I wonder if it is a "Licensed Clone Disc". Toshiba appearantly has a license from Kone to make Ecodisc motors for the asian market, noticed one on a glass lift at Arnhem Centraal station a Mitsubisihi with a ecodisc style motor. Not quite the same though but kind of inspired by it. It's been over 20 years that first Ecodisc was introduced (1996/1997) maybe Kone's patents have expired on the original design? Like how brands such as The North Face have their own Goretex clone that's basically the original first gen product that is no longer covered by patents. The patents on Zip file compression and MP3 are also expired appearantly.

I have just looked at the product catalog of Ziehl-Abegg; it seems they now also make a Schindler 3300/5500-alike motor (and so does Wittur). These models of lifts are definitely not yet 20 years old. I suspect that it would be prohibited to make a carbon-copy of a lift motor, but if you can make something similar, yet different enough from the original product, it's not a problem - unfortunately for Kone or Schindler.

This has to be the lift equivalent of the DAF 1160 engine, which bore a striking resemblance to the Leyland O.680 engine and was used to re- engine a number of Leyland Nationals. It growled like an O.680, and apparently looked like an O.680, but had absolutely no parts in common.

Guangri also has an EcoDisc ripoff. It use design of EcoDisc used in high speed elevators, but Guangri's motor installed on MRLs

I one saw a ecodisk in a glass shaft but the yellow part of the motor was bare metal and it had weird buttons it even said kone on the panels

That is like the most basic model of Ecodisc ever if it was their lifts. But it's even worse than that since this is a Generic version of an Ecodisc!

Wait a minute! I think I know what Ziehl Abegg was up to. I bet they were spying on Kone as they are jealous of them, they basically like spied on Kone on how to build an Ecodisc, another thing is that they might have brought an MX10 from Kone, then they like repainted it and put it's own nameplate on it, I would call Ziehl Abegg a generic motor company which is like opposite a generic lift company.
