My BFF & I FLIPPED over this wreath !!! We watched this closely & were talking about what colors WE would do it in. She's into the Burgundy end of the spectrum. My favorite 3 are ; purples, greens & pinks. See, we're going to get into this, because after buying ***1*** wreath from Ebay...SHEESH !!! The $$$$ !!! :( So, we're going to learn to do this to have pretty stuff, ourselves...& for gifts for family. We're SOOO thankful that you've put this on here. It's absolutely awesome !!! I am wondering if it would be possible to add crystals that have been drilled, you know...like the center of a flower. I love crystals, gems, etc. As a woman, we all are daughters of God. He's the KING of the Universe, so...that makes all of us gals Princesses !!! So, that's why I bling it up. :) Anyhoo, I'm making a Deco Mesh Wreath playlist. We just started what I call "Wreath School". ;) We're gonna watch these vids, when we get together, til we get the $$$ to make Easter wreaths. It's gonna be part YOU and part "Hard Working Mom". We really like the way you both do wreaths. When we do ours, they will be a synthesis of you both. We really appreciate both of you nice Ladies !!! Thanx soooo much !!!

I have been a teacher for 50 years. I have watched oodles of DIY tutorials and this is one of the finest teaching methods I have ever viewed. In addition to the specific instructions, including the material sources, it was marvelous. Bravo for you! I would like to make an angel wreath. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for being an amazing instructor.!!!!
@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
thank you so much P Patz. Video making process is still a journey for me but as with most things... you get better with practice, so I keep at it. I've actually watched a couple of the angel wreath videos but I have not tried my hand at one yet. I tell most people to start off using stuff from the dollar store if possible just to get familiar with making a wreath, then go buy the more pricey glitzy stuff. Christmas is coming up, so I may have to place an angel wreath on my list of holiday wreaths😊

How much ribbon of each color did you actually use? Is one 30' roll enough for so many groups?
@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
Hi Deniseo23, I try to use 2-4 different color/print ribbons and then I cut 5-6 pieces of each one. I may not use all of the pieces but that's what I start off with. One roll of 30ft ribbon can last me a couple of wreaths. Honestly, as many wreaths as I've made, I don't think I have ever needed 2 rolls of the same ribbon, I usually have plenty left over. Hope this helps :)

This is beautiful!!!! How did you secure the big green glitter pick onto the wreath? Did you wrap the stem around the wreath somehow an then also hot glue ti in a few spots to keep it in place? One of my friends has been making these for a while, so now I've got to try it too! I enjoyed your video - very helpful!!! Happy crafting!
@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Kimberly. 😊 The larger and thicker stem flowers that I cant cut, I have to work them around the frame. Its not an easy task most times but its doable. You may have to use extra chenille stems or zip ties to secure it .

@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I place my picks on top of the ribbon/mesh and secure them with pipe cleaners. You have to work the stems of the picks (if they are long) under the mesh to get to the wreath frame.

How do you stop yours from fraying. i use sealant but my still fray a little before i get wreath done

I dont add anything to the end of my deco mesh, I do add the sealant sometimes to burlap but not these. I clip everything at the end and try not to mess with the wreath too much. The more you manipulate it the more it frays

Wondering if mesh is cut 10 inches?
@tduplantier7 жыл бұрын
Beautiful! I may have missed this part but how long are each of the mesh rolls? I usually cut mine into 10" strips but yours look a little longer.
@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Tricia, yes I cut mine about 10 inches, some longer some shorter. I dont really measure anything but when i started wreath making 10 inches was the length I used.
@joelaurene4227 жыл бұрын
about how wide do you cut each of the pieces you roll?? Have you ever substituted tulle for a color you cant find -- navy is hard to find in a pinch! :)
@Blessed2CraftDesigns7 жыл бұрын
I cut each piece about 10-12 inches, I dont use a ruler, i just kind of eye ball it. It curls naturally so I just cut it where I think it will make a complete roll. Tulle is an awesome substitute for deco mesh and it adds gives it a whimsical feel to it. some of the harder to find colors can be purchased online at craftoutlet.com and the low prices are great

Love your wreaths, I was wondering how long do you make your mesh pieces and how many do you usually use on a wreath?
@Blessed2CraftDesigns6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Khara. I usually cut anywhere between 10-12 inches, I try to stay closer to 10. The longer you cut the pieces the more mesh you will need. I dont normally count the total. I cut my whole roll of mesh and use what I need if there is any left over I use it for another project.
