Detailed Install of 11-16 Wipers and Cowl on 99-07 Front End

Just wanted to share a more detailed install of how to install the New Style Wipers on the old trucks and little tricks & tips

What up Zach, good video... dash swap vids are dope... i did the 07 swap on mine years ago nothin like you got goin tho haha anyway. I did the same and watched the mcnasty multiple times and then yours, if you do anymore front clip swaps on the 99-07’s, the wiper linkage that mounts at the center of the windshield, mount it from the underside instead of top and the right mount on top as you have it... run the bolt down in the mount location on the top and put a nut from underneath, it brings the left wiper shaft down to the same level as the one on the driver side and that black rubber/plastic piece on the wiper shaft won’t be rubbing on the cowl constantly and in my case making it move. The black arm connecting mount locations won’t be jammed up into the mounting location where the center of the cowls clip in and you won’t have to yank on the damn thing to get a bolt on both sides, matter of fact it won’t be “snug” at all like mcnasty guy says it slips in and bolts right up. Also will need minimal to no trimming on the hole the shaft comes thru and the trimming for clearance on the metal where the arm swings to. Anyone else f-ing with the wiper linkage/cowl... take note. I’ve seen no video anywhere of anyone doing it this way but it works sooo much better

Thanks brother. The mcnasty video is dogshit and the assholes won't answer the damn phone or return messages. I just fucked up a brand new windshield cowl following their video. Gonna cost me another cowl but now watching your video I'll know how to do it right and better. Keep up the good updates fixing other people's fuck ups. Thanks again.

what does the newer linkage gain you? I recently bought a 2002 f550 and the cowl has no fasteners on it so I have to go through and fix that. if this is an upgrade this is the time for me to do it.

It is for when you go to the newer style front clips like a 08-10 or 11-16 so the cowl works with the new hood

By far the best video on this topic man, as far as the torch to renew plastic will that work on the plastic trim on the front rear bumpers and mirrors ?? Man I live in Las Vegas and the sun out here makes plastic look light gray!
