Very good work work, very detailed, to the point and well illuminated. Don't forget to check the brake fluid level on the reservoir as you depress the caliper pistons to avoid fluid from overflowing the reservoir, unless you never filled it up before as the pads were getting worn out, then you're good. A good brake service should also include replacing the old brake fluid.

Is there no KingPins (pins) to inspect ? I also noted it has no pad-key stainless clips as the T&C have & the rear pistons does not need to be turned in with your tool, just pressed in & maybe out for easy seal-ring replacements. I was thinking about shifting my 11 ø300 to 14's ø330mm 2 pistons in the front. But now i will check if possible to get Pacifica Calipers seems better tobseevice and probably better anti-hanging

For the most part, yes. You’ll need some sockets rather than the hex key though. I’m not sure of the size as I haven’t replaced the front pads myself yet.

I'm sure you've already figured this out, but for future people looking for this info: 13mm socket instead of the 7mm hex key 8mm socket to remove the brake line fastener if you want more slack to reposition the brake caliper out of the way The caliper has 2 pistons, not just one. There are no retainer clips but the pads are a tight fit to get in with the hardware. You won't need to put the van into service mode.

@@JamesB84 "You won't need to put the van into service mode." This is incorrect. All 2017 - 2023 Chrysler Pacifica minivans have a rear Electronic Parking Brake (EBP). To properly replace the rear brake pads, YOU DO have to put it on service mode first to the retract the piston.

I spent 2 extra hours trying to get my rear brakes to retract until I found a Pacifica thread that mentioned having to put the Uconnect in Brake Service Mode. GAME CHANGER... Uconnect > Settings > Brakes > Brake Service Mode. ONLY after I pressed this button did the system relieve the brake pressure enough for the pads to fit between the calipers. I had bought a caliper spreader and bent it badly because of this issue. PLEASE REVISE YOUR VIDEO to include this detail. Your video can be a great service to everyone BUT ONLY if you add this detail.

I just did a 2019 rear brakes I had to go ahead and and unhook the electrical mechanism to retract the caliper I have to 12 volt battery up to it in order to retract the caliper on all these KZbin videos they do not show that I wonder why

He did this at 0:16 on the video. By going on the dash through the menus, you can set the brakes in service mode, thereby retracting the electronic piston parking brake.
