The lifts in this video remind me very much of Half-Life 2

You are so daring! The first two lifts are quite dodgy, the last one I would ride if I wasn't afraid of heights. The second lift looks really hazzardous with those shaft doors without space guards, as someone can easily stand in the doorway with door closed and have the lift move past you. These lifts give a whole new meaning the "Klammrisk", because something can easily get stuck. Still nice to see that they still exist and haven't been removed for safety reasons.

Well good thing unlike some other ones like that with the caged shaft the cab is enclosed so you dont get your hands caught between the cab and the counterweight or something because it would only take one slip for an accident to happen

those lifts take manual control to a new level. how do you stop the lift at an intermediate floor?
