt about gangsterizm, it was about being black and being proud of who you are, since it was so much racial tention that stemed slavery and once the blacks started migrating to chicago neighborhoods they were introduced to the white italians who were predjudice against blacks so those wars broke out amongst them and then other blacks were creating there own gangs and then wars broke out on each other it was a challenge over who gang was the most powerfull and who controlled what areas so as time went on those kings/princes were killed or in jailed but all the gangs tried to come together and help the community out for the better but the powers that be kept breaking the bonds but this video is pretty close to what happened in those days and Don Dirk is telling as much truth as he can with what he can remember a lot of what he saying is what my uncle who was 1 of the original 7 royal python disciple verified a lot of what he said is true so just remember those of you who claim GD you are on the incoming side Larry was not always a disciple but KING DAVID was!!! Jeff fort and the blackstone rangers used to rough up the black panthers in Woodlawn which is why we never had a chapter on the south side of Chicago. In order to be a del Viking, you had to shoot your brother. This was the 60s. 1974 had the highest number of homicides Chicago and it was only black on black crime. Crack cocaine didn’t hit Chicago in a big number till 1988. By this time, the projects had already claimed the lives of many blacks people due to gang territory.

First, let me say i always appreciate people who try to keep our history alive. But in ALL cases, there are parts of the story you get wrong. Not that I'm saying its anybodies fault, but thats how word of mouth works. Anyway, no way i can touch on every single point you got wrong, but i will clear up one. David ALWAYS had kidney problems. I dont know exaclty what disease he was born with, but his kidney function decreased he got older. Now, when he got shot at the guys and galls club in '69, it was NOT a stone who shot him. Some of the members standing on security shouted out that some stones were circling the block wit their headlights out. So members went and grabbed the guns that were put away in security positions. One of the BDs dropped a rifle that went off and hit David in the back. He survived that no problem. But that incident started the. icle of him in and out of the hospital for his kidney issues. He eventually passed away from those issues in 1974
