Found this very helpful! Just rebuilt my Campy Record 10 right lever, my ratchet wheel on the lever itself, the teeth were a bit worn and I was skipping shifts, also felt like it was getting stuck between shifts, I flipped it and now it's engaging properly. I lubed very lightly with grease all the teeth surfaces, the surfaces under the washers and a tiny bit on the springs, very lightly. It's now crisp and tight. I also used this gentleman's video to do the spring at the end, best Campy hack ever!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zpm8l3evl8iHiNk

Hey sickbiker , my right ergopower doesn't click anymore when i downshift. What do i need to replace ? Thanks
@Kumichan232 жыл бұрын
The case of ergo power is engraved with veloce in white letters, but are the all parts inside the case a record one ? I remember that the model number of the case of veloce are different from record one ...

Would love to see this done on Shimano XT or XTR trigger shifters. I have looked everywhere and there is nothing really out there. I don't even expect a co,mplete disassembly, just enough to clean and lube it. The thought of my expensive shifters slowly gathering dirt and oxidizing drives me nuts if I can just maintain it.

How similar are the right and left shifters? I would like to shift my rear derailleur with my left hand on my 1x setup, and I'm wondering if there's any difference other than the number and position of the teeth on the wheel with the indexing notches. If I were to machine a replacement for this part (a mirrored version of the one in the right shifter) , do you think there's any other differences?
@MauricioAlsinaLee7 жыл бұрын
Either you are a master of doing this or Campy stuff is way easier to repair. I had to repair some Shimano Alivio shifters while ago and I almost got a stress peak by doing it so (specially when you gotta assemble the retraction spring (the big and last one)). Cheers!
@cannondany7 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna do it with Shimano shifters as well, but perhaps Campy is indeed easier.

I have a 10 speed Centaur from circa 2006 - so the older style, have things changed much because I want to replace a broken left shifter. Any advice much appreciated.
@Justmyopinionlol6 жыл бұрын
what is wrong with my 10sp veloce right shifter if I cannot shift to the larger sprockets (easier to bike up hills) anymore? I can upshift to smaller sprockets it seems but not the larger sprockets in the cassette. Which part is broken or whether this is something that can be repaired?
